    Kissmetrics has many qualities that have been positive for our organization, most notably secure web data analytics and tracking customers, content and social media submissions quickly from our desktops and mobiles. It is a straightforward installation tool; it has taken us a few minutes and allows us to enjoy excellent visualization and customization options. What I liked the most is that it provides safely and reliably a large amount of data and information that allows us to control better what we need to perform as analysts; we use it to make decisions based on data, and in my opinion, we are happy with the results we have obtained.     It's a tracking and analytics tool that has been well-liked within my organization; it allows us to understand how users interact with our products and services. I love the ability it has to track individual users throughout the journey, from first visit to conversion; this allows us to see how key metrics such as time-on-site and several visits evolve and take the necessary steps to improve the user experience; it also has a variety of valuable reports and visualizations to identify patterns and trends in user interaction with our site. Another great attraction of Kissmetrics is its integration with marketing and analytics tools; this is very useful for having a panoramic view of our marketing strategy and its results.     No easy way to extract data through a API, Support is slow, we have problems with the javascript snippet, it's expensive, there haven't any new feature in years, the metrics dashboard loads very slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    The contact, with Ryan in particular was a complete mess. The contracts were very deceiving and they did very little to understand where we were coming from or what we wanted. Not only a complete waste of money but some of their tactics bordered on scam behavior. Would never recommend this to anyone as there are several other companies who can do this with more honest and favorable terms. They clearly just wanted to charge money regardless of what their product did or did not do. It was an utter disgrace the way they charged us and continued to charge us despite us requesting a cancelling over and over again. Greedy and dishonest service.     Kissmetrics is a GREAT Google Analytics 360 alternative because of its UI, the way it tracks liking, buying and abandoning carts. The installation can take some time, but it is worth it in my opinion.

    This program is very user-friendly, very easy to grasp and understand the analytics. The reports come out simple and are useful. You can structure the software to track pretty much track anything you need.

    We looked at Hubspot, Mixpanel (a mobile analytics platform). We chose Kissmetrics because it's very well designed for SaaS applications like ours: Specifically an API -driven app. With Google Analytics, we can only track events that happen in the browser. We can't connect someone browsing to someone actually using the product. Kissmetrics had great APIs for feeding server side events back into the anaytics platform.
    The ability to tie advertising spend to revenue is awesome. The product has a very clean interface making it easy to get the data we want. Funnel analysis is also great. It's great to segment prospects into funnels and track them separately.

    Mixpanel. KISSmetrics has higher brand awareness than Mixpanel and I was certainly more familiar with it. However, I signed up for the free trial version of both KISSmetrics and Mixpanel with a view to comparing. Both vendors sent me technical instructions for set-up. I sent these documents to our technical lead and he came back and said that he intended to deploy them both, but that he had, in fact, already deployed KISSmetrics. I was pretty surprised that he had been able to get it up and running in under an hour. I immediately went in and took a look. My first response was that I loved the User Interface. I played around with it a bit, and based on that experience (and the fact that the price was right) decided that we would go with it. I never even really looked at Mixpanel.
    Kissmetrics has a fantastic dashboard where you can see all relevant metrics immediately after login. Kissmetrics was extremely easy to implement in our site and it works across different platforms. After the initial setup, managing and creating new events to track is super simple. You can monitor live usage. This feature allows you to monitor user interactions as they are happening and as events you are tracking are triggered. You can see exactly what users are doing real time, which is really a very cool feature. At the time, this kind of realtime monitoring was not possible with Google Analytics.

    KISSmetrics is used by marketing, sales and product development. When we first started using it, we got a lot of insights into how our users were using our product. Thanks to that we have a better understanding of our customers, and we were able to make some changes to important steps in the conversion funnel. It really improved (and keeps improving) our product. Besides product development, marketing can get a perfect view of where the converting users are coming from and our sales department can identify both people who have a high potential in sales, and people who got stuck or don't use the power features of our product.
    The more events you track and properties you send along, the more you can see how specific users use your product/service. The user based timeline gives you a perfect start point to get in touch with users, because you can see where they get stuck. Tracking your traffic sources and how they influence conversions is awesome. You can get a perfect view of how much a traffic source contributes to revenue. Funnel reports give you more insights into micro and macro conversion steps and give you actionable data to work with. Customer support!

    I started using Kissmetrics, cause I had data that I was looking for that wasn't available through Google Analytics. The initial implementation was ok, but than I realized that the data was not correct since the integration with other tools I used, such as Unbounce didn't work smoothly. I didn't have enough guidance to learn that, but only realized things in advance. Their support was ok, but it took them too much time to coordinate a talk with them to solve all issues, and there were always other issues I had to discover after the previous ones were solved.

    I am a daily Kissmetrics user, I start off my day checking my morning email to look for anything odd that might show up in the top 5 metrics that indicate product performance issues. Then I use the population feature to check out the most important cohorts of my users. I generally get around a dozen questions per day asking about feature use, or adoption rate, and I use Kissmetrics to pull those answers.
