I used Otter for interviewing people for Anthropology assignments. I was blown away by not only the accurate transcripts but the ability to click anywhere on the transcript and hear the actual recording. It was fast and easy and Otter even provided chapters and summaries. I love this app and even paid for a month after my free trial was up. Their documentation says to contact support for certain issues, but when you do that, all you get is redirected to the help pages that were incorrect in the first place. And no one ever responds to the message. So they are still keeping the data that i want them to delete (along with the account), and their "AI" in the support department just keeps ignoring the request. I#'m sorry but the transcription function is simply not reliable enough for me yet. It's very difficult to quantify but I'd say it's 85-90% accurate. That might not sound a huge difference but that 10% delta means I have to spend at least one hour per hour of recorded audio correcting the transcription. It's simply not accurate enough to rely upon at the current time. I wondered if it would just take time to 'learn' my voice, tempo, pitch, etc but actually it's no more accurate now than when I started using it in early 2021. Open the app or webpage and talk or play speech into the tool, and it transcribes the whole thing, making it easy to download as text - write articles, or summarise blogs, podcasts, presentations, etc easily

Otter is an easy, accessible service. It is like having a personal assistant at your elbow who takes the best meeting notes ever, thus freeing you up to be more "present" in meetings. Otter can also be used with Zoom (and it is transparent, so people know that it's providing a transcription, which is good), with the result, again, that I don't have to worry about capturing all the ideas, thoughts, etc. that happen in a Zoom.

I purchased Otter a year ago. I was able to transcribe a few videos. Then in early spring I tried to transcribe the rest of my videos. They would not upload. I went back and forth with support trying to get this fixed. The issue was not fixed and I was told it was being forwarded to someone else. No one ever got back to me and it has been a month. I sent another email and still no response. At this point my subscription will be up soon and I will not renew.

I tried to upload a Zoom MP4 video twice (which took over an hour each time) and I just kept getting an "error" message at the end. I am very interested in buying the service... BUT... What really got me was when their support just told me to check their FAQs sheet instead of helping me.

Overall: It is just a wonderful experience and I will continue using the software for a long time I think, that is because of the friendly user interface and accessibility of using its feature. The software gets the work done for me in very good quality and precision. It was the first software to use in this subtitles field and I don't admit using it. Depending on the software and some modifications on my own, the result is very satisfying.

Overall: Overall the experiences a great experience, I find that the software does what it has to do, which is transcribe the meetings know who is talking give summaries of the meetings in my opinion is the best feature I find that the free version which gives you about eight meetings month is low enough so that if you needed more you buy the plan.
