As a web developer, I use Visual Studio all the time. What I find most helpful about Visual Studio are its collaboration capabilities, particularly its interaction with Git version control systems. This approach maintains the feasibility of code review while promoting effective collaboration and project management.Furthermore, Visual Studio makes it very easy to use extensions. Visual Studio is a very powerful IDE.I enhances code efficiency with features like IntelliSense and Syntax Highlighting. The inbulit debugger is helpful for easier identification and creection of bugs. Customization is a key strengh of Visual Studio with the use of various extensions. Cloud based development is also easy with Visual Studio as it can be easily integrated with Microsoft Azure. There is a wide community & customer support for Visual Studio as well. I, personally love how easy it is to implement ideas to code with Visual Studio's syntax correction and debigging tools. I use Visual Stuido for almost all my projects. Visual Studio crashes all the time. I have personally used the program and downloaded it for clients as a tech support consultant - the program is unreliable over 90% of the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is easy to find support for all-Microsoft solutions, but if you want to create something not Microsoft-centered (say, use a DBMS which is not MSSQLServer), it's difficult to find documentation -- and to integrate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I spent 40 minutes watching all the intro videos, and when it got time to start I have literally no idea how to start coding in c++, and nowhere on the internet provides a valuable guide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The extension marketplace is very good. The built-in terminal and Git integration are also huge time-savers.

Visual Studio IDE is used by my department, not [the] whole organization. It is used to develop web applications which are being used by our whole organization to visualize data. There are many business problems which we deal [with] in my organization. Users need to visualize data on their desktops. For that they need to install a Windows application on their machine which was really very time consuming and difficult for every user. Rather, we developed a web application for them so that they could view data on a web application which we built using Visual Studio IDE which gave us large inbuilt functionalities like web applications, windows applications, windows services, [etc.] Another business problem was that my organization needs a survey from lots of people from different regions and different ages across the world. Earlier they used to take the survey on page and then reconcile them after putting [in a] lot of effort and time. It used to take lots of time to get results of the survey, but we designed a Web Application in VS IDE using .Net framework which gave us a lot of in built functionality to create a dynamic web site and using html and Jquery designed a user friendly web page to fill the survey and get the results on a click button which was a fast and efficient way of taking the survey.

We use Visual Studio IDE to make software that will be used with our product. We use the .Net framework with C# language. Visual Studio IDE is probably the best programming IDE we are using. We use it for more than 10 years and we plan to use it for another 10 years and beyond.
Easy to build software Easy to debug our software Intellisence is fine

I personally write both frontend and backend programming languages and on a new pc, mac, linux or whatever is the the first thing I install on it. The community is great as you can find everything you need to develop. Plugins, themes and great stuff are available on the market, both paid and free, almost free that is a really good thing. Sometimes you have to be a geek for the settings but overall it is a must to install tool.

I recommend VS Code to everybody. It's free, it's stable, it's powerful, and it does the job well. Even when I use specialist Jetbrains IDEs, I keep VS Code around for odd-jobs.
