I really like all the reports you can run, they provide an abundance of data that make my job so much easier. I'm also impressed with the Kronos Community training sessions, the trainers are always great! I've even done many trainings twice to be refreshed and the second go rounds have been just as interesting and useful as the first. We have had Dimensions for about 3 years now and still don't have full functionality of all features which is the main reason for the score given. Not sure if things are being held up on our end, or if things have slowed to the pandemic though. Once we have full access to all the cool features we've been shown I would easily bump up the rating! Don't enjoy having to go through Kronos Community message boards to get answers to questions, there should be a dedicated group of people that you can easily contact for help. It can be rather difficult getting answers to questions as there isn't a specialized tech rep to reach out to; you have to search "UKG Kronos Community" which doesn't always have the answer you're looking for. It has been great for helping us lower OT within the company, which has been a big issue. Being able to easily compile and review employee data has been great!

I love how simple and streamlined it is! There are many 1 click tasks that utilize artificial intelligence. This saves time for our employees and managers. The Data Views are very helpful for organizing and managing the data. I love the push notifications and ease of the product. We have received positive feedback from our users regarding managing missed punches, viewing time off on a calendar, single sign-on and Microsoft Outlook integration. I wish the historical data would have transferred from our previous platform. However, we have been able to access our old data and there have been no issues. I definitely recommend UKG Dimensions. It has resolved many issues that we experienced with our previous platform. The ease, streamlining of tasks and view of the data have had a tremendous impact on our organization. The UKG team has been awesome--dedicated and knowledgeable experts with a tremendous customer service focus. It saves time for our employees and managers. We have gained greater efficiencies and reporting capabilities. The SSO, Outlook Integration and Time Off Calendar Synchronization have been a BIG hit with our employees and managers.

The front end is very user-friendly and has a clean, modern feel to the UI. Like how the UI is device agnostic. Notifications and tiles are nice for end-users to know when they need to act on a time sheet. Operation management of integrations is very ardous. There is no ability to cancel jobs. Simple things take many clicks, and there is no flexibility when it comes to configuration. Batch processing of large data files, i.e. person import takes 6+ hours. At this point, if you are a large enterprise with 50K+ employees, you will find that trying to process large files takes a considerable amount of time. While the vendor is improving processing, it is not here; we are patiently waiting for these performance enhancements. If you have time to wait, I recommend waiting it out, for it looks like it will be better in the future. Have a scheduling and timekeeping solution in one product. UKG allows that benefit. Looking for a way to minimize our clock footprint across the enterprise. While there is wifi-geofencing that is a benefit to reduce clocking in unauthorized places, it has become troublesome to maintain an enterprise-scale amount of APs BSSIDs

I like the use of the dashboards to access personal data, such as accruals very quickly, As well as a means to request time off. The product was not ready to be used with the same functions that we used WFC timekeeping. We started the conversion process in January of 2019 and discovered that the move hours function was not available. We had to postpone conversion until it was ready. In WFC we use Crystal Reports to produce several reports after payroll processing. I have not been able to replicate these reports with DImensions. Make sure the product can provide the functionality, and reporting ability that you are needing. From the start, we were ensured that we could produce the reporting that we currently create using Crystal Reports. I have not been able to do this with the DataViews and Reporting functions currently built-in to the product. Wait for the product to mature. We had hoped to utilize certain components of Dimensions, but have discovered that they do not fit in our operations. A couple of these components are application tracking and analytics. We are probably (providing we do not run into other roadblocks) still a few months before going live with Dimensions. Perhaps, opinions will change with familiarity. Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to review your Workforce Dimensions solution. I was delighted to hear that you are enjoying the use of the dashboards, we do find this feature to be very popular. As for the issues you are experiencing, I would suggest heading to the Kronos Community. There you can interact with Kronos experts or other peers, who may have a solution to your reporting issue. I would also suggest checking out KnowledgeMap or KnowledgeMap live under the "Learn" tab within the Kronos Community. If you have any other comments or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me directly at Samantha.conway@kronos.com. Best, Samantha Conway Customer Marketing Specialist

Having Timekeeping, HR and Payroll in a combined system with a single log in for end users has been great. The full suite makes processing payroll easy, and information more complete and accessible. The system has made cooperation and information between HR and payroll much better. There is very little information out there regarding the full suite and how the modules all work together. We have had a difficult time finding instruction on how the information flows back and forth and how to address issues we have with those processes. After a year we have still not had an opportunity to "get the most out of Kronos". Hoping this next year we will have more opportunity to build onto our current product and not spend so much time troubleshooting and learning. Waiting for fixes to come every months or so is frustrating as well, because many things that become a PAR issue are usually holding up progress on our end. We currently have some issues out regarding Business Structure updates in the full suite. There are also a couple of PAR issues that are being worked out by engineering ( schedule reporting, Org set access issues) but overall we are doing better than we have as we approach the end of our first year in the full suite. Having one place for employees to access All of their information has been a huge benefit. The reporting abilities are also a huge benefit because they are so customizable.

I feel like someone has to be a web developer to claim that this app is "easy" to use. IT IS FAR FROM EASY. Very complicated. Overwhelming fields. Your employee and users will easily get lost in this tool. We've only rolled this out for 3 days and heard TONS of complains, questions, and negative feedback!

To resolve the issue with long-running imports, Kronos wants me to write new extract query (one that worked fine for WFC). So instead of resolving their performance issues, they are asking the customer to solve the problem.

UKG Dimensions is by far and away [from] the best Timekeeping, Scheduling, and HR tool that I've used.
UKG Dimensions works well for organizations [that] are open to change and newer technologies, and have a good change management strategy in place. Organizations with clear requirements around their pay policies, scheduling rules, and accrual policies will benefit from using UKG Dimensions. If an organization does not have buy-in, and excitement from [its] top leaders of the organization may experience a difficult time when implementing this solution.
UKG Dimensions is easy to use on any device for all of our users The reporting capability within the HCM (HR & Payroll) side of the system has robust reporting capabilities, which are used regularly by our end-users for decision support, and other reporting needs. UKG Dimensions is ever-evolving, based on feedback from users. The product development teams are interested in feedback, and always working to improve the product. We are able to give our users more abilities to control their experience within the application. From customizing the home page to submitting edits within their timecards for approval, the work of ensuring a positive experience, and accurate time cards by the employee is a positive experience.
For organizations with a central staffing department, or 'delegated users' to approve employee requests, the system can be difficult to use. Our organization has had to find workarounds for these types of roles, and recommend ideas to the UKG product development team for improvement. The position management piece within the HCM side of Dimensions does not tie into the employee reporting well. As an organization with many employees who have secondary or tertiary roles, it can be very difficult to report on those non-primary positions. For users of Advanced Scheduling, the set up of job transfer sets can be a difficult balance to ensure users are seeing appropriate employees swap shifts with, or request to cover a shift, while also ensuring they are able to see these employees in a location schedule. For system administrators, there is a need to be able to pull data based on system settings, such as the configuration of adjustment rules, organizational sets, pay rules, etc. Currently, there is no reporting tool for these system settings, and it can be difficult to audit or maintain these settings without some type of reporting tool.

Dimensions have been great for us with the customization. I have been informed that UltiPro had capabilities that were never built out. We had UltiPro and made the change right before and in the midst of the merger. The HCM side was much better in UltiPro in many ways but the timekeeping/scheduling side is much better in Dimensions. We have managed to make the HCM work for us but some things in UltiPro were better.
It just works so great as a unified system. There is so much customization. I would only not recommend it if a company is super small and would not have the knowledge/resources to build it out or pay a consulting company to help build it.
The scheduling and timekeeping functionality that reports off one another. The cohesion here. Workflows in the HCM side creates great automation with customization. The flexibility and control of access in Dimensions and HCM.
The incident feature is not robust at all. There are a ton of features here we would love to use but it locks down automatically from each step to the next and is not as customizable. There are glitches that remain issues for months as a par without being fixed. Such as every time a user creates and HR New Hire Action an error screen pops up that says Account Not Found. No one can find or resolve this glitch and it makes our daily users think it is constantly broken. There are some great ideas in the community that would be helpful to have built out but they take a while to get up voted enough to build out but then other things like adding a turtle alternative gets upvoted super fast which can be frustrating.

UKG Dimensions provides an enterprise-wide integrated suite for timekeeping, staff scheduling, and clocks. We were an existing Workforce Central customer for timekeeping only and were interested in providing holistic experience between staff scheduling and timekeeping. In addition, [UKG] Dimensions established a great foundation for transitioning our organization from departmental focused scheduling solutions to enterprise.
UKG Dimensions provides an extensive feature offering for advanced scheduling in non-procedural clinical settings and administrative operations. Although EZ-Call can be used for procedural areas the lack of out the box integration with [UKG] Dimensions creates an undesirable experience for departments needing both products. UKG [Dimensions] can increase customer adoption by offering a more integrated experience for clinical settings requiring both products.
Access everywhere through any device with consistent user experience Full suite staff scheduling offering to cover broad as well unique needs Strong user community and willingness to incorporate customer feedback into the product roadmap
Adherence to industry best practices for release cycle management across all cloud offerings Stronger integration partnership with EPIC for Dimensions and EZ-Call products Improved documentation, roadmaps, and service alerts on Trust Site and UKG Community for Datahub and EZ-Call products

WorkForce Software has a solid foundation for enterprise scaled employee counts of 100,000 employees and supports multiple assignment configurations, i.e. one employee can have multiple timesheets that multiple managers can own. UKG has one employee to one timecard. It makes it hard for companies that have employees that can have multiple jobs within the organization that can have separate timecards that report to multiple managers. UKG works well for medium size employee counts, once over 10K employees, you start to see the system have performance issues. WorkForce was able to handle 80K employees and process an employee demographic file in 2 hours, while UKG with 26K employees takes 6 hours. WorkForce lacks end-user configuration documentation, while UKG has great documentation and training materials. UKG's user community is top-notch, while WorkForce's has before 3 years, there has been no improvement. UKG has a better support model for end-user support. Workforce provides database access and the ability to write javascript for integrations. UKG has no access to the database and uses APIs that are not [flexible] to retrieve data. End-user configuration for UKG does not require a programmer or IT professional, while WorkForce has a powerful rules engine policy editor that makes it highly [flexible].
UKG Dimensions will work well with a company size of [fewer] than 10,000 employees. Once you hit over 10K, you start to notice that batch jobs will time out, clocks will perform slower or become unresponsive requiring manual restarts and the employee demographic will take hours to complete. Will the vendor has on their roadmap to increase the performance of the product, it is not at that point.
Front end UI is modern. Documentation and training within the help system is well documented. Attestation workflow for employee punch correction via time card and time clock with manager approval is well designed.
The configuration of the system takes many clicks to perform simple tasks. The product does not feel enterprise-ready for large employee-scale deployment. Too many repetitive steps. There could be better error-checking for configuration. The system allows for configuration that is not supported by the product but still allows you to save it.st If an integration batch job is running, you do not have the ability to cancel the job. For jobs that can take 4 hours, one has to wait for jor the job to end, it needs to end sooner.

I like the Home page with access to whatever you need It's helpful to have the option of using the app for mobile devices Very helpful that staff now have the option of fixing errors on their own time cards
-Staff cannot see completed schedule with all staff -print outs of schedule have multiple duplicates of staff d/t overlap in shift times -My biggest complaint is for example going from a schedule in a specific department to someone's timecard, when you try and go back it takes you to all staff and you have to start over with selecting the department you had been working in. The previous version you could click on the tabs you had open to go back and forth. Very clunky and time consuming -when working on a schedule, you can only see one week at a time where as the previous version you could view a whole month if needed -Only one person can receive alerts or notifications per department -while staff has been trained it is very common that they enter multiple edits, time off requests etc. Duplicate Time off requests cant be removed from the schedule. you can cancel them but then you have an approved time off and a canceled on the same time frame. messy and confusing. -I guess over all the upgrade feels like we went backwards as it takes way more time that it used to navigating through.

The sales team did a great job at selling the product as the new and improved system.
At the moment - not much. The new GUI is nice in that it is Java and Flash Free.
Integrations take hours - versus the minutes they took in Workforce Central. How do you move a system to a new database (Apache Cassandra) and use a new Integration tool (Dell Boomi) and sell this as a new and improved system. Features available in WFC are not available in WFD - can't sign off on all timecards in one action. When you view a timecard, it shows you the current day. Not many managers or editors are looking to just edit a single day. This default shows the developers don't know their customers SQL free DB means we cannot query our data. Have to develop dataviews or use provided APIs in their Data Extract tool. I seriously doubt all custom queries I wrote for WFC can be reproduced.

The project manager was great, keep us on target. We should have asked for a different rep for the time keeping piece. It felt like he was learning the product too. Also, he didn't understand the activies/work piece so we felt like we went in circles. Once it was setup it had to be re-worked because it didn't go to the activities piece. I believe had we know that the charging time to projects had changed we probably would not have selected UKG. Huge shoot to Chanelle Birch, she help setup our activities/work. I really enjoyed working with her.
It does capture time very well. We are multi-state and it knows the rules of each state.
The new activities/work feature. It's disconnected with the timecard. Hours should match and they don't if someone isn't paying attention. In California someone can use makeup time, move OT to regular in the same work week. The activities/work doesn't capture the change, the time stays as OT.

We didn't have an option - WFC was being eliminated.
Cloud based, typically user friendly. Well known name and for the most part, the employee experience is good. Managers love the access to dataviews and the options they can customize.
Integrations have been an issue. Getting support from UKG is an issue. We pay a UKG consultant month since before we transitions to Dimensions and we always have some issue that we need help with. This consultant ensures we have a dedicated person to speak with regarding issues as opposed to being passed from one person to another when contacting KGS. Behind the scenes could be more consolidated. It doesn't make since to have multiple related functions in 5 different places. Dimensions did away with lots of helpful functionality from Workforce Central. Your set up will have to be redone completely - your system does not just transition from WFC to Dimensions.

Better tracking of absences. Our company has adoption issues of using Scheduler in the past. But the new WFD was better than the old WFC, so we can use the scheduler better and be able to report off absences and lates for our Hourly employees. Then managers and HR can take corrective actions for employees that are often late or absent.
Cloud based, so no need to have internal IT to support the hardware. Patching boxes, and security updates on our own servers.
The product came with Analytics inside the basic time keeping, but we didn't want to pay for it. But it still was available. Very confusing for customers. Why do we get something we didn't pay for? Also the rep gave us a migration cost. We wanted accrual licenses removed when we migrated from Workforce Central, but the rep didn't allow us due to a migration contract. So we had to pay for stuff we didn't want to use.

The team assigned to us for implementation was fantastic to work with! They were great at answering questions, keeping up on track and helping us successfully implement this software in our organization.
We are utilizing Workforce Ready and chose to make the switch for a more streamlined experience for our uses as well as the ability for the two systems to talk more frequently to one another.
This product has allowed us to connect more directly to the WFReady module we utilize. We did not have the ease of this when previously utilizing WFCentral.
The reporting is a little difficult to work with. The more we have become acclimated, it has become easier. It would be nice to have the ability to select more areas to add as columns in the reports rather than being limited to the list generated for the report that is already created in UKG Dimensions.
