    Being able to purchase specific modules that we will acutally use is the most helpful. Some systems are not as customizable and therefore you are spending money for modules that is not necessary to the business or won't be utilized based on company size or current processes. Customer service is good and responsive. I like that if my representative is not avaialable, my call can go directly to the support staff that can assist me. There are also a number of user friendly features for the time card system. The integration team was gone which made for good implementation process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    Some of the things I love about Paylocity are the self-service features and ability to intergrate with other software applications. By empowering applicants and employees to manage day to day changes to thier own demographics, it saves our HR team a lot of time and puts our employees in control. My favorite thing about Paylocity is how well it intergrates with other systems. Take for example our Retirement platform that has a 360 data feed set up so that employees can make changes to their 401k elections in Paylocity or in the retirement portal and the data flows seemlessly. This is a space where you really can't have data entry errors. Anther example is the data feeds that flow from the benefits portal in Paylocity to our insurance carriers- no more manual changes in two places! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    The UI of the web app is confusing and difficult to use. If you look at the url, it appears they call their web UI "Escher" and I am dying to know if that's an uninformed irony or if they intentionally built a project full of metaphorical stairs to nowhere, because I feel like I'm in an Escher drawing when I try to perform a simple task like request time off. I just learned that I've been requesting time off, and getting it approved, for 6 months without that time being taken out of my paycheck because I was using a part of the app available to me but not the correct one that was actually connected to our time. There are so many different links and features and they aren't laid out intuitively, so you have to click through lots of different links to try to find what you need.     pretty much everything...functionality is terrible, trying to write an ad hoc report is a pain, trying to get any kind of simple enhancement can take 9-12 months "if enough clients ask for it" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    Just awful.. I have been unable to log into my account for more than eight months. No help available and they only have bankers hours. Don't waste a minute or a penny on this cheap mom and pop operation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

    Our overall experience was not good and I definitely would not recommend this product for large companies or international companies. We switched to Ceridian, after having Paylocity for a little over a year and the entire time we had Paylocity we had a lot of troubles with functionality.

    Paylocity is the payroll and admin system we currently use at our company to update W-2 information, benefits, 401k, flexible spending, dependents, time-off, payroll and is a source of company wide information such as holidays and announcements. It is the source page where all employees can log in and check their status or company information.
    It is user friendly It handles HR functions well Is an accurate source for the company

    We use Paylocity for payroll and HRIS. We also use various modules such as Benefits, Recruiting, Onboarding, LMS, Performance, and Time & Labor. It keeps all of the data in one system and helps minimize the "double entry" into multiple systems.
    Reporting Integration with vendors. Streamlining workflows.

    Pros: sorta easy to use, customer service can be really good (it can also be frustrating). Might be good for a company with office workers (small law firms, etc), NOT recommended for Restaurants. Cons: There are A LOT. Let's start with the basics. If your employee gets locked out, YOU are the one they call. Paylocity does not offer support to staff. Some of the basic reporting does not work properly. Time-off tracking can't be auto-assigned to new employees, it's another step in the hiring process. When hiring a person using the templates, Paylocity's system can't accurately calculate salaries (seriously...this is a basic function and Paylocity can't perform it). If you have Spanish speaking employees, Payocity does not support them through their platform, but they will still charge you for them. There is a "work-around" (by the way, this their favorite phrase), but ONLY if you use a desktop and ONLY if you use Chrome's translate webpage feature. It's not practical. There is a form for just about everything you want to do unless you ask the right questions. If you know what to ask, you can usually find the right answer.
    The entire platform needs improvement.

    We use Paylocity as our HRIS. Some of the things we use Paylocity for is to organize personnel files, performance and benefits administration. Our HRIS also allows us to organize timely payrolls.
    Customer Service and response times need imrovement Needs to allow for more user autonomy if customer service is going to be slow. Have to rely too much on Paylocity's response time to get things fixed. Needs more automation system-wide

    Overall: Overall, Paylocity is a decent HRIS with a good payroll platform. It's easy to use from an employee perspective. Visually appealing, easy to navigate, app is great too. If they could get their customer service handled, I'd be happier.

    Overall: I believe this app is an excellent tool for onboarding! It has a robust system with numerous extra features for new hires to utilize. Setting up direct deposit and tracking my hours worked was very easy.
