3.5I love how easily it helps me edit my videos and transcripts. It is straightforward to use and allows me to edit things quickly. The pro features have given me a bit more options in my editing and what the video can look like, but I was able to do a lot of what I wanted without upgrading to pro. 0.0Descript allows you edit your videos with out being a video editor. It does this by letting you edit your video like a word document, making editing fast and easier than most. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
5.0Descript is the app I use after getting my files transcribed through Rev. What I like best about Descript is the ability to upload an audio and having an AI or a roughly produced transcript. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
0.0Billing that won't stop, to the point where I had my card changed. Quitting the app does not close it, it keeps hugging system resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
0.0They've been charging me a subscription fee for three months to my personal card. I can't access my previous email after switching roles. I reached out for support and their answer is to cancel my card. Terrible customer support and clearly a money grab thinly veiled under "privacy concerns". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
0.0Beyond frustrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

5.0I really like the automatic transcription, and the ease of clicking to remove pauses, "oohs" "ums", etc.
5.0I like how realistic the voice sounds on the text to speech feature and also like how you can use your own voice which is probably one of the best features.
5.0I don't know where to begin with this software and how it has formatively changed the game for my organization's podcast. It has truly cut our work time in half and opened up that free time to accomplish other tasks. From the auto-transcription to the voice recognition, Descript seamlessly integrates audio into text form which helps us build our scripts for each podcast episode. It's fascinating how powerful it is - and what's more, Descript is constantly updating the software, so new features are always popping up.
4.0Like all software, Descript isnt perfect. My biggest gripe with it is its transcription. Its not the most accurate Ive experienced. But it seems to be improving over time. Another con is that it does struggle with larger video files in my experience, and there are bugs that consistently have to be ironed out. However, with that said, the team does continue to work and improve the quality.
4.0It tends to mulfunction which makes it difficult to use Tye software can sometimes crash due to having more users on the software which i believe it has to be taken into consideration, considering that its a used software all around
4.0Well, not supporting the Arabic language mainly :((

5.0I use it for editing my live show and podcast. It's a fantastic tool that makes editing much faster. Also creating support content like quotes, clips, and audiograms is simpler. I don't have to listen through everything; I can simply edit the transcript. I'd highly recommend the tool to anyone seeking to edit audio files or create small sound bites of contents from their recordings.

5.0We use Descript to edit all of our customer interviews and videos to be hosted inside eWebinar. We used to spend hours and hours on another video editing software and not only was it hard to learn, I could never get it to export in the same high resolution that I was editing in. Descript has saved us at least 10 hours of time per week. Taking editing time from an hour on something small to a few seconds.
Automatically generates a transcript. Export snippets by highlighting text on the transcript. Exports in the same hi-res quality. Free recorder Responsive support Easily add pictures, shapes, etc. into the video. Editing video elements by editing the transcript. Easy to learn.
5.0Descript is currently being used by the Marketing department for developing videos & podcasts, and transcribing audio and video files for developing blog posts and training materials.
Document-style editing of video and audio. This is really a game changer, enabling people with no traditional video or editing skills to record, edit, and publish video and audio projects without help. And the overdub feature really saves time and effort by removing the need to re-record small audio changes during the editing process. Automated Transcription. Like all machine-based transcription, I wish that it was more accurate sometimes, but it is very competitive with other solutions I've used and it's very nicely integrated into product and workflow. Automatic identification and removal of filler words, repeated words, etc. Again this is really a game changer for me in terms of being able to quickly improve the quality of recorded audio without needing to do manual editing. Integrated one-click publishing. Being able to publish with one click to multiple formats or their cloud-based hosting is very convenient.
4.0Descript is used for our podcast recordings and the making of youtube videos. It is used to help with our editing process and making. The problem it solves is editing podcasts and videos without needing to listen to every clip. Descript is able to transcribe our content and edit based on the transcription.
Descript can do better at actual video editing I wish there were more coloring features There could be more features when it comes to sound editing
4.0We use Descript for a range of uses - recording audio, transcribing audio and video content, editing audio and video content, captioning videos and also for repurposing existing video and audio content by transcribing and using the text content. Descript is a tool that is easy to use and makes video and audio editing so simple - just like editing a word document!
Navigating multiple projects and files Ability to duplicate image and text overlays Ability to apply custom templated branding to text overlays
4.5I use Descript to create scripts for webinars and podcasts. I find the system very easy to use, and I like the ability to share, comment, and edit. I can see that Descript has a lot more functionality than I am currently using, and I look forward to exploring those new features. But for now, the plain old visible transcription service works well for me.
I sometimes wish I could "block and move" or delete bigger blocks of text all at once.

5.0Descript helps my team collaborate with clients on their podcast episodes. Hosts give us their recordings and then they leave us feedback in the form of comments on the transcript. It makes communication clear for everyone on our team and the collaboration features make it possible for us to have our remote team. We are able to help our clients sound their best with the filler word detection, something that would not be an effective option if we were editing with audio alone.
4.0This has been a huge time saver in that I no longer have to outsource the audio and video editing. Also, using the screen recording feature allows me to communicate what is on my screen. I can edit the ums and ahs out and clean up the recording before I share the video with team members or clients. This saves time in having to type out what a tricky customer service type problem might entail.
5.0I love this software it is one of the most realistic Ai text to speech out there in 2022 hands down. You can adjust the spelling of the word if the Ai does not pronounce it correctly and adjust the length of time between words in increments. I've loaded 1,000 words in at a time or more with no problem and it only takes a minute or two to process then it's ready to go, in other words, it is fast.
5.0This is a must-have product that will simplify your life. You won't realize how much time it saves until you use it. Fortunately, there is a fantastic free trial to try it out. The shortcuts are really useful and will save you a significant amount of time. There is a lot to learn, but once you do, the software will save your life.
5.0Huge time-saver. I look forward to creating video clips and editing audio (it makes a tedious experience more fun!). But more than anything it has allowed us to systematize our process in a way that wasn't possible before. We can do things now that would have required extensive domain knowledge before.
5.0Overall, Descript has made our podcast work flow tons more efficient and can't express how grateful I am for this because podcasting is sooooo much work for a solo practice who doesn't have the budget to farm anything out (except to my husband occasionally, as he's willing and free labor!).
