Paymo is the best platform for project management that offers cutting-edge solutions to help you succeed. Paymo's multitasking features make it easier for office workers to get more done while spending less time and effort. Businesses of all sizes, especially those that are just getting started, can use Paymo to keep track of their projects at every stage, from developing a business strategy to scheduling tasks and showing them on the Gaunt Chart in an orderly fashion. They are also capable of generating estimates and bills. With Paymo's pre-built templates, customers can customize the program to fit their own needs and projects. Paymo is also a database for projects since all of the attachments that the team members supply for the tasks they are working on are stored in one central location for easy access. Paymo is a great app; it's simple to use, the notifications function well, and the task customization that Paymo offers works as intended. There are no complaints. One of the most significant factors that contribute to a project's success is the ability to effectively manage assignments and documents. I highly recommend Paymo. Because Paymo lowered the amount of time spent on administrative tasks, I believe that the work plan was implemented with the utmost efficiency. Paymo's method produced realistic work programs that can be executed and achieve the necessary goals by allowing all members of the work team to participate in its creation.

Paymo is very easy to set up and use. I use it on a daily basis to manage my time spent on different client projects. Paymo has an overview of hours worked, unbilled amounts, milestones, discussions etc so easy to see at a glance progress per project. It is also customisable and has very useful help notes. Invoicing clients is so easy as well - just one click of a button to invoice unbilled time, check the invoice and easily send by email! Paymo keeps a list of invoices sent out which is updated to show status. The invoices can be customised so ready to send to each client. The customer support is fast, I haven't had to use this much but on the odd occasion I have, they have been very helpful, so no worries on that part, which is reassuring. I highly recommend using this project management software, it saves so much time and very easy to use. I wouldn't be without it! There is nothing I dislike about it. It is easy to use, does what it says, I have nothing to dislike! Go ahead and try it! Make use of the 15 day free trial and see how it helps you with your business productivity. I have been using Paymo for about a year now and it has changed my productivity for the better. As a Freelance PA/Project Manager I work for different companies so it is imperative that I can track my time spent on different projects and tasks. Paymo does this easily and with no fuss.

Paymo is a wonderful creation is one of the most solid project management software in the market and it is because it has a set of tools such as task management, Gantt charts and kanban boards, automatic time tracking and reporting of hours worked and resource scheduling just to name a few of the many functions that we can make use of in this software to ensure a perfect workflow with respect to the general characteristics we observed a fluid interface and with a design to which they put a lot of effort to provide a really pleasant experience to the user As for the negative side of Paymo we found a web task timer that does not take into account the moments of inactivity, not very useful to manage marketing projects, incomplete mobile applications which require a little more work, you need more collaboration tools because the access and remote assistance are very slow so larger organizations may have problems There are many reasons why I would recommend Paymo as a project management software but the main ones are its platform which is very complete and rich in functions, its fluid interface which has a characteristic and innovative design that makes learning much easier and for its great capacity as a task management software that allows to organize a certain project in detail In my project management organization it was a quite complex task until Paymo came along as it gave us a lot of solid and easy to learn features with which we organized projects, defined tasks and monitored all activities running in real time, besides this the time saving template tools, milestone alerts and task lists have helped us achieve a lot of our goals in a short time

Simple to use and available on the cloud There support team is dismissive. More than once I've asked to have something changed or fixed after an upgrade to have them tell me "that's the way it's always worked". I'm paying customer, and they don't want to bother to make the tool configurable to fit me. For instance: 1. A few months back they put through an update that changed the behavior of time posting in agenda mode. I used to be able to have the "weekly view" up and the posting would default to the current day & time when posting. Now it always defaults to the beginning of the week. Their solution was to use the "day" view instead. I say bullshit. I used to work the other way - I never requested a change to this nor was there any communication out that this functionality should be changing. 2. I've asked a couple times now for the default billing period to be configurable. It's set to 15 minute increments. I billing in 5 minute increments...so I'm forced to manually type in entries. Again, the development/support team is more than happy to take my $$ each month but not give me any functionality that I need. Run the trial. If it doesn't meet your needs, don't fall in love with it. Do not expect the support team to fix an product bugs but they just want to take your money and spend it. I'm just trying to track time against project activities.....nothing more. I have separate accounting software for my billing. I use this because it's an online tool and I can get to it from the client site without having to VPN.

Paymo is an intuitive tool, since it is easy to use to manage the information of the clients that are affiliated where you can add all type of information related to the execution of projects included in the work statistics, also it has the benefit of the export of invoices to Quickbooks or Xero which facilitates the work, in addition it counts on an active chat which helps you to solve any type of problem that appears You can not use a task timer for different projects you have to make a reservation before use, which affects a little the programming of the company, the application was running slowly but with the new update has improved substantially While it is true that Paymo is an excellent tool for managing information and reducing the generation of invoices to various customers, it is very important that they effectively develop the execution of a timer to guide the respective management activities. Paymo came to our company to improve the level of production, saving considerably the amount of expenses for billing, customer management among other projects, this based substantially on the paymo kanban board, also helps to easy and accurate tracking of all reports and projects shared with different customers.

Paymo lets me track to the minute - even going back to add in time that I wasn't able to track via the app. This has been wonderful as clients might call with something quick but when I'm not able to turn on the tracker, yet I'm still able to appear to them as if I was sitting by the computer eager waiting to help. Further, the amount of notes that I'm able to put into the tracker has allowed me to include more details on live reports and invoices that I was able to do with other apps. This meant that I didn't have to track those tasks in too many spots, easing potential confusion and saving time.
Well suited: tracking time, making notes to share with clients, live reporting. Less so: tracking and bookkeeping - they don't market it as a bookkeeping app, though they do allow for invoicing through it. Still, my needs are such that I use a separate app for tracking receipts against a project and then invoicing clients.
The ability to code exactly what time I worked on a project enables me to bill clients more accurately and within different minimums, which besides more accurately tracking time, this has been extremely helpful as I negotiate contracts for services and offer different deals with potential clients. Some are billed to the minute, some in 15-minute minimums, and some in 20-minute blocks. The live reports are great, showing time spent in the minimums that I've set, while also including as much detail as I wish to share. I've now started just writing my notes into the tracker, which are then carried into the live reports - this eases my needing to send logs to clients, as well as helping me to keep projects on track.
I'd still love a way for the rates to vary based on how much time has been used, especially if a project goes over time. For example, charging one rate for up to a set amount of hours, then reducing/increasing the rate for hours over the threshold based on the contract. Rarely, but enough that it's annoyed me a few times, I've updated the web or the mobile only to find that both are listed in the time report. I go through and combine or delete as need, but it can be a bother and takes time away from doing the work at hand. As they've expanded the product, they've done a good job of informing users of what's been added. Still, I wouldn't mind having some suggestions on how to better use the app and am sure that I'm not doing so to its best ability or at least a guide that can be turned on/off to help explain features.

We still use Trello and Slack, but Basecamp and Hubspot are too much for our operation to manage or integrate. Paymo is missing some of the tracking features of HubSpot and isn't as universally used as Basecamp but we've been with them for 8 years and they seem to know what matters most to their user base.
We've found Paymo is a great solution for our small business (>30 people) that do project based engagements. Agencies and other organizations that have a lot of moving parts could really get their money's worth from Paymo. Paymo might be too complex for a freelancer or individual designer and lacks the automated functionality for businesses that do the same type of work over and over for an individual client.
Paymo is very good at consolidation of projects and has a dashboard that conveys a great deal of information in one place. At a glance you can see where artists are spending most of their hours or where client projects are starting to breach budgets. Payroll reporting is super simple and we've been able to automate that task every two weeks which eliminated the need for our payroll company's exorbitant fees. Having workflows created for projects allowed us to create templates for tasks which had us responding to RFP and bids much faster (ultimately resulting in more projects being won by our sales team).
Payment processing is limited to PayPal, Stripe, and Auth.net. Opening this platform to banks or other processing companies could save us hundreds of additional dollars a year. Duplicating projects could be much simpler. We've created a 'zap' (thanks to Zapier integration) which allows us to do this for Paymo, but it should be a lot simpler to create a new project based off of a project you've already done for a client. Much like the above comment, we are responsible for doing similar work for clients on a monthly retainer. Having the ability to repeat or automate projects/invoices would be a real time saver.

We use Paymo to track and bill employee time, manage customer projects and timelines, invoice for billable hours, flat-rate projects and expenses, and track our performance against projected time allowances for tasks.
Paymo is great for project management with a distributed team. It does a wonderful job of pulling all of the management tools needed to run a business together into one intuitive package. It doesn't have a chat app included in the platform, and we wish there was Glip integration to fill that gap.
Paymo has a great (and customizable) at-a-glance dashboard. From there I can see upcoming milestones, how my employee billable and non-billable hours stack up, how accounts receivable is doing, etc. My whole team loves the Paymo desktop widget. It makes timekeeping really simple and intuitive, and it helps us stay profitable. Timekeeping is always tough, and Paymo makes it as easy as possible! Paymo customer support is fantastic! They really listen to the requests that their clients make. They even have an online community set up where you can submit suggestions, discuss suggestions with other clients and Paymo employees, and see the Paymo development path.
The main area for improvement is exportability of data. It's tough to get full data out of Paymo. You can export most things in CSV format, but if you were to start with Paymo and want to switch to another project management and accounting platform, there would be substantial manual effort involved. There also aren't as many integrations for Paymo as some of the more mainstream project management suites. This isn't necessarily Paymo's fault. It's just a function of them still being one of the "little guys." Something to be aware of before you select this platform though.

It is important to note that Paymo isn't idle in enhancing its software. Not only that, but new features are thoughtful and integrated seamlessly with the tool. I appreciate this because I have used other software that seem to have their priorities mixed up when releasing enhancements; adding things that don't move the needle ahead of things that do.
I switched from Asana, Teamwork, and Things. I was looking for a tool with a kanban board option that allowed me to view tasks across all of my projects and I needed a cost-effective tool for someone who is currently solo but building a business. Asana was cost-prohibitive in that I could not pay for a single user, but had to pay for 5 minimum. Also, the kanban board option I was looking for was an additional upgrade for Asana and Teamwork, making these options even more expensive. Additionally, user experience was a factor. Asana generally has a good UI but I just like Paymo better. Teamwork has some work to do in this regard.
After years of using project management software for both myself and companies I've worked for, I found the right tool for the job for my personal, small business as a marketing coach and online entrepreneur. Until I build a team, I'm using Paymo for myself, and other tools are not always price-sensitive for a solo user. I appreciate that Paymo provides an option to pay for one user until I'm ready to grow. A particular feature I was looking for was the option to view all projects on a single Kanban board. In the rare case that I found this option, it was a significant upgrade to acquire. But Paymo offers this and it's super easy to use! Other features I love: - Time-tracking/timesheet: Visual representation of where my time goes. I use the in-app timer every day. - Flexible viewing options: I can easily switch between list, table, board, and Gantt views, with easy to use filters that allow me to see exactly what I want. No custom reports or views need created - which can be time-consuming and inflexible (enterprise tools). - Note: The user experience of the Gantt chart was also what I was looking for. It is drag and drop and allows you to adjust your timeline from within the view. There's so much to love about Paymo! And that is saying a lot coming from someone who has researched and used as many tools as I have - including enterprise solution, Workfront. Paymo is definitely worth giving a try!
I wish there was a way to invite collaborators/reviewers like there is in Asana. If I want a coaching client to be able to collaborate, there is no way to do this without paying for another user. This is superficial, but, the name! When I tell people about Paymo, they immediately think it's a financial tool, not a project management tool, based on the name. I would hate for this to hold Paymo back in the market.

Do the free trial to see why. You'll get an initial impression that compared to the feature rich apps of Wrike, Asana, Basecamp, Teamwork and many others that Paymo is fairly simple. It is but it has some very-well considered functionality around user permissions, pricing and invoice/report generation. The user interface again looks simple but works great. For us, what's great about Paymo is: 1. Pricing. Great at $4.95 per user. That's a real per user price. 1 user = $4.95 per month. 2. Additional users (we use many collaborators) can then be switched on/off as required. 3. Good user permissions (switch on/off admin, tasks, projects, invoices, estimates, expenses) 4. The general focus on user performance metrics/utilization (with a good dashboard + individual user metrics by hour, month, project and billed/unbilled time. 5. Fantastic, customisable client reporting and wrap-up invoicing with unlimited free client access to these features*. *The invoice module ($9.95/month per account - which is great way to charge for this) monitors unbilled time with a one-click invoice generation button. That's a great feature whether you use Paymo to send (and receive payments) or not. In similar fashion, the client report generation tool is cleverly set-up so you can group time/costs by client, user, projects, task lists, tasks, time, day or billed status as well as include the original budgets by project or tasks. For us that's a massive time-saver and a feature-set that not available or so quick and easy to manage on any other PM system we've tried. The con's on the present feature list (hence why I've only rated Paymo 4 stars overall): 1. There's no easy to see/use UI control over project/task timescales. 2. Equally, no-billable tasks/reminders don't sit as well in the system. 3. Updates aren't realtime, another great Wrike feature. 4. There's no client/guest access to the project details (which I would have thought Paymo could add easily, by making making the default user status 'view only'. 5. Generally speaking Paymo isn't a slick or richly featured as other leading-class PMs. However, as of May 4th 2016 there's a promise on Paymo's pricing page that Gantt charts, task scheduling and progress tracking is 'coming soon'. Would be great to know roughly what that means Paymo but those three features even if relatively simple but robust (in Paymo's style) would considerably round-off and build-out the Paymo App experience.

Would NOT recommend it to anyone who has even the slightest of "outside the box" process for projects or billing/invoices.
Because Zoho was TOO much features/functionality it became overwhelming...then was told lies about all the wonderful things Paymo could do, but it didn't do them int eh way I had explained to the rep...and now I am hunting for yet another system that actually does what it says without being overwhelming!!!!
Yet another system that after several months of use only did what we needed it too at 75% of the way, then AFTER buying into the "huge discount" and special they had going, did I find out they do not allow refunds at all! If you put ANY data into the system and ever need to export it for any reasons ...find a data entry person and hope you didn't enter a lot of information because unless you are a developer that can setup custom API's...your info is stuck in their system! You can enter clients, companies, etc. and change view to "Table" and see it in table mode, but that view still only gives you the general company information, NOT the contacts for that company and that is 1 of 2, yes that is right 2 places in the entire system of everything you may have entered where you can download/export that view into Excel/CSV file....everything else is PDF if you are lucky!! If you are a VERY small, VERY basic bookkeeping/accounting freelancer (NO TEAM, just you and very basic billing) - fine, it may work...but if you have more than 1 person in your team other than you, have different rates or even the SLIGHTEST out of the norm billing or cycles...GOOD LUCK!!! I am furious with this system after being told what it could do and I explained in detail, and "oh yeah, that is not a problem at all"...only to find out, everything I explained about what we needed, went in one ear and out the other just to make the sale...now I have a barely usable system and wasted $$$$!!
Can't export anything unless you have a developer standing bye. System is very "inside the box" thinking even after being told it would easily do what I had explained that I needed it to do support seems to take longer than usual and they are quick to respond with an answer that has NOTHING to do with what you originally asked (bots maybe?!?!) Can't get a refund, no matter how many lies they told you to make the sale in the first place!!!

I use Paymo since it's the first version. Back those days I used the Paymo Plus desktop app, recording absolutely everything I do on my computer. By the end of the day, I reorganized everything. It helped me to find "holes" in my schedule, where I spent too much time on social networks and the internet. Today I plan my week, I collect data about my tasks, searching where can I improve myself. I see how many clients do I have since I started freelancing. All of them there! I manage who is an important client, which one is the most paying one. I often use Timesheets set to a weekly view, so I can see how much I busy this week. A homepage quickly shows all my tasks and a dashboard helps me to see my progress.
Paymo can serve big companies with a large number of users and departments. For me as an individual, Paymo is one place for managing my clients, projects, task, and time. One of the first and absolutely necessary things for me as a freelancer is good, simple to use time management tool. Paymo has an implemented live timer that is connected to all my tasks and projects of a specific client. Not less important is the ability to produce smart time reports I send to my clients and get paid by. Half of my tasks are in Hebrew, and Paymo works just great with RTL languages. This is crucial for my time of business. The report could be set by tasks, days, or other specific categories. The timer exists in the browsers when using the softer, but it also has a completely synchronized desktop app which I use for the most, and mobile app, which I use when I work outside my office.
Actually, Paymo has more features I'm sure I would use, like Gantt Chart, or Invoices, though this feature costs extra $19.95 per month and I prefer not to pay for it since it's not so necessary for my business.

As a very small business - there are only the two of us - I needed a way to accurately track the time we were spending on client projects. Paymo does that for us in a very straightforward way, and the click-and-create reports mean that I can see the information I need for invoicing and get an overview of how we're working through the agreed hours very easily. Not only is our invoicing more accurate - nearly all our monthly invoices have increased as we're not forgetting the odd half-hour here and there - but I also have the answers to the 'what were we doing all day' questions when we spent time on non-chargeable tasks and I'm able to keep a better track of those tasks, too. (I don't use Paymo's invoicing facility - it seem straightforward enough, but I want to do all my accounting in one application to simplify the VAT process.)
Support is fantastic - I have only had to ask for help a couple of times, but when I do the built-in online help facility means I get an answer very quickly, using language I understand. The other thing that is great is the flexibility of the reporting module. One of my clients likes to see how we're using up the agreed project hours as we go through, so I have created a report just for him and given him the link. He's happy to be getting the information he needs to plan without my having to spend time getting it for him.
Most of the things that were on my wish list have been incorporated into recent releases. The only one I would still like would be the ability to share reports within the company - at the moment, I do a screenshot of the configuration and my employee copies it. It's not a huge issue, but it would be useful to be able to have personal and shared (company-wide) reports.

Back in 2009 we started a fledgling web design company called FreshSpark Creative. Paymo was just starting out and seeking customers, help and ideas. We were able to request certain features which were implemented, the foundations of what would become an excellent working relationship. In 2012 I started my second company and we had 5 full time staff using the platform in 2016. As we became VAT registered we were unfortunately forced to use Xero for our billing to comply with UK regs, but that only demonstrated how good Paymo was - Xero is incredibly sluggish, lots of micromanagement and lacks the quality of design which we strive to portray as a business. We modified the set up of our business to help deal with the issues caused by Brexit and I once again use Paymo for all time keeping and billing. Paymo has been a constant in my professional life as a business director, alongside Google Mail and Google Cal.
Google tasks was good because it synced with Google Calendar, but was very limited and time consuming to use. We have always used Paymo for billing, from day dot.
Fast and effective management of time and resources. I love how easy it is to log time, create invoices and complete all my accounting obligations as a UK business owner quickly and stylishly.
I guess my biggest dislike is the new timesheets view, the hitboxes on the time entries seem to be slightly out of sync with the visual modules. Also as I have been using the software for over 10 years, there is a lot of old data which I cannot remove in bulk.

We've been with Paymo for 3 months so far but the results have already showed up. We mainly use the progress board for segmenting our work in phases and identyfing bottlenecks before it's too late (columns get to be crowded at the implementation phase). Without it it would be impossible to visualize our workflow. The scheduler is also something that we use in order to establish the work capacity of each member. We can see who's overbooked or not and determine how to allocate them in the most...

Hey, everyone, I use **Paymo** already for 2 months and I find the application is useful for me. It absolutely suits me as to a freelancer and I see it's ideal for small and middle projects. The only thing I should do manually is the profit calculation. I think It can be crucial in case of a huge number of projects in parallel. It costs its own money for sure. I recommend this app to all who cannot choose the app to manage their work. Best, Sergey

Solid app for contractors and employers to track time spent on various tasks. Being able to add manual time blocks if you forget to start it as well as idle time if you forget to turn it off. Would be nice to be able to search by task name instead of just project (if you're unsure which project a specific task is in) but besides that a nice program. Native app for macOS is nice so you can close the website and still track.

In our digital agency, ONLINE TORO consulting, we chose as management app paymo and we are very satisfied. We needed a way to accurately track the time we spent on client projects. Paymo is a great helper for tracking time. This app is easy to use and accurate time tracking. I can say that paymo is a great indicator of our work for our clients. I recommend everyone who needs to improve their time management.

Paymo is an awesome way that my company has been keep track of time. I love that I can manually add in things, and also click a start button to track time. My favorite feature is that I can track my time according to my task. Then later I can go see what I spent my time on! Love it!
