5.0The APS payroll system is user-friendly. The system is really easy to use and the training process allows multiple employees to train at one time. The customer service is great. I have spoken with several team members on many different occasions and every team member is eager to help and provide great responses. Whenever I have an issue (which is not often), my questions are answered promptly with resolution. I also like the quarterly updates. The quarterly updates are live webinars that are also recorded for later review. The quarterly updates keep the users informed of upcoming changes and system enhancement. 5.0My team appreciates the teamwork and helpful customer service. I am confident any question or issue I may have is met with respect and prompt attention. If the resolution isn't given at the first response, it is escalated to a higher consult. In every case, my team and I feel that our questions / situations are always important and that the APS team will work quickly to resolve any issue and answer all requests. They target issues with great diligence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
5.0Ease of implementation. Support during transition from UltiPro. Depth of knowledge in payroll practices, all across the country. Especially the abilities to handle difficult California employment law- APS makes it a piece of cake! Simplicity of a unified platform for the entire employee life cycle. 0.0UI/UX is not very intuitive, some tabs seem redundant, I typically have to look several places for information before finding the correct spot. The same is true of eselfserve - for example, employees don't update their direct deposit info in the "Pay" tab, they update it in the "Info" tab. There are several missing features, like having employee managers as a built-in field (you can create a custom field to track this, but it adds unnecessary administrative burden). Implementation has also been much longer than we were promised (4-6 weeks, and it's taken 3 months and still isn't complete). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
0.0So far it is not a good solution for our mid-sized company. They overpromised throughout the sales process but have not delivered on much. Every time we ask for something that we were told during the sales process would be easy to do, the implementation team pushes back and says they don't do that. The functionality is not designed for multi-unit locations. The onboarding process is clunky and has no supporting documentation. The implementation has been extremely painful and no one at APS seems to have any urgency to get things done. The employee upload was incorrectly done multiple times and is still not right. I could go on and on, but you get the point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
0.5I could go on and on with more details about the problems, but suffice it to say that even though the price is good, you get what you pay for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

5.0The whole process goes very smoothly. If we have something we want to change, the change gets made fairly quickly. If we need to speak to a rep they are a phone call or email away.

5.0Saves time. Very easy to use
1.0DO NOT use APS payroll services. They lie and what they sale you is not right. They lock you in for a year and then do not let you out even though they do not provide you with the services promised. It sounds good on the sales side but do not believe a word that comes out of [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] mouth. Their implementation is poor and no one is on the same page. it does not do what they say it will do.
1.0We switched our 80 employee weekly payroll to APS in January 2016. Out of 4 payrolls run they committed serious errors and omissions of details to us causing failed direct deposits, check numbers starting at 100 and uncashable at many paycheck cashing services, as well an a long list of more minor errors and overcharges. They refused to pay for the errors or refund the over $2000 we paid for implrmentation. This made January the highest cost payroll month in our 32 year history with more total errors in one month than in the prior ten years.
2.0We wanted a system that employees could use but it's not intuitive and not visually pleasing. The onboarding process was painful for system setup, so we never subjected our employees to it.

10.0We use APS to process payroll for our whole organization.
Their customer service is fabulous. They are always very friendly and quick to answer questions. Their website is easy to navigate. There are also customizable screens for faster navigation to items used more often. Very easy to edit and add information about employees.
10.0APS is our payroll service and we also use the HR and Benefit modules. All of our employees us the eSelfServe module to see their pay stubs, W2s, and to enroll in benefits. Our HR department uses the software to run payroll, for benefit administration, and to store other relevant employee information.
10.0We use APS along side the time and attendance portion; it allows us to track and monitor our employees' time, attendance and overall performance with the company. In addition, the reports that I can generate at the drop of a dime for employee turnover, overtime in a week, gross payroll expense by the month as well as new hires by department, give me an edge I did not have with our previous system. It blows the minds of management in how quickly I can produce them as well as the details that come attached.
4.0APS Online is being used for payroll for our corporate office and 16 restaurant locations. APS OnLine is used by the Payroll and Accounting Departments. APS OnLine stores employee information. This program also provides reports used in allocating payroll and expenses. There are files written in APS OnLine that we use to import payroll numbers.
The download (pdf or txt) reports generated do not create a separate tab. Therefore, you have to start over in the system when running multiple reports. Setting up GL coding is very cumbersome; especially when you have multiple locations. Not all set up functions or reporting functions are user friendly or intuitive.
7.0We currently use APS bank wide, from viewing pay stubs to requesting time off. Within the next few months, we will be set up for the online evaluation process through APS. The report writing feature is used by HR, Financial Accounting, for auditing needs and cost center accounting.
I have been disappointed in the communication between the programming department and its clients. I'm very impressed with the representatives such as Georgia, April and team, but not pleased with the turnaround time on solving issues. There was very little communication and only when I started the communication was there a reply.
7.0APS Online is mainly used by one individual to conduct payroll functions, HR reporting, benefits management (carrier connect). Most office personnel utilize the eSelfServe for clocking.
Reporting: wish it was more user friendly. Maybe establish "standard" reports so I could just select a report. Would like to see the ability to see pay increase progression by employee. Improve the ease of carrier connection. Confirmation when enrollment/termination is transmitted to insurance carrier. Would like ability to run a attendance calendar for each employee reflecting tardies, absentees (vac, sick, any reason) all in one report. Would like ability to pull up one employee from employee list and see a snapshot of the employee. Would like ability to do bulk pay rate changes instead of opening up every employee individually. Either by across the board % increase or individual rates.

5.0Overall: I am beyond satisfied with our move to APS. The overall payroll processing system is easier to use than our previous system and has significantly more functionality by enabling employees to enter their hours directly via website or app and then enabling managers to approve automatically. The transition took about two months and throughout the experience, APS made it their priority to communicate clearly and effectively with me. Customer service is clearly a top value, and I am pleased with my assigned team's quick and consistent availability either via email or phone. Our service, functionality, efficiency, comprehension, and overall satisfaction have increased dramatically with APS, while our monthly payments have decreased. That makes us one very happy customer!
5.0Overall: As having transitioned to APS at the beginning of this year, we are still rolling out new functions within the APS product, but have had an AMAZING group of assigned (dedicated) representatives from the Project Manager and Sales Account Representative to our Help Desk team and the Benefits, HR, and APS Hire experts to help us through the transition, implementation, and 'de-bugging' journey!
4.0Overall: Our team is comprised of people that work in the field and either rarely or never log onto a computer. Thanks to APS, I was able to streamline the process through which staff members access eSelfserve and punch in/out. They've also recently helped us out with putting up a new payroll system for one of our subsidiaries.
5.0Overall: Before APS our payroll process was a multiple day process. It was a compilation of paper a third party time clock system that was very limited and our vacation policy was maintained by a spreadsheet and emails.
3.0Overall: I love the customer service. They are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, quick to respond, and always trying to make the experience easier for you. Sometimes I think their hands are tied though.
5.0Overall: Being able to combine payroll AND HR online is amazing. I love the reporting options I have and that I can still run payroll in house but have APS handle the taxes so they are done correctly.
