With Clearscope, I don't need to write directly into Clearscope, as it has a built-in integration with Google docs. I can leave it running, and as I work, see my SEO stats, suggested keywords, and more, in real-time, helping me bump up my SEO score as I go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If your reading level is higher than recommended, good luck finding which sentences are the culprits. It just says it's too complex, and leaves you to change word for word. Also, the relevant keywords aren't always that relevant, depending on the angle you're taking for your article. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Clearscope offers a WordPress plugin and Google Docs extension. Also, I like that it's easy to share a link so you can easily use Clearscope with freelancers or team members who aren't logged in to the account.

I have been writing articles on google docs for many years now, and keyword inclusion was a pain. Clearscope's integration with google docs shows a list of keywords on the right, their usage times, examples, etc. You don't need to switch between tabs looking at which keywords you have used and which you haven't. Excellent time-saver. The highlight option is also good, it helps edit without accidentally erasing any keywords

The grading system is not transparent or smart. It's possible to get an A++ just by stuffing keywords. The word count can often be wrong as well.

    - It could take a page from the Hemingwayapp and highlight which sentences are affecting the reading level grade. - Some keywords aren't relevant to the post you're writing but it's pretty merciless and won't give you a good grade until you include them. I was writing a post about "teamwork software" and Clearscope insisted I include the names of competitors (which the client explicitly said not to) and terms like "teamworkpm" which just make no sense.

It's still fairly early in its development (given the small size of the company), and would love more features around account management and tie-ins to common CMS's to help automate more of the process with companies/clients.

Anytime we create an article that's 1000+ words, we are automatically generating a Clearscope report. It comes into our workflow after we do some initial keyword research and decide on a primary keyword. We look at Clearscope as being an important content optimization step. The alternative is paying somebody on your team to do all this research and they may not even do as good of a job.

Clearscope bridges the gap between SEO research tools like Ahrefs, Moz, SEM Rush, etc., and the hours of research a writer needs to create exceptional content. Once you've identified your lead keywords, Clearscope analyzes the top-performing competitive articles to determine the topics you'll want to cover, reading level, and length. Once you've written a draft, Clearscope will analyze your content with a simple letter grade, and show you which topics are missing or underserved. Now, of course, Clearscope won't tell you how *well* something is written--its persuasiveness, organization, flow, etc. But it does tell you how well you've covered the topics to meet a reader's intent. For several clients, and for my own work, I use Clearscope to generate the topics and infuse them into the creative brief for a writer. I'll also use the software to grade the writer's draft and sometimes will include that in their writing process. I'll also run existing content through Clearscope to see what optimization opportunities exist.

Clearscope is a great addition to our content process. Not only do writers get data driven recommendations that makes our content depth better, weve goten 26.7% month over month search traffic growth with the content over the last 1.8 years on the platform. Also, Clearscope is dead simple to use and their customer success team is on point and has great domain (SEO) knowledges. Thanks,
