Customer Management with attributes, Products attribute management, inbuilt cache, promo options and ERP integration with Magento make it best in all e-commerce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Adobe uses an architecture that is essentially unlimited in customization for any B2B or Enterprise level retailer. It also stores field data in a modular way which can be far superior for large complex catalogs where you need a lot of control over filtering and search result clarity. It is very, very slow which can be extremely frustrating. Only use it if you have a very large catalogue of products, I mean more than 100,000 products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Too many options and settings. You must be advance user and a lot of time to set all the settings. For developers - you MUST follow the best practices and read few books, so you don't mess with the core features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ability to manage the look and feel easily.
Ability to manage products, and do do mass product updates, etc. For example, if we want to change the price of a particular line, we can open up a master product file containing all the product data for that line. We can then update a CDV file with the new pricing data and map the new prices correctly to the appropriate skus. This is a huge time saver.
Easy integrations with almost any third-party software product.

Magento is the ecommerce platform for our direct to consumer business via radioflyer.com. We sell children toys (wagons, scooters, trikes, and other ride-on toys). We also sell replacement parts. We sell about 500 items including the replacement parts. Internally, our customer service and marketing departments are the key users. It's open source, very easy to extend capabilities and many extensions/add-on modules are available for a low cost.
Total cost of ownership is low compared to commercial off the shelf ecommerce packages.
Many useful out of the box features. Content administration is easy to learn for end users.

We use Magento as a tool to reach our direct customers. We are able to integrate it with XIP and SAP. With Magento we are able to be more flexible. User friendly interface. Very easy to start using Magento right out of the box.
Lots of useful free and paid extensions. Lots of free themes to differentiate your business.
Scalability. Magento can be used for a store of 10 products and 10,000 products.

We use Magento for our e-commerce website. The whole website is developed in Magento and the payments for our products are processed through it. We used it as it was described as a scalable solution for our future growth and a very solid platform for our needs and those of our customers. Very hard to learn and use, not intuitive
Quite clunky and slow

We use Magento for 3 eCommerce sites on a single Magento platform. We sell parts and accessories for 3 brands. Currently, there are 3 users inside the tool and the business is managing mostly front-end changes. We go to IT for almost all changes outside of adding products, changing product information, running promotions via coupon codes and changing banners. We chose Magento for its flexibility and add-ons. Too complex for business users, requires IT for a lot of changes.
Reporting tools are not great, can't customize as much as we need.
Email template customization is too complex, lots of specialized code is required to render properly.

Our organization uses Magento Commerce Cloud to manage our e-commerce accounts and transactions. Magento allows for the creation and management of subscription-based accounts and products, and it allows our users to make various updates to accounts/subscriptions through a web browser interface, as well as manage payment settings for each subscription record. Truly built for simple e-commerce subscription models. If you have any level of complexity, don't use this solution.
Payment error handling needs improvement, so that a better understanding for end-users can be gained.
Certain administrative workflows are disjointed and involve "workarounds" -- not a comprehensive solution.

The difficulty in creating and managing personalized customer experiences on our e-commerce websites was one of our primary business issues prior to implementing Adobe Commerce. However, we have been able to easily develop and modify our websites to meet the specific requirements of our clients thanks to Adobe Commerce. There are numerous advantages to using Adobe Commerce. First, we were able to divide our customers into groups based on factors like their demographics, user activity, shopping cart, and previous purchases. We have been able to tailor content, pricing, and promotions to specific customers thanks to this, which has resulted in increased sales and customer satisfaction. Additionally, our website has seen an increase in traffic and conversion rates as a result of Adobe Commerce's SEO-friendly features increasing our website's visibility and ranking on search engines. We have also discovered that customization and ease of use are benefits. Customizing usability, shopping carts, and online store features has been simple for us thanks to the rule-based product relations and drag-and-drop page builder. In addition, we have been able to test new modules and roll back changes if necessary, ensuring that the customer journey is always optimized. In general, working with Adobe Commerce has been a fantastic experience.

s a user of Adobe Commerce, I found it to be a powerful and feature-rich e-commerce solution that provided a range of tools for managing my online business. However, I also experienced a steep learning curve when I first started using the tool, which required me to invest a significant amount of time in understanding its complexities.Additionally, the cost of Adobe Commerce is relatively high, which may not be feasible for small businesses or those with limited budgets. Overall, while Adobe Commerce is an excellent tool for businesses with more extensive e-commerce requirements, it may not be the best choice for those with simpler needs or limited financial resources.

You can interact with your customers and clients easily as well as you can send automated emails as reminders for your customers to proceed with their purchasing details, or their shipment status, etc. The customer targeting feature lets you configure relevant sets of products to each segment of customers. You can integrate with fraud detection tools to minimize the chances of fraudulent customer or vendor behaviors. It allows admins to personalize their management interface for their convenience.

We ultimately have decided to make the decision to move on from Magento Commerce because the hassle in customizing the platform. Our company has specific functional needs when it comes to ecommerce, and we're constantly having to not only implement and upgrade those in Magento, but ultimately upgrade and fix each time Magento comes out with a major release.

In terms of e-commerce platforms, Magento has proven to be a great value because of it extensive out of box features and relatively moderate price. Overall, it is one of the more commonly used platforms, so it is easier to find developers who know and are willing to work with the platform, which can reduce your maintenance costs.

We are using Magento mostly to develop vendor marketplaces, multi-store marketplaces, supplier e-shops that are serving XML and JSON feeds with thousands of products to retail stores. It's stability and power for those type of projects is amazing and never failed us or any of our customers on production.
