Like most organizations, we had several old, long-term contract, NDAs, proposals etc. stored on shared, protected network. This was unstructured data. Each time we wanted to know when a contract was ending, we had to open the contract. This led to us creating a spreadsheet. We thought there had to be a better way for us to get alerts when contracts are expiring and to store amendments to contracts in one spot. We reviewed several software and chose ContractZen. We migrated all of our contracts into ContractZen within a couple hours and are getting alerts as we desired. It's a cloud-based product, so no installation is needed. ContractZen is being used by Finance, IT and Legal staff right now and we are very pleased with it. ContractZen does full text search on PDFs and metadata we type in ContractZen, which makes searching for certain words a breeze.
Right features for SMB. Affordable. Easy to use. Low maintenance as it is cloud-based.

We use ContractZen to manage the contracts with our clients. This ranges from the history of the accounts, contract expiration and renewals as well as the value of each contract. Prior to using ContractZen, this was all done in an Excel spreadsheet.
I would like one view of entire client history. It would be nice to put the client information in once and then simply add on contract extensions in the same folder.

I found ContractZen extremely useful and handy in managing all documentation in relation to my property investment activities. Bids and agreements are always one click away and easy to distribute between parties. ContractZen has both a mobile and desktop version, this is very important from a user experience point of view.
ContractZen is almost as good as heavy duty doc management system, it can be mistaken to be one. Admin interface [not intuitive] - needs some practice.

No contract lifecycle management. Governance may not be adequate for large organizations. Sign-in with SSO or without SSO can be improved; it's a bit confusing for new users.

Overall: ContractZen was a joy since the beginning. The barrier to entry was very low; I could just create an account and test out the features. It's intuitive. It took less than 20 minutes to become productive. I could generate value immediately. Doing single sign on was very easy. Account manager was exceptionally easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the product. ContractZen didn't even appear to compare themselves with anyone. They were clear about the value they offered and asked me to just try it out if I had interest. Loading contracts was super easy. ContractZen was able to OCR information and make PDFs and well as metadata searchable. In a matter of days we had moved many contracts to ContractZen.

Overall: ContractZen is a great SME/team contract management SaaS tool with no upfront installation and a very very fast ROI. The system supports typical alerts, comes with a reasonable data model and is easy to teach to the team. The eSigning support is very helpful for those, who work in a field, where you originate a lot of contracts: sales, legal etc.
