MOZ is great for the basic SEO requirements like tracking your rankings, monitor technical issues or keyword research. You get weekly ranking updates, usually at monday. You can check the currents SERPs in detail, looking at your ranking history and discover interesting opportunities, like all the different SERP Features for your tracked keywords (featured snippets, image packs, reviews, videos, knowledge cards, related questions etc). For the keyword research the keyword explorer is doing a great job. You get a lot of keyword suggestions, which you can filter by relevance or search volume as well. One big benefit is the moz difficulty score. The higher this score, the harder it is to rank for the keywords. Over time you get a pretty good feeling for which difficulties it makes sense to write content, which ones will need some more "offpage efforts" or for which keywords it makes just no sense to create content at all, because the competition is just too high. Moz Analytics are great for tracking SEO campaign performance and comparing it to your closest competitors. The keyword research tools are invaluable to finding the best keywords with the highest search volumes for maximum impact. The onpage grader works really well to help SEOs understand how pages should be optimized for higher search visibility in search results. All of my campaigns have increased rankings and search volumes due to the SEO tools in Moz Pro. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Let's see... No telephone number to call customer support. Too expensive. Way, way too expensive. In fact, I was paying $300 per month and for that price, I want to talk to a human if something breaks. You can't find their address or telephone number, no matter how good a Googler you are. I really wish I could add events to keyword tracking to ensure I don't forget the events and that I can overlay my actions with the results. I really wish the API was not so expensive. Considering we only need a couple elements - it seems like an overkill for cost. The domain authority number seems to be bouncing around a lot for us and it's across the board so I would love more visibility in what it changing to impact that score. I also wish that score would somehow integrate with google search console and look at the domains we disavow to show a true representation of our backlink profile. Majestic has the same problem. We use Moz as a key resource for our SEO strategy. The tools in Moz Pro allow us to keep track of duplicate content, broken links, and areas of opportunity in SEO.
Wide variety of tools that can solve/answer almost any SEO problem. Very user friendly. Anyone can use the tools with little to no training.

We use Moz to keep track of everything related to our website, our clients websites, and to keep track of where our brand mentions are across the web. Our leadership team is the department that uses Moz. I personally use Moz to help me manage my keyword rankings, links, and overall website structure for our website and our client's website.
They give you great detail on your website and tell you where there are problems. They help you track your brand mentions across the internet. Help you get social insights They really do a great job with customer service

It was a personal project where we used MOZ data to analyze links between different sites in various affiliate networks.
The API documentation was misleading. It was difficult to get through to their support people to actually answer my questions. At the end I was not able to get enough data out of their API and chose to use Majestic SEO data instead.

We use Moz as a supplement to other search tools because we don't feel like it provides a 'complete' tool set and some of the more recent 'Moz Analytics' features seems to have technological issues that send consistent error messages, etc. We use the Open Site Explorer tool regularly to analyze our client and competitor sites. We feel like their inbound link metrics are the best feature and that many others are lagging behind, so we use other tools that we feel do a better job. Moz is also good for its blog content and educational material. The tools to use are just not as good as some others.
Every time I access the new Moz Analytics it tells me my client connection with Google Analytics is broken. This message appears even after I fix it and I've gotten to the point where I don't even try anymore. It seems like their database is often the reason for fluctuation in their data and sometimes this can confuse clients when they see fluctuations. Sometimes you get the feeling that Moz is more about monetization of its new products than providing a strong user experience. They make it very difficult to access legacy tools that functioned better than some of the new ones.

We set up projects in Moz to track SEO progress for a few clients of ours. It's really used by me, as I'm the person overseeing the SEO work. It allows me to track some specific rankings, get some insight into on-site issues, and research other websites and keyword opportunities for our continued SEO efforts.
I wish you could put in a website and return what that site ranks for, like SEMrush. But I don't think you can. The interface has so many options, it's hard to navigate or remember where you have to go for certain things. It's difficult to switch between rank tracking vs keyword discovery--they're in two different places that don't merge well.

For over a year I have run side-by-side comparisons of both SEM and Moz. I have run reports on my clients' websites, used the platform for new-business purposes, and have used Moz extensively for keyword research. On all these fronts Moz excelled. I would happily recommend it to any CMO/Marketing Director-level person who's trying to build a strategy. But if you're a small agency trying to figure out which subscription to keep, it might be SEM Rush only for the ability to drill down deeper. I personally didn't enjoy using SEM Rush compared to Moz. Moz gave me information with a minimal of annoyance. Moz is built for the big picture. Between SEM Rush and Moz? Moz will make you feel like a genious.

I had a good experience with them. Nevertheless, I wouldn't pay for it. Price is very similar to Ahrefs/SemRush and I would rather invest in those. I would consider it if the tool would be 30%-40% cheaper.

With the new Google Search Console features, Moz became obsolete. I would still give it 5 stars because the software works well if you still prefer using it.
