BenchmarkONE provides us the liberty to create any type of automation just with a few clicks. Its interface allows us to segment all our contacts properly so that we can organize our client interactions & improve our deliverables. We can also map our customer journey entirely so that we recognize what would be required to promote customer satisfaction & build business solutions. Integration with other tools also is comfortable & we feel satisfied with its automation features, landing pages and email campaigns for meeting our marketing goals. Nothing in particular to dislike about BenchmarkONE's support for our retail organization. We are impressed with the deep insights and forecast offered based on customer preferences, products and services which need more attention. We also feel good about its personalizing feature for sale in a single pane of glass, which effectively simplifies list creation for all our targeted marketing conversations. We had large requirements to manage our customers through a robust CRM tool and BenchmarkONE serves the requirements. Its email builder is helpful as it's customizable & we can also create templates that are frequently used for our business. All its utilities are streamlined properly so we never felt any difficulties in flipping back and forth between tons of email sequences on a daily basis. We can also define metrics for sending SMS or push notifications via its automation functionalities. We also seamlessly integrate BenchmarkOne with Zapier which is our external SMS system for delivering notifications. For marketing automation, we make use of its trigger events functionality so that we manage all prospects of our customers without missing anything crucial for our sales.

It's unusual that doing things in business turns out better than you expected. For my team at HealthEconomics.Com, this was the result of our first year experience with Hatchbuck! The business need we had was how to be better at marketing and sales (defined as: more targeted, better follow-up, more success). The solution was Hatchbuck. The result was 13% improvement in sales in our first year of Hatchbuck. Now, every dollar of that 13% growth is due to Hatchbuck - that just wouldn't be fair to my awesome sales people :-) - but it has indeed helped us target, follow-up more successfully, and have more success with our hundreds of customers. And probably most importantly, my sales team and I all feel in better control of our business. The whole group at Hatchbuck is on our side to be successful. We are definitely renewing for next year. The cost of the software service is manageable for our small business and it's easy to learn. I'd like a better interface when adding tags without having to go to the Systems settings. I'd like a cheat sheet that defines a tag when you mouse over it (like a "comment" field or a note in Microsoft Word/Excel. I highly recommend this product to small businesses. Needed better segmenting of customers (where they are in the sales funnel, what their interest is, what their pain point is); needed automatic follow-up; needed a way to achieve drip marketing; needed email and website integration of customer pathways; needed it to be affordable for a small business. We achieved drip marketing, segmenting, follow-up, and 13% sales growth.

My favourite thing about Hatchbuck is the support. I have gone through the initial onboarding, the videos, phone support, email support, and now chat support. I've always gotten an immediate response! The other thing I love about Hatch is its simplicity. It's very easy to navigate and was easy to train my team to use it. They have also taken our feedback and implemented new changes, which have been very helpful for our growing team. While Hatch is a great CRM, I'd like to see a few usability and features be added eventually. I don't like that I have to click 3-4 times to send an email out (I understand why its like this but it would be great to have an option to just send) - I'd like better views (filters) and be able to save my filter views with whatever columns I choose (It doesn't stick so I have to change it every time) - I'd like to be able to view better reporting - and I have a few other ideas if someone would like contact me to go over. Great for marketing automation - great support. Anytime you have a question or need help, you will receive that ASAP! :) The CRM is good for basic needs, organizing, there are a lot of customizations available to meet your needs. We were just looking for a more affordable, easy to use CRM, which Hatch has become that for us. The benefits we have are that it's simple to use and we can now reconfigure how we organize our sales team given the tools within Hatch. We find it easy to onboard new team members and easily organize leads among the team.

Using tags and automations are simple. Maybe too simple for some The main question should be what don't I dislike? For a "CRM & Email Marketing" tool, Hatchbuck doesn't even come close to having the basics. * Menus and UIs are sometimes incredibly hard to see because of how light EVERYTHING is (even for those with 20/20 vision) * Doesn't have reoccurring tasks for sales reps (our CRM from 1998 had that!) * Doesn't let you select a primary contact without creating a custom field yourself (again, 1998 CRM had that) * Can't even add a contact on the mobile site - and having a mobile site for our outsides sales reps was the #1 REASON we went with Hatchbuck * Reports are incredibly lackluster; some let you actually click into the report to see what contacts are on a campaign, who clicked, etc, but not all. It's a complete guessing game on what reports are ACTUALLY useful * Can't sort by user tasks from the contact or company screen * Very very VERY contact and B2C focused. We can do purchases, but can't customize anything in that space. Absolute dealbreaker for us as a B2B service company * Incredibly buggy email and form builders. Just earlier my form refused to delete a field I tried to get rid of. Then it refused to edit a field I wanted to keep and deleted it! * Forms aren't mobile-friendly, especially if embedding into a webpage * Doesn't let you handle email preferences without designing it yourself or using a different problem. The last one with email preferences was the last straw for me. You can't handle opt-downs, so if anything hits Unsubscribe it blanket unsubs them from EVERYTHING and you can never email them again. No option if they want to unsubscribe from all emails or only select lists. Every email marketing platform I've ever used has had that functionality for at LEAST the past 10 years. And if you want to create a form or use a system that CAN handle opt-downs and proper best practice opt-ins/opt-outs? Sucks, can't change the unsubscribe link in any of your Hatchbuck emails. The CRM side is incredibly underpowered and almost useless to our team, and the email marketing is "meh" at best. I don't know how Hatchbuck could ever consider more advanced drip-emails (which doesn't exist for them by the way - if you want a time delay between campaigns starting, for example, you have to manually calculate when you want the email to send. No inserting "wait 3 days." No real paths to say "if this then this" like drip emails are supposed to work. I don't ever see Hatchbuck thinking about adding features like dynamic content and advanced segmentation - which are available in similar tools for the same or slightly LESS of a price. Problem we attempted to solve was to give our sales team a better, more modern CRM and email marketing system that they can take on the road with them and not have to login to a clunky old license-based system. Hatchbuck somehow gave us a downgrade from our old system from 1998. Absolutely no benefits. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to do so as it will only help us improve Hatchbuck. If you're willing, I would love to jump on a call to discuss your experience. Original: Hatchbuck has all of the features you need. You can create tasks, campaigns, send emails, track results, filter people, and include deals for the salesforce, etc. We have multiple staff that utilize different parts of Hatchbuck for both marketing and sales operations. I really like how you can adjust contact score based on their actions. It really helps identify and qualify leads. Edited: I LIKE NOTHING Original: The User Interface is outdated and horrible. It's difficult to navigate, and not intuitive at all. All of the features you need exist, just in strange places. However, I have called their customer support and they were able to quickly point me in the right direction which I really appreciate. If they redesigned the UI I'd be a big fan. In other design terms, I really dislike the email templates. I currently use MailChimp to make templates and import the HTML into Hatchbuck. The drag and drop editor on their emails is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Edited: GUESS WHAT. Hatchbuck tried to update their horrible UI and made the situation extremely worse. They sent the same email from us multiple times and got us marked as spam. I understand things happen, but when you try to call or contact them, they hide behind voicemail!!! They say "oh we are soooo busy because of our redesign that we can't answer the phone." One of the previous best things about them was the ability to call and talk to a person and get support. They are deep in the hole with this and know it. So instead of accepting responsibility and apologizing - like we had to to more than 8,000 people - they are hiding like cowards. UNACCEPTABLE. Go elsewhere. There are a ton of CRMs you have choices in the marketplace. Original: We are much better at tracking potential clients and interacting with them. We have realized benefits from connecting with individuals after meetings by sending sales emails and tracking those interactions. Hatchbuck has helped us with B2B sales and connecting with clients. It also helps multiple staff work independently without duplicating efforts, as all actions are easily tracked in Hatchbuck. Edited: Now we are solving the problem of being blacklisted as spam and unable to email with any of our potential leads.

I enjoy using Hatchbuck because it is fairly user friendly but also has a ton of helpful features and capabilities. You can categorize contacts in many different ways, which is great for organizational purposes. Hatchbuck also keeps detailed statistics on every email you send out with it, and has a fantastic email builder with templates and coding options. The new features with Pop-Ups and Landing pages are fantastic, and offer even more options for our company to expand our reach and contact base. Sometimes the amount of features available is overwhelming and confusing, but there are several videos and articles that help remedy this issue. There are a few aspects to the software that still need some work. In the email builder, is is hard to achieve some specific results, and occasionally, image quality is depleted. The new Pop-Ups and Landing pages feature is very helpful and unique, but could use more options for customization. We had wanted to put our logo in a Pop-Up, but it was very difficult to get the right, placement and size for the image. The spam filters for Hatchbuck are also a little lack luster. We get a lot of spam contacts and it is very hard to get genuine people to sign up for things like newsletters, Hatchbuck is great for small businesses looking for a software to help keep up with contacts, create emails, and collect statistics! Hatchbuck makes it infinitely easier to keep track of customers and maintain contact with potential leads.

I have been using hatchbuck for a while now, and although their customer support is good enough, the product itself lacks several features and needs many improvements in order to be able to compete with some of the established alternatives like Hubspot.

The company was using a different program before I joined the company, and from what I gathered, it was not as easy to use, it was hard to export all contacts if/when we needed. I was not part of the decision to evaluate other vendors, or to select Hatchbuck, so unfortunately I don't have a lot to input on this matter.
Many of the features on Hatchbuck are really very intuitive, easy to learn and great to work with. If a company is looking to have a new user own the task of managing contacts with Hatchbuck, I would say this is a great program for them. There is no experience needed to be able to learn how to utilize the system, and as I mentioned, the customer service team is fantastic in assisting with advising key features, how to use some great tools built into the program, etc.
Their customer service is above and beyond. I started using Hatchbuck when I started working here, and had no previous experience with the platform or program. The customer service team is phenomenal in replying to emails quickly, and offering to do a live web support session to go over any issues or to demonstrate additional features. The Tags and Tag Rules system on Hatchbuck are extremely easy to set up, use and track. It has really helped us literally see what our contacts are most interested in. Easy to read, understand and interpret data generated and presented by the software. It's very easy to see specific KPI we are interested in knowing.
One challenge I have is when scheduling and email to go out. With 12 different groups to send it to, I wish there was a quick and easy way to select my email template, and then select my 12 groups and just stagger when the emails are sent. Instead, I have to go through the entire process of scheduling the email to go out 12 separate times. It only takes 10-15 minutes to schedule the emails, but it would be great if it took 30 seconds. Some of the features could be more intuitive. For example, I was trying to duplicate an email template and I couldn't find a way to do that. There are 3 screens - the list of templates, the edit more, and the save page. I looked all over the list page, thinking if I selected one, I should have the ability to duplicate it from there. Then I made changes, thinking the system should offer me to "Save As". I finally found a duplicate option, in the 2nd position, which just didn't seem like the "right" place for it. Again - this might be something that can be done and I just haven't discovered how yet - but it would be nice to be able to export data from the email statistics to look at more in depth.

I probably reviewed seven or eight CRMs, most notably Salesforce and a host of others. Some didn't seem intuitive to use, some had poor customer service, and some had constraints that were a deal breaker. Salesforce, for example has a daily e-mail limit of 250 ... I send out as many as 1,000 on certain days. Some CRMs require purchasing apps and add-ons to increase their functionality. Hatchbuck is all inclusive and just about ready to use right "out of the box."
It is very easy and intuitive to use and I think is best suited to a smaller company. Although it suits my needs quite, quite well, I'm not sure how its functionality would translate into a larger company with more complex operations. A company may want to ask about Hatchbuck's reporting function, which may not be robust enough for some.
The online forms capability has been amazing. I'm able to connect my landing page to Hatchbuck and a prospect's information is automatically transferred into a record, eliminating data input time, once they click submit. I use the campaigns feature quite a bit. In fact, I'm running 12 now and will be developing a few more. Notifications and Tasks. Notifications have been important to me by letting me know when prospects hit a certain threshold or level of interest. Once notified, I can follow up with. Tasks enable me to connect with certain people in meaningful ways to enable we keep their top of mind awareness. It took me a few months but I also use the Deals feature. I established quite a few stages for each deal and I'm able to track how many "hot" prospects I have and where they are in the sales funnel. I didn't have this capability before I started using Hatchbuck.
They may be a little behind the curve when it comes to some of the advanced features, such as integrating various calendars and e-mail clients. I would like to see them more integrated with social media platforms, such as keeping track of social media activity and adding more platforms that they track within a record. The onboarding process was a bit bumpy and took much longer than expected.

We really liked the unique mix of a CRM, an email marketing tool, and a sales funnel tool we found with Hatchbuck. Additionally, the software was easy enough to learn so that multiple team members were able to quickly get up and running using the system. Other tools we evaluated either had too heavy of a sales focus, were too clunky, or were lacking some flexibility within their automation or email options that were important to us.
Hatchbuck is great for small to mid size businesses that are really looking to keep track of their progress with their sales leads as well as their existing customers, as well as tracking the activity their customers are taking from their communications, and automate their sales and marketing funnel as much as possible. We are a SaaS company (software as a service), with sales that range from teeny tiny to very big fish so it's been an easy tool to work with to make sure we are communicating with clients based on their size and needs.
We love that actions the customer takes, like opening an email, clicking a link, etc. adds up to a 'score' for them. This helps us gauge the level of interest from a customer in one glance. Their drag and drop email composer is easy to use and flexible enough to customize as we wish to align with our branding. Automated campaigns are easy to setup and we love that we can add notifications to alert us when a customer takes a certain action (fills out a form, clicks a link, etc.) We also heavily use their API to sync data and start campaigns, it's been a great way to automate as much as we can.
They've recently updated their reporting metrics, so we'd love to see that trend continue and have the ability to create really customized reports. Similarly, they also recently updated their email composers and template library, but the more design options the better!

I use Hubspot sales concurrently with Hatchbuck as it offers capabilities not included with Hatchbuck: email tracking not from the system, integration with Facebook advertising, website popups. Hatchbuck was selected as an entry-level tool focusing on automation and CRM. Though it is not as robust as the full HubSpot system, it is substantially less expensive for a startup.
This is a good entry into marketing automation for those who don't want to be overwhelmed at the start, nor sunk by high prices. It was a combination of the price, onboarding, and basic capabilities that led to our selection. I expect we'll "grow out of it" in another year or so. MUCH more appropriate for B2B. Most of my challenges are because my business is B2C. There is a new emphasis on "companies" in the CRM piece that actually becomes a nuisance when your only customers are individuals.
Emails - Hatchbuck has recently enhanced their email template collection. That said, most of ours use plain text. It's easy to design your own, though. Support - whenever I have had an issue or question, the responsiveness has been exceptional. OnBoarding - I had a 1:1 consultant to meet with me over my first several months who was delightful and capable, helping me learn the system.
Campaign design could be strengthened with the use of visual mapping as many other marketing automation offers. They've only just introduced a mobile solution, and it is not very practicable for managing; rather it seems designed for sales reps on the move. The reliance on tags can become quite "clunky" over time. Their CRM is wonderfully integrated but not as strong as standalone products.
