One of the things I appreciated most about SpyFu was the wealth of data it provided. The platform offers detailed information on my competitors' keywords, ad copy, and backlinks, which gave me valuable insights into their digital marketing strategy. As a final note, when I cancelled SpyFu, I was given a retention offer to keep the service at half price for life. Just thorwing that out there. If you, for whatever reason, want to use this junk, make sure your at least not paying full price for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SpyFu brings only rough data and does not bring you with actionable actions or some directions. If you are ranking on wrong search terms it is up to you t discover it. You need to deeper analyze the results. So, Spyfu "seems" to deliver information that you have to really scrutinize. If you have questions their Chat system is useless. It is almost an automated system. Based on your question they send links that direct you to their FAQ pages. Unfortunately the expertise behind Chat is NULL. It is difficult to get straight answers. Lots of features that were promised in the demo video were outright lies. Link importing doesn't work, finding contacts doesn't work or hasn't worked yet for me.

I use SpyFu to do keyword and competitor research. I need to know the search volume of keywords and which keywords competitors are bidding on so that I may optimize my marketing strategies.
SpyFu shows keyword search volumes and related keywords which I struggle to find elsewhere. SpyFu shows details about any website's organic traffic.

We have used SpyFu for SEO and SEM research at 360i and STEAK Digital. For SEO we used it to determine and manage Client SEO expectations by using their "Estimated Value of Organic Traffic". Though I think the real benefit comes from their SEM tools. Seeing previous competitor Ad copy and keyword Ad history really helped our SEM department develop their campaigns.
