We are using Magento enterprise for our fashion stores all around the world. It is used by all organization for every aspect of the eCommerce. We are only using an external service for printing labels and to connect with carriers. Stocks, emails, and management is completely done within Magento.
Stock management (if implemented with custom fields for location). Transactional emails. Really well done and easy to config. Access to data and accountancy. - Jeff MontgomeryCTO
We have used Magento Commerce as an E-Commerce solution for many years. We manufacture and sell our own products and supplements, so this platform has been in play for quite some time to get product to both end users and wholesalers. For the most part, the platform has done its core job - to manage products, orders, and customers. It's UI has really gotten better over the years (6 years ago it was pretty basic) and making minor and graphic updates have gotten better.
Specialized integrations are still lacking. Specific customization to a company's needs still needs vast improvement. Upgrading customizations as the core updates is a pain.
