It's intuitive for HR users to navigate, customize, and build business rules within the system. We appreciate being able to set up enhanced features on our own without relying on our UKG contacts to help with our changes. I joined my company nine months ago, and UKG Pro works well for our business requirements. Past implementations have gone smoothly, including the compensation module and benefits module. The most challenging piece of the system for me is reporting and Business Intelligence. That is one piece of the system that feels very unintuitive and requires the HR user to remember in-depth details about queries, field names, and more. This part of UKG Pro feels antiquated and is designed more for data analysts than for more standard HR users I'm familiar with. We are currently struggling through a timekeeping implementation and are unhappy with the support we've received. The go-live date has been pushed out twice, and we are still not confident that the third date will stick. Our assigned resource was uncommunicative, late to meetings, and unknowledgeable. I do want to recognize that we experienced none of these issues in our initial implementations, and eventually, UKG Pro helped us get a new resource assigned to the project. Still, UKG Pro should have addressed this sooner for us. Companies with international employees and locations may want to investigate this solution to ensure they receive the support they need for those locations. I ran into some complications in a previous role with a previous employer. The most recent example of UKG Pro helping us solve problems is the transition from paper employee change forms to system workflows. It saves HR an incredible amount of time to rely on the system to collect appropriate approvals and document the changes. Another significant benefit was the implementation of the compensation module in 2021. This moved our annual increase process into the HR system and eliminated hours of spreadsheet work and version control nightmares. Hi Hannah, thank you so much for the review! We are glad to hear that going paperless helped streamline processes at your company. Also, thank you for sharing your honest feedback with us. We truly appreciate it!

I like having HR data, recruiting/onboarding, payroll, timekeeping, benefits, performance management, and tax filing all with one provider, even though there are multiple modules. I like having many options for configuration even though there's a lot for system administrators to learn about and make decisions on. Especially since the merger of Ultimate Software and Kronos, there are so many versions or iterations of similar things (such as timekeeping solutions) and the names are the same or similar. Sometimes it seems that I have to explain what solution I'm using to the customer support team multiple times and get passed around from person to person before being able to resolve an issue. Also, since everything is so customized, it can be difficult to find other customers using the software in similar ways and compare best practices. We've been very happy with UKG onboarding and compliance with state and local tax documents. Not only are we seeing the correct forms sent to each candidate automatically based on address and work location, but this information then flows into UKG Pro Core. Thank you so much for your honest feedback of UKG Pro. Our team appreciates it! If you have any other feedback you'd like to share, please reach out to us at feedback@ukg.com.

I like that it is easy for employees to use I do not like that we were sold and that we would get all the updates as a customer. But that is not true. We do get updates, but there are new platforms, and we are not on those and our platform is not getting updated. What we specifically liked about then UltiPro, was the fact that we would keep getting updated programming and would not be left behind. We are left behind. Our time-keeping system is old and not getting updates. If I try and figure it out for myself I can't, or I can't get anyone who can help me. The HRIS and Core are the same. no I would not. There are better products and better customer service companies to help people with their HR and Payroll needs I do not feel the benefits. I have to scream to get help. We have asked multiple times to get help and some one-on-one time to review items and ask questions and can't. Hi Kelleah, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback and are sorry to hear that UKG Pro is not meeting your expectations. We would love to connect with you to find ways we can better support you. Please contact us at feedback@ukg.com so that we can learn a little more to suggest the best next step. Look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you!

I like the look of UltiPro and how it presents a customized solution using company colors and logos. I like that our employees can initiate time off requests, address updates, tax withholdings, benefit enrollments as well as manage their time punches. I dislike that that the platform is a "self managed" payroll. We did not realize that would mean managing a work flow beyond entering payroll data. We now have to verify that a data file leaves UltiPro, goes to the bank and then the bank disburses the ACH deposits. I dislike that the "Payment Services" (aka Taxes) is an outsourced function, Our account is set up to pay taxes monthly, but taxes are being disbursed quarterly and are late. I dislike that I was sold a "Recruiting and Onboarding" module, but it has not been available for utilization. To UltiPro's credit, they have "credited" back the invoicing for this miss. Nonetheless, it has not offset the continuation of the separate platform that I have had to extend (twice) at four times the cost plus the additional labor that has had to remain in effect to continue the manual entries that were to be removed with the functionality sold. I dislike that the Training module is an outside company that has been plugged into UltiPro (aka Schoox). The "direct feed" from the core UltiPro into the Training module is one way versus two way. Names go in but they don't go out (i.e. New Hires and Terminations) I dislike the Performance module as it is also a plug in module that is clunky, counter intuitive and has been very challenging to utilize. I dislike the timeline to obtain benefit carrier EDI feeds. The most recent comment from an UltiPro resource assigned to the project was "oops, my bad." UltiPro offers many great and customizable solutions. Their payroll support is second to none. Unfortunately, the 90 day integration period - which prolonged into a 120-day integration period, has created more challenges than it has solved for us. If you have a team of subject matter experts that can devote their time to an extensive integration process and data cleanup, then UltiPro can be a great tool for you. The reporting capabilities of this platform are extensive and helpful. The end user experience for the Core module (payroll, time keeping, PTO, address updates, tax updates, etc.) are positive. It's been the administrative end that has increased from following up with UltiPro through their ticketing system to make sure that the tasks are getting done that has increased the work for my small team. Again, if you have the bandwidth, it is a great system. It has been more administratively than we anticipated. We were able to solve employee self-service and transparency with UltiPro. The reporting capabilities are fantastic. The benefits realized from UltiPro has been the consolidation of time, PTO and payroll into one platform. Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We're happy to hear you enjoy our self-service capabilities. I do see you have some concerns. I'd love to learn more about these in order to improve your experience. As a backgrounder, I spent 6 years at Microsoft working as a product manager, so I'm quite technically savvy. I can usually figure out new technologies and in fact am usually the one to encourage others to use new solutions, or am consulted to help them figure something out. I recently started using Ultipro as a user at a large company. I am a manager and so have several employees for whom I have to approve time off, etc. I must say that Ultipro is the worst software I've used in years. There is nothing that I like about Ultipro. Seeing all of the positive reviews on this site is actually puzzling. I'm wondering how legit they are. Or maybe they are not from users just administrators... I'm not sure. Ultipro is the worst software I've used in years. Nothing is intuitive. Every time I'm forced to approve someone's PTO, or post my hours, I have to hunt once again to figure out how to do it. Usually, I just abandon the task I'm trying to do out of frustration. Did Ultipro not do any usability on this app? Things that should be really easy are not. Here is an example: I get an email which says that I have to approve a request for time off from an employee. Shouldn't there just be a button in the email that says "Approve" that takes me right to the screen? There isn't. I am taken to a general login then have to hunt for where to approve a PTO request. After ten minutes of searching, I've given up. I still haven't figured this out and its like the 3rd or 4th time I've done this. Instead I'll wait for our HR rep to email me with a reminder to do this. Don't even consider using Ultipro. It's impossible to use and will only frustrate your employees. No benefits. Only frustration. Our HR team has received only negative feedback about this product. Ultipro has become a bit of a joke at our company given the number of dissatisfied users. Because of the difficulty in using Ultipro, people have stopped using it. As a result, our HR team has been forced to send out reminders to do things and has to include detailed instructions any time we are asked to do something in Ultipro. Update: Hi Chris Weve researched the feedback you posted, it sounds like your organization is not taking advantage of newer, streamlined PTO processing. Weve tried to contact you a few times in an effort to improve your PTO processing experience but have not received a response. Please let us know if you would like assistance. Thank you. Posted July 15, 2015 01:00 PM CDT: Hi Chris - I am very sorry for your experience. We will reach out to your team this week to discuss your feedback. Just to address a few of your comments, the Ultimate Software User Experience team has explored one of the most common types of user interactions PTO requests and approvals. Due to the high usage of this event in UltiPro, this feature is highlighted in our Smart Dashboard experience as well as the UltiPro Mobile experience. To make the approval process even easier for approvers, we highlight the To Do items in both the Smart Dashboard, UltiPro Mobile Dashboard, and the Inbox with a visual cue indicator. We look forward to improving your experience.

While the negatives of UKG far outweigh the positives, I will be honest that there are a few beneficial things. You can process off-cycle payrolls outside of your normal pay periods and not be charged an extra fee. This is great if you have a terminated employee that you need to get paid out right away, or if someone has missed some of their hours on their paycheck. The UKG portal is very clunky and confusing compared to a lot of other providers, such as ADP Workforce Now. The user interface reminds me of IBM platforms circa 1990. The payroll interface is almost terrifying. When you are processing a payroll, there is literally no screen/icon/shortcut that shows you what you are about to process for payroll. Instead you need to exit the payroll function altogether and then run reports, then go back in and approve payroll. I always feel like I have no idea what I am paying out when I hit that submit button. Employees always seem to have issues running into using the self-service features, which typically ends with them not using them at all and then contacting our HR team to take care of their requests (such as direct deposit, PTO requests, benefit elections, etc). There are two different areas to run reports, depending on what you are trying to do. One is under the "Reports" function, and the other is under "Business Intelligence". That is a perfect example of the portal is so confusing. Why would you have reporting under two different areas? The absolute worst thing about UKG is their service. We are currently working on the implentation of a Learning Management System that pairs with UKG. UKG charged us $4,000 for the implementation, which has now taken over 6 months for them to complete and is still not done. I am continiously pushing them to get any type of update on the project, and rarely get answers. I will personaly never consider UKG as an HRIS system for my organization ever again, and will never recommend them. I plan on switching providers as soon as our contract is up. Having used HRIS systems before, there isn't a whole lot of problems that UKG is solving for us. All of the solutions we use in UKG seem to be very standard that you can get with any HRIS. Hi Derek, We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Our customers are partners for life and we take your feedback very seriously. You support team let me know they have been in contact with you about your service request. Please email us at feedback@ukg.com if you would like to share any additional insights. Thank you!

There are a lot of other app and software that does the job for timekeeping and payroll. DO NOT CONSIDER UKG Pro. I don't have any positive word to say on this app. A simple timesheet requires you to download UKG Pro and UKG Dimensions. 2 apps when other software can do it in one! The fields are very complicated and difficult to use even for a millennial and tech savvy like me!

We use UltiPro core for HR and Payroll. All full time employees use self service to review personnel data, job and review history and submit PTO requests. We use the powerful Cognos usiness Intelligence tool to push reports through email to executives, managers and frontline users. When we first implemented the product in 2004 the seamless integration with Payroll was major selling factor. The product forced and helped foster a very positive work interface between our HR and Payroll groups.
What our company loves about UltiPro is it's open construction - any field I see I can report on. That is powerful, but comes with a pretty steep learning curve. The product may not be the best fit for a company used to a more service-oriented model (meaning, you call support to add deduction codes or write your reports). Ultimate will do all of this for you, of course, but its power is in its openness to the front-end user.
The Business Intelligence reporting through Cognos is second to none. Any field I see I can pull into a report and analyze. UltiPro has an AMAZING user group community. It's something I bring up anytime a prospective client contacts me. I get most of my answers (and shared report templates) from other users around the country Ultimate Software is very forward facing. Sometimes it's frustrating when it feels like a product gets rolled out sooner than the company is ready to support it, but I still appreciate that the company is on the cutting edge of HR technology and is always looking for the very latest tools to make my job easier.
It can be difficult to connect with a live support person. We are assigned a Named Service Representative, which sounds good on paper, but when I have a burning question with a deadline, it can be torture to play phone tag with this rep. By the time I call back, they've moved on to the next ticket in their queue. Luckily, the user group community is so strong I can usually get the answers I need.

    ADP, Paychex.
UltiPro is the best HRIS system I have worked with and managed. User friendly, good customer service, always on the cusp of the newest technology, listens to customer feedback, and works with partners and not just clients. I find that most of the complaints that I read are from customers who are not owning their data. This is a not a magic system but it works when you put the effort into training and making it work.
Step by Step Payroll. Importing of Data - customer specific data into our user defined fields, mass updates of our pay increases, import for our monthly off cycle payrolls. Report Writing \ Auto delivered reports. Customer Service - never have an issue getting a hold of someone, web based case submittal that is very easy to use and tracks case information. Several modules that are configurable to customer needs. Very intuitive. Even our less than computer savvy employees in the field do not have any problems with the self service piece of the system.
Not enough User Defined Fields and the ones that are available do not have enough Max Characters for our needs. Does not keep up with the Internet Explorer Updates; they eventually keep up but our company in always ahead of the game on technology and our system administrators have to wait on rolling out updates until UltiPro is compatible. I have had releases that have caused problems with our customer set up. The problem is always quickly rectified but is something that I have to keep an eye on every after every release. The password requirements are not my favorite - The fact that it has to be 'between' 8 to 11 characters is annoying. More than 8 is fine but under 11 is difficult.

Ultipro is used internally for payroll processing, HR transactions, performance management, time keeping, reporting, and other internal uses. It is also used as an employee portal for employees to make changes to their personal info, update tax forms, keep track of time sheets and make time off requests.
Sometimes it take a little creativity to fully utilize Ultipro to its fullest extent. For example, we are a University that must keep track of which current courses faculty are credentialed to teach and have the ability to recall this information at any time, as needed. There is no real place for this built in to Ultipro, however, there are plenty of opportunities within the system that can be utilized for this purpose. Our company uses an area that is setup as "Skills" and use it to keep track of all current courses. We can then assign this to employees, mass update it for hundreds of employees at once and also utilize the robust reporting platform (Business Intelligence) to report on current faculty and the courses they are able to teach.
The overall usability is easy and user friendly There are so many training options that any type of user is able to get self-paced training and quick tours for simple transactions and other items. The expertise and response time of the customer support team is always great and they are a great partner for solving problems and making processes more efficient
Better reporting functionality in Ultipro time management

We are a global organization and utilize most of UltiPro's available modules (HCM, Benefits, Performance Management, Recruiting, Time & Attendance, and Payroll) throughout the US and Canada. Our company implemented UltiPro in 2012. We have also been using Ultimate's LMS solution, CertPoint, but this application is being phased out of use since our contract is ending within the next couple of months. Our divisions in Mexico and Argentina have limited use of UltiPro's modules at this time.
I would only use UltiPro for payroll processing, but I would ensure that I had adequate audit processes in place to confirm accuracy. The Time & Attendance module is also acceptable, but there is sometimes difficulty in getting appropriate support for configuration issues since Ultimate Software does not actually own the code associated with this product.
For the most part, UltiPro is updated with the correct state and local tax information. Ultimate's partnership that enables them to offer Cognos Business Intelligence integrated with UltiPro is very valuable. This reporting tool is extremely robust and is often used to alleviate data problems and facilitate workaround solutions. Ultimate's partnership with Infor/Lawson has produced a highly configurable TIme & Attendance system. It can be integrated with UltiPro's HCM to keep the data in the time keeping system accurate and various imports/exports are available to integrate time data with UltiPro payroll.
We have had numerous problems with UltiPro's eedtvstartdate field, which is only visible to those who work at Ultimate. According to my account manager, this has been a known issue for several years. The problem is that the eedtvstartdate field actually controls a user's ability to add a deduction code to an employee's record despite the effective date fields available. If payroll discovers that a deduction code needs to be added to a certain employee who never had that specific deduction code assigned to him/her in the past while attempting to process a pay period that has already ended, we need to contact Ultimate so that they can run an SQL script to fix this field so that we can assign it to the employee. The eedtvstartdate field is the true effective date that customers cannot see or update and it always matches the date the code was entered. Our 2015 benefits enrollment was very problematic due to a programming change that Ultimate implemented in the middle of our open enrollment period and their ineffectual attempts to resolve our initial issue, which generated additional issues. All of the elections made by our the hourly employees who had completed open enrollment up to that point (over 500) were no longer visible. Although Ultimate assured us that this was a display issue when we initially called, there was no way for our HRIS team or our employees to view their already completed elections and for our benefits team to determine who had completed their enrollments. Ultimate's attempts to fix this issue resulted in duplicate (and even triplicate) enrollment elections, inconsistent coverage level/dependent elections (e.g., family or spouse coverage elected without any dependents specified), and inconsistent FSA elections (e.g., dependent care annual election of $5,000 with $0.00 biweekly cost). Additionally, certain employees who had not yet enrolled were not able to move from their medical to dental election screen or even view the medical plan option available. When employees were fixed on an individual employee and plan basis, those same employees then had problems with their subsequent plan elections, experiencing the same issues with dental enrollment as they had with medical. Both reports and confirmation statements were incorrect so all elections had to be reviewed manually. Those that could actually get through their online enrollment had confirmation statements indicating that they had no current 2014 coverage even though they had been enrolled throughout the entire year. We ended up using paper forms for FSA elections that were later manually entered into UltiPro since the benefits team did not see the system as reliable enough. It took more than a month to work out all of these data issues so we were not able to meet our vendors' deadlines for providing our open enrollment files. When we have contacted the support center, we have often been given incorrect or incomplete information. For example, when we updated one of our accrual plans, as instructed by Ultimate, we ended up with duplicate accrual records for one individual. This issue appeared during our final stages of payroll processing, but at the time, we did not know that it was related to the recent accrual/PTO plan change we had made while speaking to one of Ultimate's experts. When we called the Rapid Response line that handles urgent payroll issues, the representative "fixed" our immediate issue but did not inform us that her "fix" would delete all accrual information from pay statements for any employee with direct deposit. This impacted over 800 employees. When trying to prevent this same issue from occurring again for the next pay period, we were finally informed that there is an issue with the PTO plan configuration so that the old row of accrual rule information still exists even though it is hidden from the customer. None of the representatives we spoke to were aware of this issue and it was not documented so that customers would know that they would need to completely delete their existing accrual rule information before adding new information. We also have many problems when we pay Ultimate for their expensive customizations. For example, our Canadian team was working with an integration consultant to make a change to the Canadian company only and were specifically instructed to not impact the US company. However, we discovered that our integration from core to Time & Attendance for terminated employees was no longer working, which may have caused us to pay terminated employees for holidays if we had not caught the error ourselves. Another example would be our custom 401(k) payroll remittance export file. Our tax reconciliation entries were reducing our gross wages even though these reconciliation adjustments were simply changes to a tax code and not changes to employee wages. The integration told us that since we did not adequately define gross wages, which is not a company-specific concept, that they did not know to exclude tax reconciliation transactions.

They are really involved in SHRM (Society of Human Resource Managers) and won best place to work. They showcase themselves at SHRM as darlings of high engagement. Employee interactions/ care were so different to their image. People were nice but incompetent. In hindsight, I should have done the following in our evaluation: 1) Have them show us how a specific feature works - not just ask if it does it. A prime example is notification that a manager has an action to do, theres no link in email to Ultipro, we just assumed it was there. 2) Access more back-channel references. We asked as many back channel references as we could find, though our processes were probably a little more sophisticated than theirs. 3) Ask about partner ecosystem.
They failed to deliver on the promise. We were oversold on capabilities and features. We kept getting shocked over and over again and were surprised by how many simple business processes were not supported. We are only using a fraction of the systems stated capabilities as key features are missing. For example while we went forward on people seeing paychecks, we went backwards on ease of use for users and PTO tracking. We bought it for workflow but never turned it on as it couldnt handle the flexibility for things like different levels of bonus. It wasnt flexible enough to map to how we did our business processes. I was really interested in the talent management piece. For compliance, we wanted a system where if something changed, we could push it out to people, they could review it, sign online and update their record. The sales rep affirmed that absolutely works. As we started to implement the talent management piece, we asked about policy acknowledgement, and the implementer said that it doesnt do it. The sales rep clearly misrepresented. When we expressed that this is a real problem, the implementer just said, you need to take this up with your sales rep. There was no ownership of the issue. We understood they didnt do global payroll, but the software couldnt even comprehend global employees and people in the UK reporting to someone in the US. How could you design a software for a global company that didnt support simple things like that? I wouldnteven think to ask that question. We use another application to store our RSU grants. We had made an assumption that theres a taxable event when RSUs vest and that they would automatically be entered in payroll. In actuality, the payroll team had to manually enter them. Before Ultipro, at least could upload spreadsheets. We went backwards. We are not the only company to have RSU grants. We bought their mid-sized product and we should have bought their enterprise product. I feel like the sales person did not guide us adequately. The implementation approach was challenging I asked about their partner network as we were so frustrated by the Ultipro team. There was no one we could call. They didnt have a partner strategy at least in the mid-market.

APS doesn't have all of the functionality and multi-state tax reporting capabilities of Ultipro, but they far succeed them in ease of use and customer service.
If you have a very simple tax profile, then maybe they'll be better for you. Tax reporting seems to be their biggest deficit.
If you dial in to the Rapid Response Team, they are generally pretty quick to help you with your issue. They will also create a case with the details, which sends you an email. There is a fairly extensive variety of reports available. I will say that we have had very few technical issues or bugs, which is important when you're working with a deadline to process payrolls or send reports to the executive team.
I cannot say enough about my frustrations with the Tax Services Department. We are receiving notices almost weekly for taxes that are not being filed and paid at all or not on time. I upload the notices to a case, and I get not reply. We have had to contact tax agencies ourselves and pay late fees directly, because our open cases are ignored for two months or more. I recently had to contact a state and set us up under an installment plan, because taxes hadn't been filed; and we were going to have a lien placed against us. I recently closed out a tax account, myself, with a state; because a zero return wasn't being filed as it should have been. We weren't sure if we'd process with that pay group/state again; but I closed it out to prevent further penalties and notices. Just today, I contacted another state; because I had received a notice to appear before them, due to our 2nd quarter unemployment return not being filed. It's mid-September. It is beyond frustrating that I get ZERO communication or apology, while I continue to take time out of my workload to handle tax issues that we are billed and pay for. I email our NTR directly, and I still can't get a reply. I can't stress the frustration of this enough. If you call with one specific issue, the person on the other end of the phone is only knowledgeable in that console or area of the system. You either have to call back or be transferred around to get help with your remaining question. Communication is a huge deficit. Just reply to clients and let them know that you're looking into something, even if you don't have the answer or resolution yet. You send out a thousand marketing emails a week, but a client can't get a resolution on a case for over 2 months.

Let me start by saying that it used to be great system and in the past I was a huge supporter of UltiPro and Kronos, and I thought they had the best systems out there from a payroll perspective - much easier to use than either Workday or SAP, and they had excellent support. And you were in control - you didn't need to hire a ton of expensive pseudo-IT people to run your department. Sadly, that's no longer the case. It's almost impossible to get support, the UI has gone downhill, and the product is very disjointed. It takes forever to perform simple tasks - very similar to a Workday or SAP. You can get it done, but not easily. You can no longer reach anyone in the Tax department - you can open tickets but no one will ever respond. You're on your own and you don't have the ability to make necessary updates yourself - it's a terrible feeling. I have had tickets open for months and I'm coming up on year end and I'm not going to be able to report accurately. Why they would take away the ability for users to make their own updates to taxing jurisdictions I'll never understand. But they did, and they don't respond when you open a case even after escalating. It's a nightmare. Now, I would go with another vendor given the choice. And that makes me sad.
I absolutely love the reporting capabilities in the core system. UKG uses Cognos, and you can literally write a custom report in minutes and pick up pretty much any field in the database and export it to Excel or PDF or whatever format you're looking for. You can schedule reports that can be automatically sent to your users and they can only see what their role and security allows them to see, you can create dashboards and interface files - whatever you need from a reporting perspective is at your fingertips. And it's as easy as drag and drop. I can't stress enough how useful this feature is.
I hate how long it takes to perform simple tasks, and I am horrified by the fact that they no longer provide test environments - to me it's not an option to test in production. We had to fight and beg for months to get them to make an "exception" for us, and frankly would have moved in another direction had they not eventually given in. The product and support, both of which used to make the system different from the other offerings on the market, have gone so far downhill in such a short time it's astonishing. Be prepared to have to go to a ton of different screens to get basic information or to perform an everyday task. And forget about getting any support. You can open tickets but no one is going to respond no matter how much you beg for help.

UltiPro has helped us integrate our 2000+ decentralized workforce into one HR system. We have a lot of HR users in our locations that are resistant to change, but we have been able to prove to them what Ulti can do for them and the time it can save. We use Ulti for HR, Payroll, Benefits, Open Enrollment/Life Events, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance Management and Time and Attendance. It's great to have all of this in one system, with easily reportable data. As a decentralized workforce, we have many customizations. Ulti can handle all of them with ease. I truly can't say enough good things about the product, and the company.
UltiPro by far has the best customer service and training I've experienced (I've used ADP, Ceridian and SilkRoad products in the past). The system is user friendly and intuitive and customizable to meet our needs. In addition, the company truly cares about customer feedback - and works to implement solutions quickly. It's an all around solid HR system, with many modules that integrate to give you some great functionality and workflow.
I hate to truly list a "con" here as I know Ulti is constantly working to improve their products. I would say though that the Recruiting tool needs continuous ramping up to become a true competitive ATS system. It's working for us now, but we need more from it. The GREAT thing is that every month Ulti is rolling out new features and updates to this module. I'm confident they will continue to enhance this product and make it a great tool for us.

Ultipro has worked very well with managing time from both desktop and mobile devices and provides many options to work with. It is a good fit for someone who does not want to spend too much time setting up a time/payment program and would like a lot of options already loaded. Using Ultipro has made time and pay management easy and understandable for me.
The visual layout of Ultipro makes managing time, payments, and benefits simple and easy to understand. The layout menu that shows all your options is an additional reminder to pay attention to important dates and to keep track of hours logged. I receive emails from Ultipro about managing time and paydates which I find extremely useful. Complicated documents are easy to pull up - I never feel like I'm forgetting to do something important with Ultipro.
Although Ultipro provides many options for managing time, pay, and career goals, it's hard to work outside the guidelines put down for it. This has only come up a few times, when I've wanted to request unpaid time off but the layout only suggests that I can take paid time off. However, Ultipro provides so many options that this is not a common problem.

I've been using UltiPro for nearly 8 years now and the service is amazing. I love the people and the tenure is long at this company. I like working with the same folks sometimes as we develop a friendship. They are open to feedback and are responsive and I really like how they take their time to help you understand your request is being met.
I like the ease of use of the tool. It's user friendly and there's so much you can do in the software. UltiPro is always finding new ways of making their tool better and I love that part.
What do I like least about this is that there's not an assigned payroll specialist to a company.. Even if the option is to pay extra per year to have one. If we have a payroll person who needs help or they resign and we are left payroll person-less, it would be nice to have a designated person to assist... Only other thing I didn't like the most is that the Performance Management module isn't as customizable as I'd like... would love the option to make all items editable and the option to remove/hide certain drop downs, etc..

For the most part positive. For me the pain points are service. Responses seem to be worse since the merger with Kronos. I am not sure why we cannot get some type of response within a 48 hour period. I sometimes have to send this to our account rep before getting some type of response.
we had been on that product 25+ years and management decided to see what was available in the market and UKG became the top contender.
Fairly easy after you get familiar with the product
Fall and Spring releases I struggle with getting all of the features turned on or setup and the turnaround time seems to be aggressive. BI reporting is a struggle especially when the info requires joins not always easy to know when to do so. Cases and service requests - in some areas you want the customer to own their own data and processes and in some cases such as service requests and cases you do not and we have to wait and wait and wait and wait for assistance.

UltiPro allowed us to eliminated many tedious and time-consuming processes, streamlining them that improved efficiency - Applicant Tracking, Onboarding, and Performance Management processes have all been greatly enhanced.
With ADP, the system was not integrated requiring us to enter duplicate information, and only provided payroll services - was not a true HRIS, and was more expensive than what UltiPro provides.
The functionality of the system overall - how each module works with each other, and the fact that I can customize it to my needs myself as we change. The ease of use and training are outstanding!
Not having the ability to have multiple company codes assigned to an employee who may be paid different rates in different company codes, but it does not impact a lot of employees and there is a work-around.
