In the early days of the AI voice, it somewhat met my need to create voiceover videos in foreign languages, although the 5000 characters limit is quite low. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One-time purchase price, which is terrific. Generating a quality result is surprisingly quick and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I used it for creating how-to use videos and I must say it did a good job. I have 20 videos of about 5 minutes each live. It is easy to use as the functionalities are limited to the very core. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I purchased Speechelo Pro a couple of months ago. During that purchase, I was told that this is a one-time charge. Now today I see that another charge of $47 USD is on my card statement from yesterday (October 21, 2021) and this sounds really disappointing. I can't even see any option in my Speechelo online account to manage my billing settings. And I purchased this software just because it sounded great and I don't use it on a regular basis. I am a web developer and I use this software just for fun in my spare time. Now looks like I have wasted my hard money for software that I don't use and the worst thing is that they charged me another $47 without informing me and without my will. Who gave them permission to charge my card without my consent? They advertised it as a one-time product and now they have surprised me with a recurring charge. I will never recommend this software. Horrible UX. Nearly every aspect is 'designed' to get the user to upgrade or sell some tangent product. This is foreshadowed when the product site makes the purchaser click through no less than four pages of 'special offers' AFTER submitting payment. Most of the options in Speechelo are premium-only, however buttons are not disabled, so clicking on them either prompts you to upgrade or tries to redirect to an alternate product (ex, 'Lingo Blaster', whatever that is). The actual useable portion of the software is a fraction of the overall UI. The site says ~70 voices are on offer for the non-pro version, but it's actually 4; the number 70 comes from 4 x (number of langages available). A little bit of lousy trickery. There's a good core product but it's mired in very bad design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    - A lack of pronunciation adjustment. For example, "I'm a Barbie girl in the Barbie world..." ("Barbie Girl", a song of Aqua band). I mean "girl" and "world". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's good for infomercials and better if you have background music. But for conversations, it is sorely lacking.
