5% rolling reserve is NOT released after 90 days as the 2checkout website is suggesting, it is held back at payout and then held for another 90 days. In other words: you will hardly receive the final payment as soon as you switch to another payment provider. Instead, when you stop selling, they will automatically block your account and you cannot get out the money. We are currently waiting for 1000+ USD that we have earned legally but 2checkout is blocking payout. It's a ripoff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

To date, I have not received any response at all and the money has not been paid out to me. At this point, I would have to consider it very risky to use 2CO as a credit card payment processor because of their non-response and withholding money with no explanation. The company does not care about its clients. On April 27 2021, I learned from 3d parties that starting from April 29 2021, 2checkout stops supporting Mastercards. 2checkout did not send any notifications about the changes even to its vendors! All subscriptions that use the payment method will stop working and 2checkout did not find it necessary to inform its vendors and purchasers. My organization, Nerdynaut.com sells digital versions of books online. Avangate (2checkout) is the payment gateway service provider for our online store. Their fees are very reasonable and there is no monthly fee at all. Their Fraud detection process is very simple and the customer care by a dedicated officer makes the service more valuable. As a person who lives in Sri Lanka, I am unable to use many payment gateways and the only top-ranking payment gateway that supports our country is Avangate. Implementation of the service to woo commerce is very simple and secure.

I use 2Checkout to manage subscriptions for my clients and process payments. My software is used by hundreds of childcare centers across Canada and the United States and I charge my clients a monthly (or annual) subscription fee. After my clients choose their plan I send them over to a 2Checkout page where they can make payment. 2Checkout sends automated emails to my clients to remind them of upcoming expiration dates, or inform them of failed payments. In my system, I use the 2Checkout API to confirm my client's current subscription status including which product (subscription) they've purchased and I generate links that my clients can use to upgrade their product, update their contact info or change their payment method.

I have been using 2Checkout for just over 5 years. My experience up to the beginning of November of this year was okay, I would give them either 3 or maybe 4 stars. Then on [sensitive content hidden] our regular payout bank transfer never arrived at our bank. We have asked for proof and the SWIFT document for the transfer. Neither have been provided. We have asked for the sending bank contact information, they refuse to provide it. We ask our receiving bank to see what they could do and they ask for the SWIFT document so they could trace. Now I choose to give them 1 star because zero is not an option. We are a small business and a missing payment of several customer invoice and purchase payments have not arrived after 48 days and no information that is needed is being provided. So that is my experience,

Really easy to setup, it works perfectly with shopify, where our store was located. It also accepts payments form paypal but we decided to use 2Checkout only for credit and debit card. Also we fell in love with the fact that the amount of currencies that they manage was huge compared to other platforms, the withdrawal of the money to our accounts was really smooth most of the time.

I'd say my experience is more bitter than sweet. If it wasn't for the savings I am making, I would never choose them over Paypal, who care far better about their customers.
