Out of no where a bunch of free characters and props upgraded all the way to Biz accounts only! Making all of my PowToon videos I had already created completely useless! I just upgraded to a Pro account 3 days ago and spent over $200 and deeply regret it! Find another software to use the company has no respect for their users. A Pro account is entirely worthless now as they removed most of the features! I wasted 3 days of work and $200, to be screwed over by the company! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are articles that "explain" how to do things these articles automatically assume that you have a good hold on how to navigate the site as they do not show how to insert items to how to get to a certain option from the home page. A video that shows how to access certain options from the home page would be ten fold more helpful. It is not as intuitive to learn how to use as some may have you believe. But if you have 3-4 extra hours a day and a lot of patience then I believe you would master this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Awful customer service. You can't just sign up for a year but have to agree to annual payments from your credit card. One year later they charged $128 to my card with no notice. I contacted them immediately and they agreed to refund my money and cancel the contract. Three weeks and several more emails promising a refund I still have received nothing. Next step is to call my bank and file a complaint against PowToon. Lousy customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

En lo que he podido utilizar esta herramienta, me parece que es muy buena opcin si se desea hacer entretenidos videos o presentaciones muy creativas, ya que cuenta con muchas opciones que ayudan a poder crear contenido de manera mucho ms original que en las herramientas que se usan tradicionalmente. Esto, ayuda mucho a captar ms la atencin del pblico.

I was impressed by the animations features for presentations. Useful for educational and business purposes, I think is a tremendous help for students with learning disabilities and people who tends to be shy and anxious during public speaking. The avatar can guide the audience while presenting and the voice can be easily recorded or uploaded by the user.

My slides keep just disappearing into thin air. I save constantly, but when I go back in, one or two slides are missing, I recreated them, and I go back in and a different one is missing. And this just wasn't a one time thing. It's happened many times, and I've contacted supported and they tell me things like "clear your browser cache". No way! This is a bug, and I have better uses for my time!!!

My organization uses Powtoon to create videos that are "in-between" training videos: they are not high-profile enough for commercials or Marketing videos, but they are nicer and more professional than Zoom recordings or dry software walkthroughs. Sometimes they are informal and fun - like our "88 Seconds of Systems" videos that take a 15-minute system overview and cram it into 4 minutes; sometimes they are more formal but still visually engaging. These days, with the prevalence pf recorded Zoom and WebEx sessions, learners get really tired really fast of another talking head on a screen! Powtoon enables my organization to create different types of videos and eLearning engagements to wake people up and get their attention so they can learn something new!

I use Powtoons to create explainer videos for online courses at our community college. We encourage faculty to create videos to personalize and humanize their online courses. Powtoons makes it easy for faculty to use because Powtoons provides a variety of templates, characters, scenarios, and music backgrounds to create quick videos. We use them for course overviews, course introductions, syllabi, and videos linking course objectives to assignments. No everyone on my Instructional Design team uses Powtoons, but I have presented on the technology informally at our informal Friday team meetings and I encourage the teaching faculty I work with to try out Powtoons. There is a free version and the more robust paid version is VERY affordable for educators. Subscription-based with updates on a regular basis makes it nimble and appropriate for the work I do.
Powtoons helps me make static content more lively and interesting. Powtoons provides several templates, scenarios, characters, and music to make creating a video easy. Powtoons has a free version you can use, but the paid subscription price is VERY affordable for educators in particular.

Powtoon is a great way for me to share with our consumers new products, implementation methods, teaching tools, and educational trainings. I am able to use one of the many templates, modified for use on my website, my YouTube channel, and on social media. During COVID I could easily create daily videos to keep our clients engaged virtually. Powtoon allowed me to choose from their abundant image library or use my own. It is a very versatile tool with new images added all the time.

I keep going back and forth with them.. they keep making unneccessary changes and I am always finding myself on the backfoot. As a south african.. i cant afford to pay dollars to upgrade every time they are on a WHIM to change what we can and CAN NOT have as a PRO user. (they literally are forcing you to get pro plus and not all of us can actually afford that)

It has been very positive and was really a self-service platform. The logos and icons are really easy to understand! Quite a lot of features, so takes some time to load and can glitch, but the features are amazing! Photos, icons, themes, backgrounds, shapes... loads! there are a lot of benefits from going Premium, but I still think that the free version is good! Have fun guys!

Too expensive. After they changed to HTML4 I've lost all my previous work and now I cannot afford to use it again.
