Adobe Photoshop is used in our marketing department as a staple for photo editing and graphic design. I personally started using Photoshop about 20 years ago and I have seen it grow, change and adapt over the years. For the purposes of business, both internally and externally, Photoshop allows me to accelerate the marketing process of developing engaging content for the purposes of lead generation and brand messaging.
The new content-aware fill in CC 2019 is mind-blowing. What a great job Adobe has done with this algorithm. The masking tools in Photoshop have developed equally as well. The ability to export a layer quickly to a PNG helps extremely in the area of Web design.

I use Adobe PhotoShop for a lot of different tasks. Beginning with simple removal of objects in pictures and clean up jobs. Then for composing pictures an at least for experimenting with the programs tools. If you combine some of the existing filters and tools you can generate a great variety of results. It is like a cooking recipe for pictures.

Overall: Photoshop continues to be the best app for full creative control of your photographic images. It takes some time to learn, but the interface is very similar to other Adobe applications so users of other applications should be able to adapt well to using photoshop. Being able to control things like color, contrast, shadow and highlight, and crop are essential for photographers in their artmaking or running their business.
