    There is absolutely no way to reach a real person at Stripe. Email support is very slow. Receiving online payments is extremely important for any business and it is not good to go with a vendor that does not provide any phone or immediate support if something goes wrong. And things will go wrong. They mistakenly flagged our account as 'fraudulent' and shut us down with no explanation or any way to reach them! Several days later they apologized for the mistake and re-activated our account. Will it happen again? I don't know. It makes me very nervous to go with a vendor that does not have better communication and process for screening its users. I prefer WePay because they have a very involved process for becoming a partner with them, which means, they value our relationship and understand that we are trustworthy partners.     The fact that a refunded payment you still lose the fees. Also, do not connect Xero to stripe it doesn't make reconciliation any easier and simply provides your clients with a method of not paying you the full sum of their invoice due to stripe taking a cut. It is also not presented to the client that the full amount will not be sent to the supplier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    Stripe support is egregious. It doesn't matter how pressing your issue is, you will have to wait a minimum of 24 hours. Even for significant customer problems related to Stripe, I've waited over a week. There's no direct number to call, there's no way to escalate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    We use Stripe as a payment processor for our e-commerce business. Stripe came about as a super simple method of embedding code into existing e-commerce platforms and apps to allow for a way to accept payments without any trouble. The great thing about Stripe is that it was such a simple product, practically every online platform and every app began allowing for Stripe integration almost right away. Stripe allows us to accept credit card payments of every kind and, importantly, they do an excellent job of weeding out fraudulent charges.
    Incredibly easy to integrate into whatever e-commerce platform you're using. It's excellent at picking out and declining potentially fraudulent charges. Very trustworthy in that respect. Analytics dashboard is very informative. Lots of data and information to look at.

    Through Wave Apps, I use Stripe as my primary billing method to collect my monthly web care payments from my clients. I also have it as my primary payment gateway in my client portal powered by Suite Dash. I tend to setup Stripe for my clients primary payment gateways as they are starting use it more over Paypal.

    As a social impact digital agency, we used Stripe for client websites, mostly medical membership organizations and charities. Previously, members would pay by bank transfer and the membership secretary would manually approve their memberships on the website. This was inefficient for the organization and caused delays for members to access the medical journal from Wiley.

    Overall: Not only is their system intuitive, but the customer service agents ACTUALLY like to help you! No fake smiles over the phone or loud exhaling and strained voices. You know which ones I mean ---- the kind you get from employees that don't like their job and it feels like it is a burden to help you. Yeah ---- NEVER have I experienced this with Stripe. They have a beautiful online system, they have happy employees ---- that can only mean Stripe really knows how to stay in business. And THAT is very important for my business because I use them on a daily basis. I love the way I can integrate Stripe onto many online applications for my business --- and continue to have 1 account to manage it all. I love that I can be added as a contributor to other Stripe accounts and access them via 1 single dashboard without needing to login again. Not only does this help me run my business but I am also able to offer custom coding services to others who have Stripe accounts that are trying to implement custom payments on their Wix sites via coding. I love the product and subscriptions payments --- I am able to easily integrate with programs that use my custom Stripe product page for payments so my branding stays consistent. I love that I can have instant pay out or 1 day pay out. I just love Stripe all around and I recommend it to anyone.

    Overall: It is literally the worst experience that I have ever encountered how can a company of this size can get away with no technical or general support is beyond me. My suggestion to anyone, avoid this entity with a passion but if you are ok with no tangible support then by all means utilize their services.
