OpenSCAD is an amazing 3D CAD modeling software that lets users bring their wildest creations to life. With its powerful features, it allows a vast array of complex shapes and textures - from basic 2D forms all the way up to realistic materials for simulation. Its custom parameters even let you fine-tune your design before bringing it into reality with printing or manufacturing processes.

5.0I highly recommend this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
4.0OpenSCAD being quite popular, there are many reusable part libraries available in e.g. ThingiVerse. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
5.0I like that its pure lines of code and I like to use GIT for configuration management. In contrast I've also used much Fusion 360 which is a visual language, and its lack of an explicitly code base for version control is a nightmare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1.5As I mentioned earlier, it is necessary to learn how to use it, a user with little programming knowledge can find it very difficult to learn how to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
3.0Takes a little while to read through all the features, which is sometimes a little painful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
3.0* there are (arguably) better alternatives for simple tasks, like, imho, Fusion 360 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

3.0Overall: I was using OpenSCAD during my work in a start-up company. It was selected because of the open-source license. The software is free and has an interesting way of creating models. Each part of the model must be defined as a programmed, mathematical function. Smaller shapes are easy to create, while more complicated ones are becoming huge complex blocks of code that are difficult to understand. Also, the bigger the code is, the more challenging is to modify it in a way user wants. OpenSCAD needs extensive programming and mathematical knowledge. Exports or imports of items work as expected and can be easily used in other apps. Blurred preview of the solid along with the complexity of shape creation and lack of annotations made OpenSCAD hard and exhaustive to use. Due to a large amount of free software on the market, there is little community support, so users are usually getting little help with problems and questions. To tell the truth, I cannot recommend OpenSCAD. It is limited, feature-poor software that has a complicated way of working. It may be good for hobbyists who want to play with programming and are looking for a challenge.
4.0Overall: Openscad est mon premier logiciel de conception mcanique, il m'a aid dvelopper mes comptences et me lancer dans le monde de l'impression 3D.J'ai pu raliser de belles picesIl m'a galement aid apprendre coder
