What I like best about FastSpring is how they have simplified the complexity of ecommerce for businesses who only want to know their own business and want to sell online. They have knowledgeable and helpful account managers and support staff and an outstanding team of designers/developers based on the quality and ease of use of the FastSpring platform. The sellers' support ticket is currently very poor. I have observed the quality of their support deteriorate over the years: tickets take longer (days) to hear a response, and even when you do, the Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One month ago, a customer tried to purchase my course and was billed twice. FastSpring took one week to reply and say they are working on it. One month later, the payments still haven't been refunded and they ignore my messages. This makes me look bad as a seller and is the reason why i ultimately decided to leave FastSpring. We have been using FastSpring for over 6 years now and the first thing that comes to mind is that it is a solid product, that we never have issues with. It just works. I can't say it is complicated in the initial setup. All the necessary testing options are available and they are easy to use. Overall great product with many options to set up your store and integrate with other platforms.

FastSpring solves our problem to accept electronic payments in our in-app purchases. We integrated the FastSpring Checkout process with our internal Licensing system: such an integration has been extremely easy thanks to the already built-in connectors of FastSpring towards the major Licensing platforms. Moreover, the ability to accept multiple for of e-payment other than the credit card (e.g. Amazon, PayPal, etc.) made FastSpring an excellent choice for us.
Integration with other licensing platforms. Multiple forms of electronic payment accepted. Easy, effective and nice UI for the final user.

FastSpring is no longer used by my company. I liked the fact that FastSpring only requires a percentage cut of sales and not an additional service fee, but as of 2023 that has now changed. They now required a $150 "Risk Assement Fee." And if you fail to pay it, your store will be shut down and all pending payments will be held for "90 days."
Cover All Bases - FastSpring not only complies with the GDPR, but also VAT taxes, ALL Currencies and Languages, Multiple Payment Options, 5TB of file storage per product (allowing for almost an unlimited file storage limit storewide), custom storefront and custom email fulfillments and so much more!

I own and run a small publishing business, White Knight Press, which publishes guide books for advanced compact cameras. I publish the books in paperback and ebook versions and sell them through various resellers. I use FastSpring to carry out the sales of ebook versions of the books directly from my website. FastSpring provides an ordering page that my site links to for each book title. Customers go to the FastSpring ordering page, and FastSpring takes care of all ordering and fulfillment details, including processing of payments through credit cards and other methods, payment of any applicable taxes, fraud prevention, providing the ebook files to the purchaser, and technical support in the event a problem arises with the ordering process.
FastSpring makes the process of selling ebooks from my website quite painless and virtually invisible for me. I let FastSpring handle all details of the transactions, and I rarely have to get involved directly with the customers who purchase the books. FastSpring is very responsive with respect to technical and customer support. I have had a few occasions when a customer was having difficulty completing a purchase transaction, and FastSpring has always been responsive and helpful in resolving such problems quickly and efficiently. FastSpring offers a flexible set of options for customizing ordering pages that can be included in my website. There are many options, such as promotional coupons, discounts, multiple file downloads, and others.

I have been making use of FastSpring for two years now. I will soon launch my second product through them as well. I actually did have another product that I sold through them, however, the product did not meet with their compliance team and I had to remove the second product. This is actually where they impressed me the most... Rather than simply banning my product, which would have killed my site instantly, they told me through their support channel that the product does comply with their acceptable use policies and gave me a week to move it to another commerce provider. At the time I decided to get a merchant account so I can not get into the same situation with another provider and asked for an extension. They were very understanding and extremely helpful in the matter. Their support staff is top notch. It took me more than a month to move to my own merchant account and I was able to do this transparently to my site visitors. They pay out on time (sometimes they actually pay a day or 2 ahead of time), provide extensive reports and to date I have not had a single issue with them. I have been selling online for more than 15 years and to date this is the the best eCommerce platform I have ever used, not to mention trustworthy. If they approve your product, you can be assured that you will have a partner that is trusted by buyers and once integrated with your site, you never have to worry about them as they just work.
