We migrated over to box 4 years ago and now have over 3k users accessing box daily. The web interface is intuitive and packed with features, but in a way that allows different types of users to either take full advantage or to just use it as a content repository. It's really easy to get users in and working on your content and I particularly appreciate the solid version control and ability to see exactly what's happened/is happening with a given piece of content at any time. Box also integrates with just about anything so in addition to the baked-in features, you can link it with lots of other applications, making the whole experience very seamless. On the admin side, the controls are very straightforward; we found the initial deployment pretty easy and migrating additional data into our instance over the last 4 years has been very simple. With the new data onboarding options, I can see this would be even more straightforward for new customers to move large initial datasets. Our support team at box are helpful and friendly - I enjoy being able to discuss new ideas with them and contributing to the ongoing development of box (where I've already seen several updates related to ideas I've had or supported). Frankly, I can't recommend box enough! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sharing with others and controlling the access is much better than Sharepoint. When working with a client we can share files with the client so that they can see only that file. But in Sharepoint sometimes we have to share a folder. The new canvas whiteboard feature is good. Box Notes is good, predefined layouts are perfect. For example: Meeting Agenda, project plans, Project Status, etc. The relay feature is good But not explored much. Need training material to use relay effectively Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Box is easy to navigate and very easy to keep files organized where they aren't taking up space on my hard drive. I have not had to speak to customer support. I use Box every day that I work. It is integrated into salesforce and also able to be used on its own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We often refer to Dropbox internally as 'Box', and being that the logo and typeface is so similar causes so much brand confusion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

That I can't share videos easily, the system does not integrate nicely with Salesforce, you have multiple log in and request. Files are not filtered and searchable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What we like most about Box here is how easy it is to use and manage. Any of the relevant stakeholders from our team can quickly jump in, find what they're looking for, and then easily share out a document. They also make it incredibly easy to make quick changes to documents right inside of Box, without having to download a document, edit it, then re-upload it. The speed and ease of use keep us running smooth when it comes to storing agreements, fundraising documents, or anything else in between.

Box currently helps my company solve all concerns, around security of sensitive files we save in the cloud, accessibility of critical content by anyone across my organization and collaboration, to aid productivity across teams and departments. I have used this tool since the first day I joined my organization and I am absolutely satisfied by the quality of file security, the high level data encryption which Box employs and of course the level of seamless productivity Box brings into the workflow process in my company.

Box provides enterprise document storage and collaboration space for all teams. It is easy to use, with minimal administration required for day to day operations, but also provides enterprise level security controls that are required.
Ease of administration. Ease of use.

It's used by our department. It provides reliable and easy to use document storage, which is accessed by hundreds of users daily and is essential for our day-to-day.
The user interface is extremely easy to navigate and allows less tech savvy users to find what they're looking for easily. It is reliable and we have never had an issue with lost or missing files (unlike our previous document storage). It is fast to upload/download, and if there are ever issues affecting the user experience, administrators are notified and kept up to date so we can disseminate the information through our organization.

axaxaxaxaxax Our app integrations let you open, edit, and save files without leaving Box, so your teams can get their best work done. Wherever files are created, accessed, or edited — from Microsoft to Google and Zoom to Salesforce — Box gives you one place to access and manage them all.

I work as an ERP/CRM consultant. In several companies, I've linked Box to NetSuite. Box should enable the user to quickly attach files to NetSuite transactions.

Our institution uses Box just on an individual and as-needed basis. We pay per user. It is basically used as a second level of cloud backup for critical data, beyond what we store in the cloud with our primary cloud storage provider. We use it as secondary due to its ease of use and reliability.
Price negotiation/flexibility. Room for better integration with Google. Very poor at understanding my institution's specific needs.

Overall: I have been using Box for many years. As an early adopter, I can say that the brand has been loyal to its early adopters and that is really appreciated. I only ran into an issue once with a storage related issue and their support team had to run a script to fix it but they were very responsive as they tackled my request in a few business hours which was impressive. Highly recommend.

If you are thinking about using this service personally or for your enterprise, I would highly recommend that you reconsider. Its expensive, and the features that make the product so expensive do not even function properly, though box would claim that they do. For example, in the below github issue post, a box employee describes a bug in the api which moves one user's box content to another user account, stating that it can timeout, which makes automation or application development all bu...

Not a day goes by we don't have problems with box. It's document search capabilities are just as bad as Dropbox in 2010. It seems to give up after 1000 words and doesn't support pages or google docs. Drive at least supports the latter and seems to never give up indexing a doc. Google Drive File Stream is better in every way. The only thing it Box does "better" is it allows real time iCloud stuff through an iFrame, but the feature has no off button, makes document loading slower, and has terribl...

My university offers unlimited space on Box, and I assumed that Box Sync worked the same way as Dropbox. But unfortunately, it constantly spins without syncing claiming instead that it is "Scanning Files." I searched for this online and discovered that it is a common problem especially on Mac. Instead of scanning just the files that have changed, it rescans all of the files. So even though they claim that your space is unlimited, the number of files that you can sync is limited the time that th...

They send a email confirmation to complete registration and so far when I can get them to actually send one a few seconds later when I try to use it it is already expired. Oh well, I am not trusting my documents to a site that can't do any better than this anyway. _[Edited by ruskelljd, August 31]_

I use it to send large attachments as an alternative to dropbox, thus keeping within free storage limit. It integrates with Thunderbird mail, so is OK for that.
