    There is absolutely no way to reach a real person at Stripe. Email support is very slow. Receiving online payments is extremely important for any business and it is not good to go with a vendor that does not provide any phone or immediate support if something goes wrong. And things will go wrong. They mistakenly flagged our account as 'fraudulent' and shut us down with no explanation or any way to reach them! Several days later they apologized for the mistake and re-activated our account. Will it happen again? I don't know. It makes me very nervous to go with a vendor that does not have better communication and process for screening its users. I prefer WePay because they have a very involved process for becoming a partner with them, which means, they value our relationship and understand that we are trustworthy partners.     The fact that a refunded payment you still lose the fees. Also, do not connect Xero to stripe it doesn't make reconciliation any easier and simply provides your clients with a method of not paying you the full sum of their invoice due to stripe taking a cut. It is also not presented to the client that the full amount will not be sent to the supplier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    Stripe support is egregious. It doesn't matter how pressing your issue is, you will have to wait a minimum of 24 hours. Even for significant customer problems related to Stripe, I've waited over a week. There's no direct number to call, there's no way to escalate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    We use Stripe to run our payment processing infrastructure. We're small, so as much as possible we've offloaded the work and logic of subscription, billing, invoices to Stripe. Stripe provides all of the pieces of how we bill our customers. We further pipe their data to a couple of other places which provides us with additional insight and analysis into our customer behaviour, financials, etc.

    We use Stripe for credit card processing. Many of our departments internally use it and my experience with it has been on the Customer Support side. Stripe does a great job capturing everything we need while keeping the security of the customers and allowing us all the functionality that we need on the support side to look up charges and be able to refund, recharge, and work with disputes.

    We use Stripe for all of our website transactions and we use the website interface to process credit cards for wholesale customers who call in to pay their invoice with a card.
    We've not had a single issue with it not working. The interface is convenient and easy to use. I know our transactions are safe using Stripe.

    I do not recommend Stripe to all e-commerce operators. Buyers can dispute transactions without providing any proof of the faults they are complaining about or disown the purchases they have made. On my [sensitive content hidden] site I made two purchases of about 4500. the first one was marked as not risky, luckily the product the scammer ordered... arrived late so I didn't send it to him... otherwise I would have lost 4500. In any case they always make money because even if the purchase is really a scam they keep the commission. In my case 180. The second suspicious operation, I reported it to the support service (I have the email) and they advised me to return it and as a reason 'scam'..to avoid paying 181. Stripe in any case charged me their commission as if it was a successful purchase. Basically..you defend them from scammers and they make money from it. They exclude themselves from any problems because they are based in the UK. AVOID THEM The proof of their totally questionable behaviour lies in the answer they gave! EXPLAIN TO ME WHY YOU GET COMMISSION ON A FAILED SALE? IT'S NOT THE 10 OR 20 BANK CHARGES. THEY ARE COMMISSIONS ON NOTHING!!! ON TWO TRANSACTIONS I HAVE LOST 360. TO ME IT IS A FRAUD

    Stripe is a absolutely essential. You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you use anything other than Stripe when building payments into your business. I've worked in many different industries at this stage that use Stripe in different ways, and it works flawlessly every time.
