What I liked about Descript is that it simplifies the audio transcription process using speech recognition. It offers remarkable accuracy in converting audio into text. I can easily correct my mistakes and remove stuttering to improve my content. I can also integrate sound effects into my video to obtain a more professional, high-quality video. I love the studio sound feature that can turn my echo filled and mediocre audio into amazing audio. It also puts silence between the words spoken which makes it easier to cut and edit audio.

Descript takes all the filler sounds out of your recording - um, uh, etc. You can shorten long pauses - dead air. I love editing from the transcript. I have a mild tremor so fiddling with the usual sound editing software is difficult. It takes forever to get it at just the right spot. With Descript, I make the change in the transcript and Descript makes the change in the audio. I can delete words or whole sentences. I can even move things around. I believe you can train it to your voice so you can add words to the transcript and the audio file will sound like it was there from the start. It's magical!

Given the simplicity, Descript leaves a lot to be desired for those who are looking for a more advanced editing tool. Again, the paywall could be the reason, but why would I buy this if I cant try the best features?

I use it for editing my live show and podcast. It's a fantastic tool that makes editing much faster. Also creating support content like quotes, clips, and audiograms is simpler. I don't have to listen through everything; I can simply edit the transcript. I'd highly recommend the tool to anyone seeking to edit audio files or create small sound bites of contents from their recordings.

We use Descript to edit all of our customer interviews and videos to be hosted inside eWebinar. We used to spend hours and hours on another video editing software and not only was it hard to learn, I could never get it to export in the same high resolution that I was editing in. Descript has saved us at least 10 hours of time per week. Taking editing time from an hour on something small to a few seconds.

Descript is currently being used by the Marketing department for developing videos & podcasts, and transcribing audio and video files for developing blog posts and training materials.
Document-style editing of video and audio. This is really a game changer, enabling people with no traditional video or editing skills to record, edit, and publish video and audio projects without help. And the overdub feature really saves time and effort by removing the need to re-record small audio changes during the editing process. Automated Transcription. Like all machine-based transcription, I wish that it was more accurate sometimes, but it is very competitive with other solutions I've used and it's very nicely integrated into product and workflow. Automatic identification and removal of filler words, repeated words, etc. Again this is really a game changer for me in terms of being able to quickly improve the quality of recorded audio without needing to do manual editing. Integrated one-click publishing. Being able to publish with one click to multiple formats or their cloud-based hosting is very convenient.

Descript is used for our podcast recordings and the making of youtube videos. It is used to help with our editing process and making. The problem it solves is editing podcasts and videos without needing to listen to every clip. Descript is able to transcribe our content and edit based on the transcription.
Descript can do better at actual video editing I wish there were more coloring features There could be more features when it comes to sound editing

I use Descript to create scripts for webinars and podcasts. I find the system very easy to use, and I like the ability to share, comment, and edit. I can see that Descript has a lot more functionality than I am currently using, and I look forward to exploring those new features. But for now, the plain old visible transcription service works well for me.
I sometimes wish I could "block and move" or delete bigger blocks of text all at once.

Overall: Descript helps my team collaborate with clients on their podcast episodes. Hosts give us their recordings and then they leave us feedback in the form of comments on the transcript. It makes communication clear for everyone on our team and the collaboration features make it possible for us to have our remote team. We are able to help our clients sound their best with the filler word detection, something that would not be an effective option if we were editing with audio alone.

Overall: I love this software it is one of the most realistic Ai text to speech out there in 2022 hands down. You can adjust the spelling of the word if the Ai does not pronounce it correctly and adjust the length of time between words in increments. I've loaded 1,000 words in at a time or more with no problem and it only takes a minute or two to process then it's ready to go, in other words, it is fast.
