Aquia DAM is easy to use and gives a ton of customizable features. From creating portals that we can share with the team to being able to integrate it easily with other vendors and websites, it is the full package. It was easy to implement within the company, easy to train our staff on and is used on a daily basis. We wondering how we used to function before we added the DAM. The Acquia DAM has completely changed the way we manage our digital assets. We started out with packaging graphics, and have now expanded to multiple teams and business units, all with their own unique assets. Our DAM is heavily used every single day, and has made many improvements in the way we function in our individual roles and as teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Devops as a Cloud, I have had some good experience with Acquia DAM. One thing which I like about this software is the way it simplifies our digital asset management. For a platform, it is excellent at how organized and efficient in the way we can organize our extensive media library, making assets easy to search and use. It is especially good if we are partnering with external agency, thus improve the efficiency of our work flow. Supporting multiple formats also makes my work easier, as I deal with different types of media. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The process of uploading and tagging is tedious. It is absolutely near impossible to get users to add photos to the system because the process is a barrier to entry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My only dislike would be the fact that it takes too long to download an asset. A majority of the time I'm on Widen I'm looking for an asset that I need ASAP but it'll take around a hour or so to download a high res asset. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Search is difficult to use. Too much of an abyss to streamline a process. Too many options and connections to where it's difficult to find what you're looking for. You have to be very exact when it comes to search. Tracking also doesn't work in Google Analytics. We have access to our widen url in GA but most of our campaign tracking does not flow through. When we implemented Acquia DAM (Widen), it was a game-changer in keeping digital assets organized and easy to access. It's used daily by employees, partners, customers, etc., and alleviates the need to request said materials from Marketing to manually find and share out.

Our client provides us access to their media resources via Acquia DAM (Widen) Collective. Access is provided to all users on our learning and development team. As an instructional designer, I need access to client media, such as images, videos, and product spec sheets. I have worked with several clients, and LG is the first to use Acquia DAM (Widen) Collective. This has made my job much easier, being able to go to one centralized location for content and media. No more emailing the different departments for specific videos or images based on the current project. Also, It's great because you have access to the latest content as soon as it's available. Acquia DAM (Widen) helps me to be more efficient and save time by finding the majority of information available in one place on my own time. No more waiting for an email or worse, spending time figuring out who the contact for a specific image or video might be.

Our company uses the Acquia DAM (Widen) for both our sales teams and marketing teams. We have several business units and prior to establishing our Acquia DAM (Widen) Collective, we had no standard practices for asset collection, storage, and sharing. We had assets in a variety of shared drives and it made accessing and keeping track of files a nightmare. Acquia DAM (Widen) has become our single source of truth for assets and has made our marketing and sales teams more efficient across all of our business units.
Customer Support - they always reply quickly and their implementation specialists go above and beyond. They really provide you with the tools you need to get the most out of your collective. They listen to customer requests and suggestions and are constantly improving the user experience. Customizable - We have multiple business units that have different needs and workflows. We've been able to customize our metadata fields, asset groups, and user roles to accommodate the complexities of our company. Portals - the ability to share assets with a variety of audiences in a platform that we can customize to reflect our brands has been a huge improvement from our dated-looking extranets and Sharepoint sites that we used previously. They are also really easy and quick to create!

We used Acquia DAM (Widen) for all of our accounts to have access to our product images. This helped free up my time so I didn't have to send assets out individually.

I was the project manager for implementing this system within our organization. We purchased DAM, Portals, Workflow, and Templates. Many of the gripes below we have been told that have heard the same from a lot of clients, but there is no indication of if they will ever be addressed. Additionally, this system and many of the add-on tools require any outside users to have a licensed seat for the DAM which can add up - especially if someone who may submit a form or use a template has absolutely no need for access to the DAM. This is very different on systems that allow collaboration with outside users back and forth. Breaking this out into a few sections; DAM (Asset storage and tagging), Portals (asset sharing), Workflow (including forms), and Templates. DAM: I would give the DAM aspect a 6 out of 10. It's fine. But it truly is just a space to store your assets and tag them. It does not provide a single source of truth, because if you want to have an AI file, a production ready print file, a screen file (without dyelines and bleed for example), or an immediate access printable PDF without crop marks, you can't have a single source of truth because you have to have four separate files/assets saved and tagged in the DAM and they don't talk to each other to know there are four other assets to update if you make a change in the working file. Additionally, tracking of asset downloads and usage is not as rich as you would expect it to be. Portals: The brand portals are really the useful piece here, but it's an upcharge. It is not that different, and you are already paying a lot of many for basic portals. This should just be the standard. We were sold these portals with the idea that what we were getting was the brand portals. It's not, and the standard portals are not super useful. Workflow: Don't waste your time. It is not a project management tool, it's not made for marketers or by marketers, it's lacking in so many areas but most importantly the intake form is a flop. Templates: Templates has major potential, however there is no option for dependencies "if you use this image, then use this headline" and also no option for parameters on text boxes, for example to say this is a price and the price can't be higher or lower than X. While templates require you are a licensed user to utilize, they don't save your work! If a template is submitted and decline, the user can't just make an edit and resubmit, they have to start completely over.

My team uses Acquia DAM (Widen) for product sell-in and sell-through we are getting the product ready to get approval to be sold and published on retail websites. We organize the product by seasons and events to make users able to easily locate the assets using Acquia DAM (Widen)'s portals and provide users with links to each milestone event to have easy access to the product to download and use in digital catalogs for a sell-through.

The Digital Asset System was put in place to provide easy access to assets owned by Trek Bicycle Corporation for those internally and externally. These assets can be ordered and downloaded at any time of day or night. It's an invaluable tool for our dealers, distributors, and international offices. ' The Media Template is an online ad, and media builder. It allows Trek to control brand consistency, while it allows our users to build media in minutes using pre-approved images and text without the need of expensive software programs. We use this portion of the site to provide promotional items and in store signage to our large dealer base.

This software completely changed our office workflow. Finding assets used to be very painful, but with all of our assets in one location and users connected to the DAM it makes finding things easy for our office, as well as external clients. By empowering our users to find their own assets it frees up our designer time, for things like DESIGN!

We are using it as a one stop shop for our field team to have access to training, resources, selling collateral, company news and other helpful things. We also love that we can quickly update the versions when needed. The team has been less frustrated now that they have 1 place to go.
