Magento is the best option if you ask for my suggestion to start an e-commerce website. It has all in built features like customer, orders, product, cart, payment and tax and shipping management. Features list is too long. Only once the technical person is required to setup on the server after that non technical persons can also use the Magento admin panel and create stunning and revenue generating websites easily Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Adobe commerce or Magento is on the top list of eCommerce friends. I like the fast speed, all inbuilt eCommerce functions starting from adding a product to delivery of a product to end customer, everything is well managed. Customer, order, cart, payments, shipping every function is already built, we just need to do installation and can run successful ebusiness in few days only. The scalability and flexibility of Adobe Commerce (formerly known as Magento Commerce) are its most beneficial features. It offers a configurable framework for building distinctive and individualised online stores and serves businesses of all sizes. The benefits of adopting Adobe Commerce include its rich feature set, easy interaction with other Adobe products, sophisticated analytics and reporting tools, and a wide range of design and branding options. In order to help customers fully utilise the platform, it also provides thorough documentation, training materials, and a welcoming community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Only usable spending $$$$$ on support hours. Better off integrating Magento with a real BI platform like Power BI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Horrible administration system, especially in terms of managing the non-store content (CMS) aspects of your site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use Magento as a tool to reach our direct customers. We are able to integrate it with XIP and SAP. With Magento we are able to be more flexible.
User friendly interface. Very easy to start using Magento right out of the box. Lots of useful free and paid extensions. Lots of free themes to differentiate your business. Scalability. Magento can be used for a store of 10 products and 10,000 products.

I have used Magento in many different capacities. From a point of full utilization of the shopping cart, payment processing, inventory, configurations of product, and anything else it does, to as little as implementing it solely for the use of the coupon engine (simply because it was all there and I did not want to recreate the wheel). I will be using it in conjunction with Wordpress and other quick-to-market CMS systems that are already in place.
Overall site and underlying structural organization. SEO is native. Couponing engine rocks!

We use Magento for our e-commerce website. The whole website is developed in Magento and the payments for our products are processed through it. We used it as it was described as a scalable solution for our future growth and a very solid platform for our needs and those of our customers.
Very hard to learn and use, not intuitive Quite clunky and slow

We use Magento for 3 eCommerce sites on a single Magento platform. We sell parts and accessories for 3 brands. Currently, there are 3 users inside the tool and the business is managing mostly front-end changes. We go to IT for almost all changes outside of adding products, changing product information, running promotions via coupon codes and changing banners. We chose Magento for its flexibility and add-ons.

Our organization uses Magento Commerce Cloud to manage our e-commerce accounts and transactions. Magento allows for the creation and management of subscription-based accounts and products, and it allows our users to make various updates to accounts/subscriptions through a web browser interface, as well as manage payment settings for each subscription record.

Overall: The platform is not plug and play the way Magento presents it to be. You are really only buying an outlined platform of how your site will approximately look. Most of the real work and heavy lifting still needs to be done in the programming. Not what expensive templates are supposed to deliver. Unless you can hire an in house experienced Magento developer stay away. You will either be taken advantage of and pay way too much for your site's development or be stuck with a foreign company impossible to communicate effectively. Almost all of the well know e-commerce platforms are easier to maneuver and have considerable affordable US based skilled help.

Overall: My team used Magento to build our B2B ecommerce platform, and that helped us to get seed funding. It could have been more stressful to build the ecommerce website from scratch, but Magento eased off the stress appreciably.
