The ability to customize and create fields and pages the way you need! After learning how to create fields and organize page layout including related list, we were able to streamline activities that took multiple hours to just condense the information in one area. We now no longer need to look through multiple files just to find information. We save a ton of time by setting up views to our team's needs. Love the trailhead site and the ability to look up how others have fixed an issue and take courses to become proficient in building workflows and other training. The initial training leaves a lot to be desired. I wish we learned more robustly what we could do earlier on vs finding out much later and needed to revision processes. Actions have consequences across different areas in Sage. It's difficult to test out new functionality across the different apps and items unless you've memorized all locations of where a field lives and what it feeds. It's also difficult to make updates when you cannot easily find the setting location of your forms, apps, or items. It feels like some functions are really buried. They haven't figured out how to individualize security access by records, this would be wonderful if you have a complicated organization where some users need access to some records but not all. Also, files and notes are searchable which makes security difficult if any uses can see files/notes by searching. Wish you can skip around on the course training to look up specific instructions. Be clear with your expectations of functionality and what you want to learn during the implementation stage. We struggled because everything we wanted to learn about seemed "out of scope" of implementation and it was difficult to get the most value out of our time when we didn't know what to address and what we should learn about as quickly as possible. This setback had a negative effect on our team's ability to successfully implement the system to our users. Know what you want out of the system and speak upfront with your implementation expert to ensure everyone knows who is doing what. Better people management, actual analyzing of data. Process efficiency, team effort quality increase. Time to spend on face-to-face interaction. Our data is centralized and considered the golden record for our department. Having everything stored in one system where you can search everything, is such a time saver and helps all of our team members stay on the same page.

We are assigned a Customer Success Manager who is always very helpful and Support team is excellent. Other salesforce apps don't come close to the support offered by Sage People. They have extensive documentation and a customer community to lean on. They offer training initially during implementation and you can pay for extra training. You can pay for Sage to do configuration or projects for you. The system is very flexible and customizable. We can create and send data files on a schedule through SFTP to benefit and payroll providers. We can request enhancements and most get done in a reasonable time. Every quarter there are vast improvements in new features and enhancements so the system only gets better. Admin functions are difficult for the average user without much training and some items require salesforce admin training to build automation and new fields because it's too technical. CSMs and Support do help in this area. New features often take effort to implement and it does take time to manage, whereas some prebuilt packages are less effort, but you also don't get to customize. Sage People does not handle everything we need to do, such as payroll processing and a learning management system. Customization and flexibility comes at the price of time and training with Sage People. There very few requests that cannot be added by ourselves and enhancements are taken seriously by Sage. They are always wanted to solve our problems and gather feedback to enhance and meet our needs. Automating onboarding and emails that HR and payroll don't have to send one by one. Adding custom forms, custom interface to users. Customization to our terminology and branding and processes.

some of the best features of the Software Include: (1) Head Count report- this shows the total number of staff in history period, right from the deployment to the current month (Live Month) (2) Employee Financial data grid, a one stop report for all details relating to pay for employees. (3) Leave Administration: makes it easier to compute leave details. (4) Statutory reporting in Nigeria especially Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund & Pay As You Earn reports have been seamlessly obtained from the software thereby reducing delays encountered in submission to the regulatory bodies. (5) The application of usage is limitless especially for HR processes and procedures. (1) Reporting may actually,be edited to suit usage at times, (2) the feature for multiple currency usage especially in the management of expatriate employees that are not earning currencies in the local money may be difficult to inculcate in the software. (3) while it has ensured easy retrieval of records and statutory reports, we occasionally have to edit these reports before they are submitted. (4) The software can be slow at times especially after launch on. (5) Having to search for employees using titles is rather cumbersome. You have to discuss all relevant issues your business is facing before deploying the software and to ensure it meets your need. We currently use the software for Employee management and we have been able to achieve- (1) Leave Management (2) Workforce/Manpower Audit (3) Headcount (4) Manpower reporting (5) Employee dashboard

I love the flexibility of the system and ease of use. It enables HR professionals to manage their HR system using a user-friendly interface, without having to rely on an IT department to manage the system. Creating fields, setting up reports can all be done by non-IT professionals which provides a level of flexibility most HR solutions cannot provide. Highly configurable absence/leave module so easy to adapt to needs/requirements of different countries including more 'challenging' ones such as France, Italy or Belgium. Also rate the support received from Fairsail very highly, they are very responsive and are always happy to consider implementing suggestions for improvement in their next releases. The solution is reliable, running on the salesforce.com platform and combines the flexibility of a 'smaller' provider (i.e. vs. Oracle for example) with the robustness and reliability of a large and well established platform. We knew right from the start Fairsail would not support all of our in-country local requirements 'out of the box'. This is not something I 'disliked' but I would like to emphasise that it will take some work to get each country set up, there is no such thing as a default configuration for 'France' or for 'China'. Having said that with the flexibility mentioned above it is relatively easy and quick to configure this and to ensure the system is aligned to our business needs applicable to each country. We had the system up and running, at least for the core functionality - for all countries within 6 weeks. Would highly recommend Fairsail, especially in international organisations who need to see quick results and who do not have a large scale IT team to provide internal support on HR systems. Ideal for HR teams who would like to 'shape' their own HR solution without having to rely on internal or external IT consultants. General HR reporting and forecast, headcount analysis, absence/leave management, recruitment, performance management, overtime, timesheets, self-service employees and managers, payroll interfacing

We moved to Sage People from a 20+-year-old internally developed HR software. We also evaluated other HR software such as Kronos, SAP, and BambooHR. Ultimately, we chose Sage because of the extensive support they provided to us and the ability to customize to fit our organization's needs. We loved the fact that they were completely cloud-based and built on a reputable platform (Salesforce).
Sage People is well suited to small-medium sized organizations that would like a cloud-based HR solution with no need for servers or software to install. I really like the fact that it is based on Salesforce.com so you know that it will be extremely reliable and well supported. It is very flexible and customizable and can work in complex HR arrangements. For example, we have employees in nearly 60 countries and multiple HR jurisdictions and we are able to make it work for us. However, if you are moving from a traditional or customized HR system there may be a steep learning curve and you should be prepared to spend a lot of time setting up and customizing to your needs, in addition to training.
It is completely web-based so both employees and HR administrators can access the software from anywhere with no need to install special software. Sage People is based on the Salesforce.com platform so it has a robust API which is well documented and easy to integrate with other systems. Sage People can integrate with almost any payroll system using their "Payflow" interface Customer support is responsive and helpful.
We found out-of-the-box configuration and fields for employees and salary to be lacking and had to do extensive customization especially for salary. Basic salary functionality like uniform pay grades and automatic calculations based on FTE are lacking. This makes simple things like COLA adjustments to be a chore. It is very easy to customize, which is a "Pro", but also means that you might have to do quite a bit of customization to get it to do what you'd like. The employee Self-serve ("WX") interface can be a bit slow at times.

Sage was a better fit for us for two reasons. One is that SuccessFactors seemed geared toward larger, more structured companies rather than to mid-size companies. The second reason is that from an Implementation standpoint, Sage has their own team while SuccessFactors uses third-party vendors. We felt that Sage would be more invested with us and a better partner in our success.
Sage is great for global, mid-size companies. It's also ideal if you have a good handle on your company's practices and policies, so that configuration of PTO and processes are seamless. It might be a challenge for larger companies, and for companies that are US based only.
Sage is highly flexible and configurable, allowing us to manage the variety of geographies and functional units in one platform. Sage is highly customer focused, with great CSM support. Sage People will be able to integrate with other Sage pillars such as Accounting and Payroll.
Sage Support is sometimes tricky, as the system is so configurable that each client's setup is unique. Sage is so configurable that at times it is a challenge to make use of all the functionality. Sage US Benefits functionality is progressing now that the company is building out the US based resources - CSM, Support, and Systems.

Did not use the product enough to comment on it.
For the $$$/user, I think Sage People does justice to the features and the platform. It's easy to use and the team did not have much problem on implementing and integrating it with our other applications. Can't remember any instance where it's less suited.
Easy to configure, set up, and integrate with pre-existing tools we use on day to day basis. Since everyone is WFH, it can get confusing to know who's who. Sage People eliminates this process You can get access to employees in other departments like sales, development, etc.
Training manuals are not much useful. You always need a helping hand to move forward. When you have to look up employees, we have to provide their job title which I feel is not an efficient way.

We selected Fairsail as our Global HRIS solution 18 months ago and firmly believe we made the right choice for our specific business needs. The key positives being: ' Ease of configuration, enabling us to control/action changes internally and not rely on outside support ' Ability to tailor globally (to meet individual country's local requirement) ' Reporting functionality (using the Salesforce reporting engine) ' Cost effectiveness, compared to other similar products ' Speed of implementation ' Expert support My only small negative feedback would be that one or two of the modules within the product suite (e.g. Recruitment) still need further development in order to bring them up to the quality of the core HCM product. Having said that they are aware of the restrictions and are working to significantly improve them. Overall, having reviewed many other products, I would suggest Fairsail is one of the leading products for mid-size, multinational organisations.

My experience with Sage People is satisfactory. Is a dynamic tool that is constantly improved in each release.
About HR Portal: The Lightning portal is intuitive and you can find the related information easily. On the same screen, you can have a whole overview of what you need. Reports and View are really useful About Set Up: I am happy to say that global search is totally useful. In the last year, I was amending or creating a new set-up as demand and it was easy for me to find the solution. Important features for our company I configured: Surveys, Compensation Plan
Some "logical things" cannot be set up, i.e. global field dependencies to be used in different Objects. In my case, I have to replicate dependencies in the Employment Record, the Vacancy and the HR Request instead to pull the Dependencies from a common set-up. I know this is a specific issue, but is really important for us to have updated the Departments (Function, Sub Function and Team).

From start to finish the customer service from Fairsail was outstanding, in particular our account manager Dave Gulliver. The software has been easy to use and has all the appropriate fields required for the information we wish to store. There were a couple of issues in understanding the full capability of the system as design phase is done without using the system as a basis, therefore you have to define requirements without having experience of the system or being able to see it during the process. However, overall it is a straight forward fully functioning system for both employees and our HR teams to use and the reporting tool is also a good asset to have.

Sag People is still a great and very useful tool to have in your organisation.
It is very handy when booking leave via Sage people. You have different views available to you which allow you to see the rest of your team's leave on one calendar view. Makes it useful to plan ahead as a team. Sage people allows you to add your personal objectives which are also pretty useful. Especially in the way it collaborates with your manager.
In terms of navigation and UX/UI I think it lacks a little here. It feels a little outdated in design and it surely can be improved.

Fairsail is simple to learn and easy to use and configure. It is powerful - includes all the core functionality most people will ever need across the entire employee lifecycle. Integrates really well with existing / other systems. Can be implemented rapidly. Sits on the salesforce platform which is very robust. The staff at Fairsail are fantastic to work with and offer outstanding service. The system is priced very reasonably, especially compared to bigger names in the market. Cannot recommend highly enough - by far and away the best HR software I have ever used!

Sage People is ideal to manage people, however it also allows staff the visibility of leave availability, pay slips, KPI's and reviews of performances. Highly recommended.
Simply enjoy the ease with which Sage People allows the application of leave, uploading of expense claims even the scoring of KPI's that gives Manager and employee the visibility of performance score cards. Allowing the integration of Excel spreadsheets to uploaded saves so much time.
The mobile version is a bit tricky to navigate.
