The framework can be adjusted to address hierarchical issues.I like the fact that it can work with existing information and have the possibility to provide us with reports. The inferface is very practical even for beginners.

Cube limitations on number of entities. Dataview limitations on number of rows. Lack of time out on infinite sessions. Unable to run procedures on the same database when an infinite session is running. Datareaders have no variable parameter filtering capability. Performing grouping and max/min functions on cubes is difficult.

GVA uses BOARD to provide external clients with the ability to review their property portfolios. Users can review lease renewals, geographic locations, and financial summaries. Being programming language free, data models can be created very quickly and the design process can be very quick to visualize and implement. With powerful writeback and security features, it is possible to create user settings which persist after each session, meaning that such settings do not need to be reset on each successive login session. Also, this same ability allows for users to carry out forecast analysis by entering their own values to test without changing the global settings. The power of BOARD is now really starting to show itself and I'm very excited for what we will be building with it in the coming months.
Fast data modeling prototyping with data fast track. Writeback allows for developers to create workflows and amazing security control which are quite a task for other BI software packages and usually require far more technical involvement and skill. Geographic charting is fantastic. Being able to see the metrics and KPIs of properties in clusters on a map of the UK really allows the user to build a story.

Board helps to make better judgments regarding negotiations and issues that arose within our organization. It covers all aspects, including management control and finance. In addition, the software provides simple solutions without the need for external assistance - it is a comprehensive system. The software is also notable for its predictive analysis, benchmarking, trend indicators, and profitability analysis capabilities.
Database design is hard and needs more material to explain how to design [a] database step by step. The online help should be updated with the latest versions (including full web) as well as an enhancement of the e-learning platform.

We are still implementing Board for our company - we intend to use it for all reporting, planning, and forecasting for the company which is done manually via Excel today.
We use a fiscal calendar and we continue to struggle to make that work seamlessly in Board. We do not have strong IT support to launch this, which has proven a challenge with implementation as the tool is not intuitive to set up as a non-IT person.

The biggest challenge to effectively using and developing for the Board platform is that you don't always know what you don't know. While that is true of most products, I can definitively say that I would have deployed the Board platform quite differently then I actually did had I the knowledge I do now then. In that vain, you are best to fully learn the product before fully diving in.
