    There is absolutely no way to reach a real person at Stripe. Email support is very slow. Receiving online payments is extremely important for any business and it is not good to go with a vendor that does not provide any phone or immediate support if something goes wrong. And things will go wrong. They mistakenly flagged our account as 'fraudulent' and shut us down with no explanation or any way to reach them! Several days later they apologized for the mistake and re-activated our account. Will it happen again? I don't know. It makes me very nervous to go with a vendor that does not have better communication and process for screening its users. I prefer WePay because they have a very involved process for becoming a partner with them, which means, they value our relationship and understand that we are trustworthy partners.     The fact that a refunded payment you still lose the fees. Also, do not connect Xero to stripe it doesn't make reconciliation any easier and simply provides your clients with a method of not paying you the full sum of their invoice due to stripe taking a cut. It is also not presented to the client that the full amount will not be sent to the supplier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    Stripe support is egregious. It doesn't matter how pressing your issue is, you will have to wait a minimum of 24 hours. Even for significant customer problems related to Stripe, I've waited over a week. There's no direct number to call, there's no way to escalate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    Stripe is being used as our primarily billing system. We utilize it for both one-time payments and recurring subscriptions. Stripe is being used for all services we bill since it's such a versatile platform. It solves the business problem of how to easily collect money from customers. We're able to add customer information into the system once and allow auto billing to take place month over month, collecting revenue.
    Easy to set up. Getting the account set up is really easy. You just need to have some information on hand, but answering the questions/fields is very easy to get it running. Great dashboard. The main dashboard when you log in is great to give you an overview of current day revenue, past month revenue, YTD revenue, new customers, and other KPIs your business leaders will want to see. Very flexible. The best thing about Stripe is the ability to integrate it with almost any web platform, whether an iOS app or Wordpress website.

    At Flights Machine, we use Stripe for all of our subscription billing and one-time purchase payment infrastructure. Every single one of our customers gets billed via Stripe. We have both 6-month and annual subscription plans and deeply integrate with Stripe via to detect and mitigate delinquent churn and to manage our customers' subscriptions.

    We use Stripe to run our payment processing infrastructure. We're small, so as much as possible we've offloaded the work and logic of subscription, billing, invoices to Stripe. Stripe provides all of the pieces of how we bill our customers. We further pipe their data to a couple of other places which provides us with additional insight and analysis into our customer behaviour, financials, etc.

    Overall: Mostly great, like I said, the learning curve isn't the shortest, but as they have lots of options (that, after going through that learning curve you'll find they're needed in order to give your customers the best options and support) you'll be able to offer a great service for your clients, no need to get in trouble with clients because of the payment gateway.

    Overall: I switched to stripe from my previous payment processor and haven't looked back since. I thought there was going to be a ton of HTML coding involved, but the stripe client portal made onboarding new clients and transitioning my existing clients super simple.

    Overall: It is like using software from the 1990s. This is great to use because you do not need a landline but they need to add functionality such as taking a credit card in the field or in the store without an internet connection.
