I used to use vimeo to display/showcase my videos (as a portfolio) for my freelance video production and editing career. It's free plan helped me to kickstart my career as it was the first site I used. The customer support were also were active at solving my issues whenever any issues occured at my page/videos. I like it because it is the only video portal where you can find really good and quality videos.

I like vimeo because it gives time to create a video for marketing ads for any social media platform. Save me time to create a wonderful video promotion with a lot of templates available to the site.

One of the things I did like about the platform was I was able to integrate it into my website. It makes it very easy to do so. I found that it was able to be customized as well so that your videos look professional and really make your brand stand out.

El gran problema que tienen es el servicio de atencin al cliente y su departamento de ventas.

The support is just awful -- they don't actually respond to the information or questions entered. And their documentation doesn't match what support parrots back -- even when I supplied links to their documentation.

There is nothing essentially wrong with Vimeo but simply there is no reason to choose it over YouTube.

We use Vimeo Pro across multiple departments at our organization to host various types of videos. We primarily use Vimeo Pro to make our media available to the public, giving them access to share videos with others, but it is also used frequently for internal purposes to host training videos and also as video review process for promotional videos.

We've started using Vimeo Pro for all of our videos we post for our nonprofit. Vimeo Pro allows us to upload multiple high quality video files to our account without restrictions. The tool also is much more user-friendly for professional videographers than YouTube and has much cleaner embeddable capabilities than other online video tools.
If we want to provide a URL link in the 'About' section below our videos, those are automatically hyperlinked, which has increased our conversions over Youtube videos. Vimeo Pro allows us to upload files directly from Final Cut Pro, thus removing the middle step of exporting a video and then having to upload the file. This can take up to twice the time. We're able to upload multiple high quality video files weekly and not worry about going over the file limit of a standard Vimeo account.

We use Vimeo to publish our completed client films. The clients get a download link as well as a sharing link which is a Vimeo link. In the video's description on Vimeo we add related project information crediting contributors and in the tags we add SEO related information. Through both the tags and the video description, we have gotten new work from people who found our films on Vimeo!
Vimeo allows users to easily search through their body of work in just seconds. Vimeo allows us to tag each film independently based on its content. Vimeo allows us to sort like films into showcases (like folders). Vimeo allows people online to find our films easily.

We used Vimeo Ondemand to sell access to high quality mountain films.
Cost - expensive for what you get Analytics - very hard to get information about sales or users Customer service - help desk [seems] weak and customer service essentially [feels] non-existent

The only thing was the ability to stream pre-recorded videos hosted on Vimeo which recently totally failed to deliver and that's why we are leaving.
Customer care. Putting the customer first. Live streaming technology. Follow up on critical support tickets. Internal communication. Commitment to what they promise. Delivering on time. Considering loyal old clients.

To upload commercial videos onto Vimeo I was forced to get onto the Pro plan ($240/yearly). This is not obvious on their pricing page. They enticed me in with the free plan, and then forced me to upgrade after I invested so much time uploading my videos, or risk having all these videos deleted!

I sometimes use it, but it can't achieve YouTube. I can't understand why people have to pay for uploading their videos into the cloud storage knowing that they can make a profit from it. Even they have in FAQ the answer to this question.... but I can't find the answer. LoL

Youtube, flooded with adverts everywhere, has become a dreadful video hosting site and is now a living dead. Vimeo is way better. Highly recommended.
