What I like best about DeepL is that, with its Widows app, it gives me the ability to edit translations on the go. Thus, DeepL gives me a quite decent baseline translation, which I can change word-by-word and render the text compatible with any style I like. So, ultimately, it is me who does the translation but not some dull translation AI, making DeepL a wonderful tool for translators. It has helped me gain significant speed. I love DeepL. Their customer support is basically non-existent. They overcharged me for translation credits by a margin of 20x, and when I opened the ticket, they closed it immediately without offering an actual solution. They just gave me a template response that they will forward to the developers to improve their bugs in the fire. Is this supposed to be a serious company??? Also, how come they don't support Hindi? The quality of the translations, the ease of use, the ability to simply drag and drop PDF, Word and PPTs and get a good translation very quickly is a time-saver and productivity boost. The shortcuts for translating specific words quickly and the screen capture translation functions are brilliant. Being able to specify the style of language (formal or informal) as well as being able to set up a glossary for industry specific terms or local jargon and expressions really helps.

When DeepL first came out, it used the built-in Squirrel installer and was a very good app. Now they have switched to 0Install.net which is known to be malware! Shame on you DeepL! Now my machine has been entirely taken over by this CRAPWARE!

I use this tool for translating websites, emails, chatting on Internet groups, and everything related to my work facing U.S. realities.Taking courses and reading a lot of material takes quite a bit of time and if you are not of the native language it takes even more, so knowing English less than perfect I prefer to save a lot of time with DeepL translations. This same text was written in Italian and copy-pasted into English.I even translate documents and PDFs, there are no limits.

Limits of the free version: 5MB and 5000 words. No problems with the paid version Because it is the only software that translates documents while preserving the images and design of the original, it sometimes makes errors in output with aesthetically complex layouts

Overall, DeepL Pro is a very important element of my profession. Without it, and with rates and expectations being what they are, it would be difficult to work efficiently enough, at least some of the time. Though the product is intended for general use, it really is the gold standard for translators - at least in the languages I work with - in particular due to the easy integration with various CAT tools. For all it offers, the price is more than worth it.

DeepL is CRAPWARE! Do NOT install! DeepL used to be a great app. Then they switched from Squirrel installer to 0Install.net. This *WILL* infect your entire PC! It will take over your entire installer software library, so if you now when try to install anything (like MS Teams) all it will do is install DeepL over and over again. You will be unable to rid yourself of this crapware without completely reinstalling your OS. DO NOT INSTALL! You have been warned.

This site is one of the best for translating texts and documents, combined with the convolutional neural network, which greatly improves the service over competitors (in some languages)! Its verification is fast and excellent, and does not require the creation of an account (for most resources).

A fantastic machine translator. English Dutch translations are nearly flawless. They're actually way better than those of Google Translate. English French less so, so I'd definitely check it out if you have the chance. _[Edited by donaldaberdeen, November 30]_

Sorry. Not better than Google translate. Doesn't seem to know many languages. Tamil and Sinhala are noticeably missing.
