1.0Duolingo constantly has issues completing lessons !!! What has to happen for this to get fixed. It constantly loses my progress, goes back to the beginning, or wherever! Constantly burning streak freezes at odd hours of the day??? Ignores completed lessons, etc. How do you get these people to fix anything. I am a paying (but thoroughly disgusted customer). 2.5The hearts system recently implemented that kinds of force you to micro-transactions if you are in the middle of a lesson. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

5.0Overall: Improve language skills for employment and career purposes,Facilitate communication with co-workers, customers and suppliers in other countriesGain a competitive advantage in international business negotiationsIncrease confidence and the ability to interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds.Access to a wide range of languages and learning contentPossibility to learn at my own pace and at convenient timesLearning in a fun and motivating environment, which helps to maintain interest and engagementTime and money savings compared to face-to-face classes or traditional language courses.
5.0Overall: I like that it is a very efficient way to learn a new language. I also like how it is gamified so that it makes it more fun and engaging. Besides, I can enroll in more than one language at a time and keep practicing simultaneously. It has a learning streak which is like if you don't practice for a few days in a row then your progress will go back to down level and you have to start again from the past although you can freeze the streak a few times. Overall it really helped a lot in learning the basics of language.
3.0Overall: At first I liked this app. Now I am ready to leave. The more I work, the more I get demoted. I am not being tested or compared to how I have done but by how others do. Not interested in that. Languages are hard for me. By keep making the sentences faster and faster, there is no point in me trying. By hitting the 'slow' button, I hear the individual words - NOT how one word blends into the next. Perhaps there should be three layers as one gets more advanced.
5.0Overall: It's very fun, very modern. The paid subscription Super Duolingo is super affordable as well, but if you can stand ads, you are quite okay with the free version as well. I cannot imagine a better platform to learn a new language on the go, on your phone, tabler, or your PC's browser. Do not expect you to be fluent in a week or a month, but every bit helps. Be patient, enjoy the cute experience and check the Klingon language as well.
5.0Overall: I have had a positive experience with Duolingo. I have switched from Duolingo to another platform to increase my ability to instinctively connect the foreign language to words/actions without intermediate english translation steps.
5.0Overall: I've been working on learning Japanese which has pretty much 3 alphabets and duolingo has made this fun and in a way I retain the information

2.0The free version has A LOT of ads. If you make 3 mistakes during a lesson, the lesson is failed and you have to watch more ads + take some mini-refresher course. The paid version removes all that, but at 120 per year, which is about as much as Rosetta Stone. They also just keep removing features: grammar hints are gone, discussions to ask for help are gone, feedback on phrases and lessons are gone, meetups are gone, etc. At the time of writing, they are also reducing the flexibility of the app...
3.0I may be the only one that favours the 2022 design; now using it everyday with positive emotions. Before that, I would often give up in fury and despair caused by its sadistic structure; asking questions and losing hearts for answers I do not yet know, or have long forgotten, or when experimenting with others answers to see what works and what doesn't; none of which should have been rebuked. This is all fixed with the 2022 design, which is intelligently designed to make sure I remember things, ...
5.0The best platform for learning languages, which also serves to practice typing and spelling. Offers to interact in forums and discussions, in addition to doing competitions by points with friends.
2.0They somehow manage to make Duolingo worse with each update
