HRIS and Payroll are 2 distinct platforms that do not sync or play together very well. Emphasizing in my above comment that the technology SHOULD be able to address all of your HRIS & Payroll needs. Unfortunately, there are some very fundamental flaws that have been built into the technology that have made it inflexible. For example: i) employer-paid medical benefits cannot be based on a % of total premiums in the onboarding module, making open enrollment a manual process; ii) employer-paid insurance coverage can only be based on salary, not total comp - also making it a manual process for open enrollment and any time that comp changes for certain employees. We've had numerous issues with feeds for HSA and FSA accounts, as well as with the feeds to Namely's preferred workers' comp insurance provider. There are several other shortcomings, which in aggregate, make it seem like the technology was built by a team that had very limited experience in HRIS & Payroll. On the payroll side, we've had several issues with tax withholdings and filings for certain jurisdictions. It appears as though their Tax Dept is not very knowledgeable about certain jurisdictions (and we do operate in 1 of the largest cities in the country). Service response times are horrific. You can also talk to 3 different people regarding the same issue and get 3 different answers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I can't emphasize how dissapointed our company was with Namely. We transitioned to Namely a year ago and are vetting new vendors once again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Everything about the HR and Payroll setup and processing: this is literally the worst payroll software you could choose. You cannot add your own earnings, you cannot adjust any setups, you cannot import any data without Namely setting that up for you first, you cannot override, you have to process with a minimum of 4 days prior to deposit unless you want to wire them the money to do it faster. Very simple to use, simple to teach employees how to use, simple to teach managers how to performance manage with. Good integration with Okta providing a really slick and polished onboarding and offboarding loop.

Namely is easy to navigate, can easily be accessed anywhere, and in my experience, has a small amount of website issues. It's a hub you utilize daily when employed with a company, and a platform you can still access after you've switched jobs. It was very helpful when filing 2022 taxes even though my new company doesn't utilize Namely.

Namely is being used throughout our company. It allows employees to have access to what they need through the mobile app and helps with engagement and communication across the company. The company news feed is also a great way for employees to recognize their peers who are going above and beyond.
Customization: You can customize profile feeds, workflows, and forms to fit your company's specific needs. Easy to use: Very user friendly, not difficult for the administrators to figure out. Intuitive.

Namely is being used as our HRIS. It is easy to find everything and log information for employees, like salary, birthday, start date, etc. It helps us store information electronically rather than manually. Namely is used organization wide, and was really easy to implement. There were a few kinks with the payroll aspect, but our representative from Namely helped us smooth those out quickly.

Namely is being used company wide for the Core HRIS, payroll and benefits management. Prior to using Namely, we had ZERO automation in the HR part of our business. Now that we've implemented the tool, so many of the things that I used to handle manually are now flowing automatically through the system and I don't even have to think about them. We also had no way of exposing to our employees things as simple as their benefits elections and PTO balances. I get so fewer questions now, because they can get it all themselves.

We currently are using Namely as our HRIS and Payroll platform. It is being used across the whole business. Namely is not a platform I would recommend to my network of HR professionals.
Better client servicing. Meeting the needs of the business by way of addressing concerns. We would like to see tickets answered within a 24 to 48 hour time frame. Service reps who have the answer and know how to address issues and concerns.

We use it as our payroll, HRIS, and timekeeping platform throughout the entire company. To be honest it has caused more business problems than it's solved.
The systems don't talk to each other. The support level is based on each rep and some communicate better than others. We recently found out that a rep has to manually update our PTO accrual amounts in Namely Time, as the system isn't robust enough to capture multiple levels of accrual rates. There is limited support for companies in the West Coast. You have to wait until the next day to get service if something happens after 2 p.m.

[Namely is used] as an HRIS [Human Resource Information System], timekeeping and payroll platform by the HR team and by every employee for social / company communications.
No centralized data platform which creates a ton of disparate data processes and errors Does not sufficiently support the most basic employee lifecycle processes and pay practices. Customer support is challenging since there seems to be a huge disconnect with the Namely teams. They don't seem to interact and work together. Namely is constantly "improving" their platforms but does not always communicate the changes to customers. We're often surprised by changes in functionality. Inadequate reporting for very common HR and payroll reports.

Overall: Namely does a great job with tax notices, so we never have to worry about anything getting lost in the shuffle.Employees can access a great HRIS system. Regular use of the system by staff members is evidence of its value. Having all of the company's paperwork and personnel files in one place is helpful.

Overall: In particular, it is user-friendly, centralizes all of our data, and streamlines our operations. All of the tools have improved our team management and allowed us to devote more time to strategic rather than administrative tasks, such as onboarding new recruits and monitoring vacation time.

Overall: We are already exploring moving off the platform, just two years after joining. That should tell you how bad the experience has been. We have had to add other tools to utilize functionality that is native in Namely, but simply doesn't work (like org charts). We are paying more for less.
