The manner in which Boardable streamlines communication, document sharing, meeting preparation and execution from one portal. Our board members can connect directly with each other and not have to utlize staff resources or cloud based document serveces to engage in their work as leadserhip volunteers. They can work with each other directly and focus on their board roles which frees up staff to focus on operational priorities. A central repository for documents and discussions eliminates the need for multiple emails and the subsequent hunt to find them in your inbox. The refresh of the dashboards and pages has made the end user experience relatively intuitive and the Boardable Academy training videos support are a great support when intuition is not enough. I highly recommend this tool for nonprofit leaders and their boards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our small non-profit and board of directors used another board management application for a number of years with a great deal of frustration. We finally made the switch to boardable about 18 months ago and have been extremely pleased. Setting up all of our board members was a simple process and learning most of the features was pretty intuitive. We have used it consistently for board and committee meetings on at least a monthly basis and find the agenda development, minutes tracking, and especially the polling feature to be very helpful. We also use Boardable for board document management and have been equally pleased with the convenience and ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to run a meeting online as well as F2F is also a bonus, especially with the switch to online that happened during COVID. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Outlook calendar integration is seriously lacking. Once meetings are scheduled they are difficult to change. There is a bug in the system that results in incorrect meeting times with the change to Daylight Savings. The tools to take minutes are unreliable - sometimes the minutes just disappear - and the options to format the minutes are really minimal and what is provided doesn't look good or provide all the nexessary meeting info (e.g. meeting attendees). Customer service. Seems like when i need an answer i have to wait. It would be helpful to have a person you can call. I had major issues over the holiday break and was messaging folks on new years day (it was a hassle and yes helpful BUT my questions took days to be cleared up) which i thought was unacceptable. ALso we were kicked not for non payment which I was never notified about JUST closed the account and that for our university council was unacceptable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Boardable does not let me see who I sent things to. Or my history of communication. Very unhelpful as an administrator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Boardable has been an amazing company with whom we've collaborated. Their employees have been incredibly helpful in getting the product set up and will be a part of getting our board members acclimated to the software.

Prior to signing up with Boardable, all Board-related documentation was being disseminated by email, creating a real security risk with the sensitive information contained within. Boardable provides us with a very cost-effective solution to eliminating the security concern while also providing us with the most important organizational tools required to manage board proceedings.

We use Boardable as an important board management tool to schedule meetings, organize documents, start discussions, and maintain an up-to-date people directory. Boardable offers a ‘one-stop shop’ for all of the information we need and helps make board members more effective in their fiduciary roles for the Foundation. The Boardable tool has offered five key results for us: 1) time savings; 2) streamlined agenda building; 3) more accountability; 4) access anywhere; and 5) better virtual and in-person meetings.
Streamlined agenda building: Instead of spending time sending emails and attachments, I can easily build and share an Agenda with documents appended to specific agenda items. This keeps everyone organized and informed. Accountability: I can see when board members log into the platform and keep track of who has read which content for increased transparency and accountability. Real-time edits and updates: As things change or need to be added to an agenda, I can easily make edits and share these changes with board members. I can send them an email on the platform to remind them of new documents or information related to the board meeting.

We use it for our complete volunteer platform/portal. We use a significant portion of the product to help with: Meetings - the product allows us to poll for best dates and times, schedule meetings, build agendas with board packets, and take minutes, and the best part is easily integrated with Zoom. The poll function allows us to conduct easy and secure voting for our board members. The document section allows us to have a central location for all corporate documents the Board needs to have access to.

Meeting scheduling can be wonky with polling for a date A lot of the most valuable features are at a higher price point beyond the basic package. Opportunity to improve the minutes builder

Boardable has coordinated the restructuring of our Board and made it easier for our Board to meet and become more engaged during the pandemic. We now see the value in using a management platform to keep us organized and productive. I highly recommend to non-profit Boards to consider using Boardable if their goal is to expand the engagement and effectiveness of their Board of Directors.
Spotlight bandwidth--our organization has a large board (26 members) and we encountered video issues at large meetings. In all fairness to Boardable, this was prior to the latest Spotlight upgrade as well as some of the issues had to do with users not following recommendations and/or not having a strong internet connection. You cannot deposit completed minutes directly into the document center. As it stands, once a meeting's minutes are published the minutes stay with the meeting then are stored on the "Past" meeting page. It would be nice to have the option to save the minutes directly to the document center for that particular board mtg or committee meeting. Sending notice of published meeting minutes to people who were not included in the original meeting. It would be ideal to allow all board members to receive published meeting notes to review who may not be associated with that group.

Support is currently offered through a ticketing system, so it does sometimes require an understanding that there may be a delay in getting a response. Security features in place are adequate, but I would like to see some form of higher security compliance, such as SOC II or ISO27001.

Overall: As a consultant who works with several nonprofits at a time, I really needed a way to stop the email madness. Too many of the boards I work with struggle with being responsive to each other and I am more and more convinced that the problem is more related to email than to people being too busy or over committed. Once it is built out, Boardable has everything a person needs to fulfill their board obligations in one location. It is well-organized and attractive to look at, allowing the board member to focus on their responsibility itself, rather than on just all the time generating and answering email. I convinced two of my boards to try it and it took quite a bit of effort to get everyone past their resistance and using the system, but with leadership from those who were eager to learn, we eventually got it working well. Another thing we had to do was to project the Boardable screen on the wall in the boardroom so others could follow along that way. Two thumbs up for the customer service team. They were delightful in chats, phone calls and trainings. Very helpful.

Overall: Prior to using Boardable, our organization had disparate file storage systems and multiple channels of communication. This negatively impacted our ability to operate efficiently, and collect and analyze data. Additionally, every year we have changes on our Board of Directors (people phasing in and out). This meant information was sometimes lost, and we were consistently re-inventing the wheel. Boardable has allowed us to create sustainability for our organization, be more organized and efficient, collaborate more efficiently, and (most importantly) have a greater impact in our community.
