ProWritingAid is incredibly feature rich. You can choose what kind of language (business, casual, academic, etc.) and the suggestions are usually extremely on point. The software "suggestions" often make the writing worse (if followed). Out of 10 "suggestions" maybe only 1 is a valid correction not already found by a built-in editor.

Since Friday, September 18.2020, I realized that all my docs were no longer accessible or corrupted. I contacted customer service and received a response after several e-mails and face book messages that this matter is being looked into, today after one week of trying to recover my docs, still no solution. I should mention that the ProWritingAid website went down around the same time. I am writing a book since July which was in completion and cannot access anything.

Overall: Sharing my two cents about ProWritingAid that I purchased a lifetime licence for: If you're reviewing texts about 300 - 400 words in length at maximum, you'll be happy with the tool. Otherwise, it's not worth the money. If you need a short-term solution, then by all means go for it but don't pay a buck for actually using the SW. I've been using the Word add-on for over three months now and if you want to use most of the tools on more than 800 words, the tool simply can't handle the 'load.' Usually, it breaks off after a minute or so and you can run the check again which normally doesn't help. You end up wasting a ton of your time and accomplish nothing at all. While the language advice and the correction improvements you get recommended are helpful, you're better off using Grammarly or another alternative if you're reviewing long chunks of text in one go and don't want to constantly copy-paste from Word to their interface and back which is a pain if you have to do that daily like myself.

Overall: As a researcher, I must routinely compose scientific articles and academic reports. I'm a Grammarly user for many years. I tried this tool because I can't afford the premium on Grammarly. What can I say about the tool is next: - less negative impact on performance while browsing. - not so good correction like in Grammarly. Even though it does offer a lot of features, it keeps erasing things that I write when I press "Enter" and there's no way to undo it so I have to re-write them from scratch. I don't know why this happens and frankly I no longer care.

ProWritingAid is a great site thats helped me with my writing and games. Id give it 5* but the chrome plugin sometimes doesnt work well and logs me out. Otherwise its a good tool and Id definitely recommend it to othere!
