NOP is not user-friendly. On the backside of the website all of the landing pages have to be coded, adding product color swatches is not a simple task, and overall there are no pre-loaded design elements. Very old school way of doing web design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Excellent modular architecture, which makes it very easy to customize for different kinds of needs. It is open source, free and is constantly updated to keep it up to the latest technologies. The latest version in ASP.NET Core runs in Windows and Linux with excellent performance (Google Page Speed of 100/100). It has a very active community which helps to enhance the solution, develop extensions and themes and helps other users. It is full of features including Multi-Store, Multi-Vendor, and Multi-Warehouse.

We are currently using nopCommerce for its cart and coupon functionality. It is a very robust and supported platform that saved us from trying to reinvent the wheel. We have some basic needs to offer products and services for sale with the ability to offer specials and coupons. Overall: I found nopCommerce during my search through google and other ECommerce websites that guide, compare and review. I went in journey by reading more and more about it then download the source code which is free by default.
