Very Easy to provision ; Just some few clicks you can provision the service ; after provisioning you can make analytics data , chart , graphical presentation , Dashboard analysis report , Multiple narrative chart can easily deploy ; The most beautiful part it is , you can create the analysis report by using any source of data , like your Cloud database, from excel sheet , or any other third party DB source data can be deploy ; in the analysis field you will have to just Drag and Drop the data and the analysis will automatically create ; you can make then data model and will find a presentation layer model where you will drag the data to the visualization section and it will give you the graphical presentation as per your chosen parameter . you can filter the data with this analysis option . This Oracle autonomous analytics Leverage cloud-based visualization, predictive analytics, and machine learning to uncover hidden business insights. Sometime the response time is slow because of network interference , as it is cloud so the large size of DB can take a long time to create a data model ; in Autonomous analytics only support from Cloud database (paas service) but you can import data from your desktop , can not connect your on premises database , in that case you will have use desktop version. This is a beautiful products with easy implementations ; any Non technical user can build their report by using this platform ; this is very easy to deploy , just drag and drop and make your desire graphical view , I highly recommended to the users to try this product , you can try first with 30 day free trail , cloud.oracle.com/tryit We have connect our cloud database to the autonomous analytics and make Sales data model, purchase Module table to another data model and we have created the Sales dashboard and analysis report ; Our management easily visualize in which Division our product sale rate is high and which division is low , also management can visualize in which division the collection rate is perfect and in region the Due rate is alarming ; also in purchase analysis they are monitoring in which category of raw materials import rate and ratio is high in which category of materials purchase rate is low , in which month how much cost will impact on particular purchase item , etc.

What interests me the most about this product is the report generation and publishing search engine, as well as the built automation and artificial intelligence in Oracle Cloud that indicate potential and provide updates. I used to utilize this organization for a long time, and it helped us improve our studies in addition to providing excellent technical assistance that is among the finest in the market, and it is pretty lovely and has been converted in our company in a reasonably efficient manner. Procedures and workflows become significantly more flexible for us, yielding fairly near results for complete data analysis, increased productivity, and driving decision-making toward more accurate procedures that provide quantifiable and good effects.Predictive analytics helps us to discover previously lost information as well as conduct complete analysis utilizing contemporary data visualization, with astonishing results. The analytics main page must replace the out-of-date conventional home interface. Enterprise dashboards are still required, and no updates have been made in years. End-user data sets are subject to minimal management by system administrators. Unless the data set's owner has authorized the system administrator access to the data set and connection. It takes only a few clicks to get started. We can put the service in place. Following that, we will be able to quickly deploy analytics data, charts, graphical presentations, dashboard analysis reports, and a variety of narrative charts. The greatest aspect is that we can build the analysis report from any source of information, such as our Cloud database, an excel sheet, or any other third-party DB source data; simply click and drag the data into the analysis field, and the evaluation will be made instantly.

I liked oracle's cloud platforms performace for this Business Inteligence purpose inorder to handle all business transaction process, PO, PR, Shipment tracking etc. It helped a lot in doing analysis with the business transaction to maintain a proper tracking of all transations and It provides reports as well to show up the analysis. There is nothing to dislike on this oracle cloud platform in my point of view. I felt nothing on performace lag on analysis and data base side as well. It includes poerfect DB configuration with Indexes to store and fetch the transational data for entire ERP system what we have configured on this cloud platform. Compared with previous systems what every IT industry used to provide to business to do the ERP system and analysis this Oracle cloud has secured DB config and its quit not easy to find out the relationship between transational tables but Once you get to know the relationship you can do a lot of analysis with the transational data to enhance the business growth. Used to handle business transations and its analysis to maintain the business on the growth levels and it helps to monitor the transation by providing the analysis in the form of reports and those reports as well editable based on the new requirement whenever business comes up with.

I do like the feature of being able to add multiple items to a report from the home page. It is also nice to get emails that reports have been reviewed and approved. Where can I start? There seem to be so many steps to get things done. Entering information on each item takes so long to load, and I can't go from one item to the next, every time I save something it takes my back to the original home page, so I have to navigate back to the report, then to the next item. On reports with many items it is very time consuming because there is no indication from the report menu which items have been completed. There is also no way to align invoice numbers with the charges reflected on the report - when items transfer from banking they have no identifiers to let me know which item goes to which invoice. It is extremely frustrating. I have not realized any benefits at this point, it only seems to slow down the proficiency I had established prior to using Oracle Analytics Cloud. This product really seems to create more problems.

I like that it's pretty easy to use for the most part, there are some good features. There are definitely some challenges in with some of the reporting, I don't like the fact that it has limits on 60,000 rows, especially in cases where that is definitely not the case. The gauge graph doesn't seem to work quite right most of the time. Changing the backup storage user password every 60 days. I don't feel that error codes are always very helpful. Sev 1 tickets are a lot harder to get resolved than they should be. Consider everything that is in the same price range and make sure you get what's necessary for your business. We get some general sales data, some financials and production metrics through OAC. The benefits are that you can drill through and the dynamic column sorting is helpful.

Not much. I can log in. The performance is okay as long as you have the expectation that you can't have real time data and you have to bring everything to the OAC database (essbase, etc) Perfomormance. There is a bug for totals in reports. The OBIEE user interface is not great. Getting started takes for ever. Connecting to on prem databases in a hybrid envirnment is hard and it does not perform well. If a user logs in through a url that brings them to OBIEE, then logs out because of the odd bug that brings the reports down and then logs right back in they are are brough to DV and have to learn how to navigate. FInd something else. We solved dashboard metric reporting or our cap ex team. WE got the reporting but super painful and a horrible user experience.

The major advantage of Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service comes in when a user has an Oracle centric development environment. As mentioned earlier, Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service is built keeping OBIEE and Cloud in mind. This is purely to provide Cloud advantages to their traditional on-premise Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition customers. As mentioned earlier, this tool provides 2 different hybrid solutions and one full cloud solution. Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service does not have a path for other tools to migrate. Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service has a Visual Analyzer which is a game changer. This provides all the Visualizations that all other tools combined can provide.
Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service is well suited for customers who want to move to start their first Business Intelligence Reporting Tool (over the cloud). Also, this is a good option for customers who use Traditional on-premise OBIEE and don't have a use case for iBots and BI Publisher. And, for customers who don't want to upgrade often. Oracle BICS will push the latest updates from backend. BICS is a perfect solution for small companies that don't have a BI Administrator to do patching and updates.
Oracle BICS is a first debut of Oracle BI in cloud. BICS is designed to provide lot of flexibility. BICS provides three solutions - 1. Completely deploy all BI services (data model, Catalog and DB) in Cloud using BICS. 2. Deploy Catalog in Cloud. RPD and DB reside on-premise (Hybrid Solution) 3. Deploy Data Model and Catalog in Cloud. DB stays on-premise (Hybrid Solution). No other cloud offers this flexibility. BICS design is centered on BIEE and advantages of Cloud. Oracle BICS provides industry standard security. For on-premise applications, SSL has to be implemented manually but now, it is part of the BICS package. We get SSL encrypted. When implementing BICS Hybrid Solution with DB on-premise, Oracle BICS provides Public Key to deploy in on-premise. BICS, having the private key, is the only authorized tool to access this database and run queries. No spoofing possible. Oracle BICS provides flexibility to Developers. If the data model is simple, they can do the development over the BICS cloud. If the data model is complex and need advance features of RPD, they can do development on-premise using RPD tool and can deploy this RPD to BICS. BICS will then convert that RPD to data model. Oracle BICS is a Cloud Solution. It is very important for many organizations on the location of the data center. It should be, at least, in the same region as the Organization is. This is important for performance as well. Oracle BICS has multiple locations across the world and especially, multiple locations with in the USA. These locations grow based on demand.
In an implementation where developers do their work on-premise RPD and deploy it to BICS, Oracle BICS will convert that RPD to data model before deployment. Developers can take a snapshot of that data model and download that data model. But, can't convert / extract that data model to RPD. This is one limitation that I would like to see some improvement. Oracle BICS has no BI Publisher integration. BI Publisher is used by many customers and is one of the reasons that they are delaying BICS migration. Oracle BICS lacks iBots (Scheduler). This is one of the most used feature in traditional OBIEE, where we can schedule reports to run and email to us / set of users. Lack of this feature is a major drawback of BICS. Oracle BICS lacks the forward migration path, as of today. If we want to migrate to OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud), there is no way to extract RPD out of data model. We may have to develop RPD from scratch, if we used BICS solution to develop data model. Oracle is planning to release a fix for this in the future.

Better: Easy integration with different systems (internal, such as SAP; or external, such as data coming from tables from your vendors). Many companies use it and it's a good tool to learn. In my case, I learned at P&G and when I moved to Whirlpool I already learned how to use it! And I use it very often in my role. Worse: Well, if I need to do anything beyond a table, line or bar chart, I export the data and use a different tool.
Well suited: Perfect for organizations where they have multiple databases and they have to damp everything in a single tool. This is helpful not only to joint databases together (shipments with POS data for example) but also for employees to learn only ONE tool to get all the data they from different sources. Less appropriate: If you need to go deep into analyzing the data beyond a table. The data visualization properties are pretty limited compared to Tableau/Power BI/Spotfire.
1: Data Integration: I love that at Whirlpool we have several different databases in the same place and we can extract and combine data easily. 2: Connection with multiple systems: A lot of companies use Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service, so it means that they are seeing a lot of different use cases and improving the tool constantly. 3: Data extraction: Extracting data is much easier than writing a SQL code. So many different types of users can take advantage of that.
1: User-friendliness: As I said, you don't need to write a SQL code to extract data, but I've seen some other tools (the previous Oracle Cloud system for example) that were easier than this new one. 2: Speed: The tool is not slow, but when multiple users are trying to query information in the same database, it might get pretty slow. It's very common for people to run queries during the night since it's faster at that period once no one is using the tool 3: Data visualization: The main output is basically a table, if you want to get fancy graphs or other types of output, you might want to export it to Tableau/Power BI/Spotfire.

Oracle Analytics Cloud Service definitely becomes choice where people are looking both robust enterprise wide reporting tool and data visualization together. Tableau provides only data visualization features compared to flexibility of modeling based option of Oracle Analytics Cloud Service. Oracle Analytics Cloud Service gives you the ability to blend data both present in the rpd/data model with external data sources which totally stands out as different compared to other reporting tools in the market.
Oracle Analytics Cloud is best suited where an organization is planning to move to Oracle Cloud Service with most of its application present in the enterprise architecture. This gives flexibility to have data load into Oracle Cloud data warehouse and makes it easy to report in Oracle Analytics Cloud. Oracle Analytics Cloud also imparts benefits by adding Essbase in it, where organization also wants to do some multi-dimensional analytics.
Oracle Cloud Analytics Service is now just a 3 step process to complete the setup on the cloud and it becomes available for your analytics/bi reports purpose. Oracle Analytics Cloud gives really great performance even for low capacity as 2 core cpu with 15gb memory. Oracle Analytics Cloud also provides flexibility to have ESSBASE set-up with few simple steps. Oracle Analytics Cloud Services comes with regular classic obiee and data visualization features, this gives lots of variety of graphical chart view/report views.
It does not have more options for emailing the reports as compared with what on-premise provides. Once you upload the rpd metadata/data model there is no easy option to retrieve the uploaded rpd/data model from Oracle Analytics Cloud. GUI for Oracle Analytics Cloud application still looks same as on-premise obiee, it would be good if they do some changes on look and feel for Oracle Analytics Cloud application.

One major benefit is that it provides a complete set of capabilities to perform collaborative analytics for enterprises and workgroups. With this platform, you obtain service management capabilities such as automated life cycle management and scaling and patching. It provides tools to deliver and share data insights without the need to consolidate numerous versions of spreadsheets. The interface allows app developers to embed and customize rich analytic experiences in the app flow. It provides faster predictions and enables you to get appropriate reporting.
It provides the most extensive cloud analytics in a unified platform including powerful inline data prep, advanced analytics, self-service visualization, self-learning analytic, and enterprise reporting that delivers dynamic insights. It provides you a collaborative, complete platform that brings the power of analytics and data to every decision and process in the cloud, desktop, data center, and on premise. It allows you to create reports of every kind including sales reports, consumer churn reports, etc.
The initial setup takes much time. Sometimes, the gauge graph does not operate appropriately. It needs to add more graphs. It has some limitations in the canvas view regarding selecting colors for chart objects. It needs to make the backup and recovery process more intuitive. Also, it does not contain many visualization features in comparison to other tools such as looker and tableau. It slows down when numerous users try to query info in the same database. Its integration with other tools is quite tough.

I like the efficiency template of the software. In my role, I use it for manning & salary budgeting and forecasting. It's easy like 1-2-3. The system allows you to input the number of salary and after you click safe button, it will save and sum up with the annual salary. Besides, you can input all other employee benefits and it works the same way for calculation.
As it is on cloud system, it sometimes workload when there are a lot of users use it at the same time and the auto saving is mulfunction.

Frankly, Oracle Analytics is expensive when you compare it with alternatives, there are other tools that you can pay half price to have analytics features.
