The ability to parse out so many different page types and data sets in Botify is a huge plus for a large e-commerce site. While most crawling tools offer limited data and no ability to segment out different marketplaces, pagetypes, or URL strings, Botify has massive configurability to make sense of what is happening in those segments. Additionally, we can set automated alerts and customized insights within Botify to let us know when common issues happen on the site, or when our implementations lead to growth. The best thing about Botify is how easy it is to use; I've used other crawl analyzers before (Screaming Frog), but Botify is clear, simple to use and yet powerful! The variety of different analysis functions it offers is more than I need as a content editor, so it's a great tool for use across functions and disciplines across the business. We have a technical SEO team who use Botify to alert them of potential problems with our website, and I use it to get large swathes of information, such as which of our 7500 blog posts have been correctly tagged with a translation tag via hreflang, or where SEO titles are not optimized for the target keyword, for example. Without Botify I simply would not be able to accurately crawl the pages of the website I work on (tens of millions of pages). It makes identifying areas for improvement and tracking the impact of doing so an absolute doddle, and the team are excellent at going above and beyond to help out further! Botify is very expensive. The monthly fee was too high, even with the lowerst plan The software offers many of features, but does not document how to use them. You must rely on Botify customer support team, however good support is hard to come by. My account was assigned a customer service rep, which sounds good in theory, but they did not prove to be very helpful. The crawl bot is really very good; I used other tools of this style but the level of detail of the analysis of this tool (besides being constant) is very professional and complete. It is ideal for the positioning of longtail keywords. For the short time it's in the market I think they have a very promising future if they continue down this road.

Botify is amazing in what it offers. Pretty much any SEO-related technical metric is covered in the platform, and it also does content evaluation as well. The depth of the reporting is what sets it apart from platforms that offer general 'site auditing.' What I personally really like is the ability to do dynamic filtering on all URLs. I also like the fact that most reports are based on segments which you can build, so that the visualizations are more streamlined and easier to package up for separate business operating groups.

Very expensive product when using features like log analyzer and keyword research. Customer Support team needs better training, not as helpful as competitor support.

Botify is definitely not the easiest program to learn, and the learning curve for mastering the full breadth of its functionality is steep. This is not made any easier by the fact that their customer service is poor. We have a dedicated rep (we are a big company), and we are supposed to receive a monthly training session. However, the rep has failed to reach out and our last session was in June (it is now September). As for the software itself, I have no complaints except that it can be EXTREMELY slow and almost unusable at times.

Botify is used by the SEO team at our company for identifying issues & opportunities related to crawling & indexing our site. The main features we use are the site crawler for finding duplicate content issues and missing SEO copy, the log analyzer for checking how Google is crawling our site, and the alert panel for staying on top of new issues. The tool is very useful when large projects occur on the website including migrations, content updates, and more. It's also helpful for analyzing crawl budget issues, interlinking, link depth and more.

Botify offers a wide variety of functionality and reporting in its platform. However, this is somewhat nullified by the fact that poor customer service and technical support make it difficult for our team to use the tool to its fullest.
