    GoCo is a user-friendly platform with clear instructions for onboarding. I really like the onboarding workflow that it provides for our new employees. In addition, GoCo has many partners that they can recommend you to for benefits and other lines of coverage. It's a versatile tool without becoming too robust or confusing to navigate and administer; making it a perfect fit for our small team. The cost compared to other HRIS is not as risky allowing you to see if it is indeed a good fit for your organization. GoCo also provides great resources outside of the HRIS platform itself with HR-focused webinars, and a blog that stays relevant to the times. Sometimes we may run into some errors during implementation of new plans. However, the account representatives at GoCo are quick to resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner. Sometimes they roll out new features that could use a little more finessing but otherwise I don't have any real dislikes. They also don't work with all providers but are continually working on expanding their network and the benefit lines that can be added. The onboarding process goes smoothly if you have all of your employee records as organized as possible beforehand. Be honest with your account manager about your pain points to make sure they are addressed during implementation or have a feature added to their wishlist for future implementation. If there is something that GoCo does not provide or if there are additional features you wish to see, reach out to their team! They love hearing new suggestions and are very receptive to them. If it's currently in production, they will let you know. GoCo also offers a free demo and a trial so be sure to take advantage of it to make sure that it's the right fit for you before moving forward. Take the time to speak with your account manager and implementation team and you'll find they are very supportive of you and your goals while using their system. Also if you have trouble getting buy-in from execs to switch from a paper system to GoCo's system, I recommend having GoCo run them through a demo with you. If you tell them what fears or questions the exec team has, they will be sure to address it in their presentation for you. They really do care about making your HR administration better and will try to advocate for you as much as possible. Also if you don't have a broker for benefits administration, COBRA, etc. just ask and they will refer you to a great team. Our benefits administration is being completed on-time and without rush; lowering stress levels during our open enrollment period. We are also have more productive 1:1 meetings but using their Feedback timeline tool. It provides a transparent frame of reference but also gives employees and managers a place to make notes regarding any struggles are achievements in their employment to bring up during the next meeting. We have saved a lot of time with PTO tracking as well since GoCo takes care of all the calculations and has a process for employees to submit requests. This has led to more accurate records and a smoother payroll process.

    After reviewing many HRIS platforms and having a failed experience implementing Bamboo, we were very nervous about moving ahead with a new system. However, our GoCo sales rep, Amanda, was incredible and went above and beyond to give us comfort with the functionality of the platform and show us how it could meet our needs. We had a little bit of a rocky start because we have many moving parts (integrations with payroll, a new TPA plus GoCo integrations for HSA/FSA/COBRA), feeds to our medical benefits provider, etc. but the implementation team made the necessary pivots and got us back on track and has been super responsive and on top of the other vendors to ensure we will be ready for go-live. The platform itself is very easy to use although we are still getting comfortable with using the workflows. The integration with Jazz ATS is GREAT and will enable us to streamline our onboarding significantly! The training sessions are great but the hands-on portion is a bit tricky, especially for learning how to use the workflows. There's not enough time to really learn and apply during the sessions so it feels a little stressful. With GoCo we will have one place for employees to go to see their benefits, compensation, org chart, emergency contacts, and employment history details! We haven't gone live yet but I'm excited for employees to start interacting with the system. It will also enable us to replace our current clunky pdf-based onboarding emails with a streamlined process for new hires with e-signatures that can be completed on a mobile phone thus enhancing the experience for new hires! We are also looking forward to easily getting e-signatures on documents such as updated handbooks and commission plans!

    We seriously love GoCo. I lead a non-profit organization with multiple locations and about 25 employees, and having GoCo has become essential. We use it extensively, including onboarding, PTO, performance reviews, payroll (syncing with Quickbooks Payroll), and general employee documentation and management. Even the little things, like if we need an employee to sign a new form, it's a few clicks and it's ready in their inbox. So easy. Setup takes some time, but it's very straightforward. As for the support, there have been a few times when I've needed to reach out to the GoCo team and every time, they are so helpful and enthusiastic. They seem to love their job and love HR, which is exactly the kind of person I need in those moments! Every time they have solved my problem. There are QUITE a lot of features that do not come with the base package. You'll need to also purchase several of their apps to get functions like PTO, performance reviews, workflows, benefits, and time tracking. It does make sense that they do this so that you can build the HR platform you need, but you do need to factor these additional costs into your decision. One more thing about support, although the support staff are AMAZING, it takes at least 24 hours for them to get back to me. I wish I could get answers to simple questions within a workday, but that's a small thing. We use it extensively, including onboarding, PTO, performance reviews, payroll (syncing with Quickbooks Payroll), and general employee documentation and management.

    I love the onboarding and offboarding features. It's so refreshing moving to a software that can send everything to an employee and have them fill it all out electronically. I also added to the onboarding workflow to give myself reminders of all the other manual things I need to do. The vacation requesting feature is super easy, there are lots of policies and settings we can customize for everything. There are some small gaps/oversights. Their magic docs feature is great in a lot of ways but the word docs don't look good and I can't upload headers or footers to add our logo. When they ask for signature, the only option is to actually sign using your mouse, which is very hard to do as opposed to the option to write your name in cursive and verify it. I'm still working on fully understanding document storage, and there are two places to put documents in employees profiles, custom fields and documents. Not big things, but it's not the absolutely most intuitive system to use. Still very easy, though, once you get the hang of it. Making a way better impression on new hires, having everything in one place and more prepared on their first days. Much nicer way to centralize important employee info, like emergency contacts and personal emails, instead of keeping a spreadsheet I have to manually update. The holidays and PTO calendars sync with our outlook calendars, so I keep better track of who's on vacation. We haven't had a performance review round yet but I expect it will be helpful to upload reviews through goco and keep on employee's profiles.

    I am very pleased with the ability to either manually enter timesheet hours or ask employees to clock in and out, as we are not structured for using clock-in badges or kiosks at our small library. Having all employee data in one place is an excellent resource, and I look forward to utilizing the benefits management portion of the platform to further streamline our onboarding process. Creating custom reports that can aggregate the needed data in one spreadsheet in minutes is also a feature I use regularly for many different HR tasks. Customer service has repeatedly gone above and beyond to help us with any and all issues, resolving problems promptly and providing follow up that was greatly valued. The time off scheduling is difficult to manage with prorated part-time employees, as we have to create a new time off classification for each amount, whether they work 20 hours, 24 hours, 30 hours, or so on. We have a lot of part-time personnel and this has made using the time-off feature both time-consuming and frustrating. We were also unable to edit our benefits plans ourselves when we switched carriers between the renewal periods and had to contact support to add our new dental and vision carrier. I am very pleased with using GoCo for our time tracking and employee onboarding. It is an excellent resource to find all information on an employee quickly, from salary to start date, which has been invaluable as my organization pivots to offering its own benefits rather than lumped in with a previous umbrella group.

    The GoCo system for us is a change of functions that has now been implemented in human resources in order to receive much more effective responses, the company information as well as the database, it is necessary to keep it safe and optimized so It is important to keep optimized we can give effective answers for these types of problems in order to optimize payments, interviews, and base. It works correctly without any inconvenience or negativity, in my opinion the function of your work I feel that you can improve the Interface in the future by giving more intuitive points so as not to have to use technical support in any kind of doubts or questions regarding the system to do it more interactive. I recommend it, it does not have a negative point, the answers give a good performance, and for me it is very complete and detailed allowing to reduce the time at work reducing the heavy work of human resources and clarifying it has a very nice interface. It is definitely necessary to optimize the human resources area for when there is a lot of data, avoiding it manually can be a very complicated and stressful system to maintain an optimized base, but GoCo the human resources area is optimally reducing our time by releasing stress work and this way we can be much calmer to generate a more effective job, now conducting interviews is less stressful.

    Communication between GoCo and myself improved on the Payroll Sync side. Any questions that may have arose were communicated immediately. I retired from the secondary company so I handed off those task to a new firm.

    I'm optimistic that Goco will continue adding improvements and additional staff until their product is as strong as Zenefits. I'd just hold off signing up until that happens.

    We switched from Zenefits to GoCo when Zenefits was going through all of their internal turmoil. Initially we had a dedicated rep with Zenefits. Then they took that away and we had a team assigned to a pool of accounts. Then that went away and all we could do was send an email in if we had an issue. It became impossible to manage issues and questions.
    We have really enjoyed using GoCo for our HR needs. It has suited us well after we switched from Zenefits. Initially we did not have good support with the rep from One Digital who served as our GoCo broker partner. However, we have a new rep who has been very responsive and helpful when employees have had benefit questions or issues with coverage.

    This is a great product for a small company. For a large group, its probably less well suited. Overall small business will like the ease of use and convenience of the product. A large business would need better reporting functionality and probably a better payroll system. Execupay is a little clunky.

    We currently meet with our GoCo representative once a month to 'check-in', and have done so since we switched to GoCo years ago. This says ALOT! They want feedback on the good, the bad, and the challenging, and they ALWAYS act on it. If I have a question that I send to our representative, I have no doubt that I will get a response within an hour. I've said this before, and I'll say it again, it's so nice to work with company that aligns with our core values. They are definitely a great team that Gives Customers What They Want and Builds Something Special every step of the way!

    I use GoCo mainly when I need to update our Team Members' profile to make them eligible for benefits within our Company. GoCo makes offering our Team Members benefits and enrolling them into our plans so much easier! During open enrollment, not only am I sending our eligible Team Members emails to remind them to enroll in our benefits, but GoCo is also sending them multiple emails so they don't miss their opportunity to take advantage of their potential benefits. It's so refreshing to get rid of all the paperwork and complete everything electronically flawlessly.
    Our company structure is set up a little differently than most. We have multiple companies under one umbrella company. This makes it a tad bit challenging for GoCo to be able to structure the profile setup, necessary documents, and permissions, but they have turned this into an opportunity to make updates and create additional features.

    Fantastic. Seriously, I can't say enough good things about them. I'm excited to see how this company progresses.
    We needed something that we could set up and only touch to do employee maintenance. Needed to move away from programming. Also, needed something that was proven to be mobile friendly.
    Super easy to use. No more staff griping. I don't have to have a full time administrator. GoCo.io has assembled one of the most responsive an knowledgable teams I have ever dealt with. I was sold on this when I was told they looked at HRIS like a game, it should be something people can figure out. My staff has done just that, and they able to poke through parts and do what they need to do with limited input. Their mobile interface is just like the desktop version. The staff is responsive, the implementation manager was superb! It's weird as an HR manager to be excited about software, but going to GoCo after our last experience was like dealing with a broken down high end sports car that looks nice in the garage, but doesn't go anywhere, to a super reliable truck that just gets the job done.
    It's a newer company, and it has less modules an options, it's what I refer to as "vanilla with sprinkles." That being said, when I set out to select a software, I aimed to get one that had what I needed, and I didn't focus on any nice-to-haves. I don't even miss all the other stuff I used to have, because this delivers on what I need in a fantastic way.

    Goco promised a lot - everything Zenefits offered (since it was founded by former staff of theirs) - plus MORE! Unfortunately, in my opinion they haven't delivered. The pros are that this is basically a free software if you don't add any bells and whistles, and it is WAYbetter than managing an HR system on paper or with spreadsheets. The onboarding process is great on the new employee side. The staff have welcomed my feedback when I give it, which I appreciate.
    As soon as we switched to Goco, we entered a nightmare. We were charged for things the sales rep said we wouldn't be (the company executives sent a very nice apology about that misunderstanding), the functionality did not live up to its promises and has lots of annoying little UI issues, and it is like pulling teeth to get a response from my account rep (I received a separate apology directly from the exec about that). From my perspective, Goco is suffering new-startup syndrome where they overloaded their staff and make promises they can't possibly deliver. I do believe that my Customer Service rep and all the staff are genuinely trying their best and that the company has simply bitten off more than they can chew.

    Easy to log in to clock in and clock out, look up PTO available and what is scheduled. I also perform a payroll sync Bi-Weekly which is fairly simple.
    Used GoCo for a a secondary company that I was working for. Paid GoCo for a payroll sync service with a separate payroll provider service. The Payroll Sync service is being performed manually by GoCo and is not an automated between the two providers. There were issues at the beginning where sync's were not accurate or marked as being sync'd and they weren't. I tried to verify the sync's before running payroll, but the whole purpose of paying someone to do it is so you don't have to. Some issues were a breakdown in communication, some were changes to policy that needed to be updated on the initial questionnaire, other issues not so sure. Be aware that even though GoCo offers the payroll sync service it may not be automated and they manually enter the sync information.

    We started using GoCo when we joined OneDigital. It's been a great partnership for us. I appreciate that GoCo includes support and not just a platform.
    GoCo is a light weight HRIS platform that has a nice set of features that are perfect for our size of company (less than 35.) Benefits and open enrollment are much easier than the previous paper approach. And Goco sends the reminders, not us! Same thing with time off management and approvals. 95% of staff use it consistently and appropriately. Onboarding new hires is much easier when they can review material and benefits prior to day one. Best of all, though, are the people. Responsive and pleasant.
    I'd like to see more change control features that include explanations for why we are making a change. Did I change vacation because--someone made a mistake or because we gave someone a vacation day for performance reasons?

    First, this software is completely free! I was amazed because it is a great product for nothing. They are open that they'd like to set you up with their benefits provider. They did call once, but it was no pressure and they were quick . You can start a hire from start to finish here and it sends them an email letting them know they need to fill out paperwork online. It really streamlines my process. Employees can also update their direct deposit and request vacation days here. It has a very modern look and feel and customer service is AWESOME. They get back to you so quickly. Great product that syncs with Slack, PayChecks, ADP and Outlook calendar.
    I am waiting for more functionality. I'd like to be able to retroactively add current employees with ease. Currently, I'd have to enter them individually. But the software is free and streamlined my onboarding so I'm happy.
