4.0We vetted a dozen DAM options when considering the right move for our 30 years worth of digital assets. Canto stood apart because of the combination of consideration of its staff and face recognition and related industry tools being the right fit. Thus far we've been very happy with the move as onboarding and setting up our DAM has been clear and smooth. Our implementation manager is communicative and tailors support to fit our team. And the interface has a very brief learning curve to maximalize on its usefulness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
5.0I was hesitant to start using canto when I first jumped in- the dated UI doesn't instill much confidence. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Canto offers more features than it's competitors. Being able to organize assets by type, date and tags is extremely simple. Creating users, assigning access and selecting roles is a breeze. The approval tags are extremely handy for quickly locating finalized content. Being able to download multiple formats of a particular asset is something we came to rely on. You can quickly watermark items, which saved us having to open up photoshop. The versioning system saved us from multiple stupid mistakes. I love how Canto groups files automatically, saving us time. Canto is a very robust Digital Asset Management system and I would have zero problem recommending it to anyone! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
4.5It can be a bit daunting migrating to a new platform, but Canto's implementation team made it easy. With weekly dedicated check-ins and responsiveness to questions outside of those meetings, as well as user on-boarding, Canto's implementation team set up our DAM so we can confidently use it. Their customer support is also just as responsive and great to work with if and when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
0.0Slow and laggy to navigate. Trying to use an existing link becomes out of control of you share a lot of files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
0.0Everything is a nightmare. Even our professional graphic designer never could use it for our team. We immediately asked to cancel Canto but Canto refused and even after one year, they still keep sending us invoices and never responded to our emails to cancel this scam Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
0.5The complete functionality of this product is terrible and labour intensive, It can not be used easily as a DAM or image library Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1.0Customer service is a joke. Interface is terrible. Nothing works. We found Google drive to be much better than Canto.
1.0I can't get over the complexity, cost, learning curve, and manual work required in order to make the software function.
2.0Canto is advertised as easy to use for designers, and it is terrible. We have two designers that will work in files and we cannot view the photos that each other put in the files through the Canto Connector in Adobe. The extension always disappears from our extensions, and it has to be cleared out of our computer which leaves all of our documents with missing links.

10.0Our marketing and sales departments use Canto. Canto makes it simple to share images with partners, vendors and clients. It is a true time saver for our team and allows us to have complete control of where our images are going and how they are being used. It is by far the best DAM software I have used and provides seamless customization and sharing options.
10.0Our USA team uses Canto as a way to catalog architectural references featuring our materials. This internal database makes it easy to review the textures, colors, and special applications in a visual way while also allowing for easy searching. Any employee can find a use case that fits a customer's question within seconds.
10.0We use it across the company to have one comprehensive library of our images and video. Before Canto, we had thousands of folders across the company that held this content and it was impossible to organize and find specific images. Now we can simply search and download images that we need! Plus, sharing with links, light editing, and cropping in the software is very helpful. Version control is key for our company too as many people like to create many versions and we're never quite sure which is the most up to date.
1.0We use Canto to share our print and digital marketing assets across 200 offices
Account management/Service Adobe connect can be cumbersome to use More live trainings
1.0We had been using Canto as a DAM system for one of our clients. It was primarily used by client-facing individuals to access our processed digital assets and internally for image reference.
Simpler syncing with Gdrive. Seamless integration with Adobe Creative Apps (I'd like to be able to open and save to Canto live from within InDesign/Photoshop without downloading and reloading it back.
2.0We use it to upload and share event photos with attendees and speakers. We also use the platform to tag attendees and speakers and then use those photos for editorial purposes.
In my opinion, it is the worst UX I've ever seen, it's a very outdated UI. Lots of functions could be improved. It wants to offer a lot but, in my experience, fails with almost everything. I feel like there is a lack of product direction and focus.

4.0Overall: Overall the experience has been good - customer service is prompt and helpful and they respond quickly to issues. Overall it serve the purpose of organizing, tagging, filtering, searching, downloading and sharing. The feedback has been positive from other users, so long as they can find what they are looking for (and this is due to whomever is in charge, tagging, and doing the organizing). This is not a product that will take care of itself, you need an administrator that is working in the product on a regular basis to make it work.
5.0Overall: Overall we had a good experiencethe sales team was helpful, the onboarding team not-so-much (which we passed that feedback on accordingly and they listened), so it took my team a little while to get fully up and running using Canto. Now we have fully implemented it across our organization, and I hope Canto continues to grow and improve the product because we hope to use it for years to come.
5.0Overall: My overall experience with Canto up to now is amazing! We have made it possible to combine information from all our company departments and combine them to be helpful to anyone needing something. There is not much else out there that will be any better or do any more for you. Its perks are endless and they stand behind their software!
4.0Overall: Since there is no longer a need for a middleman, the company may more easily acquire the supplies they require. I also like how it serves as a visual record of the development of the business. It has given us a secure channel through which to disseminate resources like guides and movies to the appropriate parties.
5.0Overall: Our representative always responds to us in a timely manner. She is very helpful with any questions or Canto solutions that our university might be interested in.
3.0Overall: Canto enables me to grant file access to many of our departments world wide.
