GoodData is great if you have: - Data coming from multiple sources - Large volume of data - Complex reporting needs You can create your own custom metrics, reports, and dashboards. They have great drill-down options that enable you to look deeper into data. There are also many visualization options, and automated reporting is also something we use.

GoodData is definitely a great platform but there are certain limitations of the software as well. I think that there are just very limited options for securely transferring data between our companys system and our clients system.

We also set upp our own custom visuals and create smart narratives that give insights on the visuals and data in human readable form which can be plugged into any dashboard.

We used GoodData to distribute reports, a dashboard and insights across whole organisation. It's well prepared for self-service and explanatory BI, features which people sadly almost never use by themselves.
Price and speed for bigger data sets. It's not above your database, you have to load data there.
