About DxO PhotoLab
DxO PhotoLab is an image editing platform that uses artificial intelligence and DeepPRIME technology to process photos to minimize the noise in RAW files, even in photos with poor lighting. The images with noticeable noise are frequently the result of poor visibility, quick shutter speeds, or big f-stops. The removal of these faults in RAW data is possible using a variety of picture editing software. However, eliminating noise could produce more artefacts.
Artificial intelligence-based DeepPRIME technology is intended to be a one-stop shop for demosaicing and noise reduction. The program can boost a camera's ISO sensitivity, make up for the shortcomings of compact cameras' small sensors, and enable the post-processing of images taken with older cameras.
All of the equipment that you use in their labs is tested, which is what makes DxO PhotoLab unique. Its technicians examine each camera and lens for many days, measuring not just optical flaws like distortion, vignetting, and lens softness but also noise, colorimetry, and tone curves for each piece of gear. Even any in-camera picture processing is examined by them.
The outcomes are compiled in an original database that provides DxO PhotoLab with the data it needs to calculate all necessary corrections, such as that this pixel needs to be moved by a specific amount in a specific direction, that yet another pixel needs its red channel adjusted, and so on.
This information includes the camera and lens used to capture the given image, along with the aperture, focal length, exposure time, etc. However, none of these adjustments need to be made by you because the software automatically downloads the camera and lens profiles for your device and makes the appropriate adjustments after that.
Along with DxO PhotoLab, its parent company DxO offers a few more services like DxO FilmPack, DxO PureRaw, DxO ViewPoint, and Nik Collection. You can review their synopsis below.
DxO FilmPack
It is a unique calibration process created in DxO’s laboratories that allows it to accurately replicate the colors and grains of analog films as a pioneer of optical corrections, demosaicing, and denoising.
DxO PureRaw
It is incredibly easy to use and effective at enhancing the calibre of the digital photographs you'll be working with. The best of both worlds can be had by processing your RAW files with DxO optical corrections and denoising before finishing the remainder of the editing in your regular editing tool. It allows you to create linear DNG files for post-processing in any program that supports this format, including Adobe Lightroom Classic, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Camera Raw, and more.
DxO ViewPoint
It gives you total control over the lines, angles, and forms. You can adjust perspectives, rectify distortions, warp particular regions, and remedy wide-angle stretching to achieve excellent photos. In addition to being available as a standalone program, it is also available as a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, and Photoshop Elements and as a tool palette within DxO PhotoLab.
Nik Collection
It includes a broad selection of artistic tools with a variety of filters, renderings, and editing choices that may be easily learned by both demanding and user-friendly photographers. The program is compatible with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Adobe Lightroom Classic, Serif Affinity Photo, and DxO PhotoLab.
Benefits of DxO PhotoLab
