Everything else. The system is inflexible, customer service is horrible, and they do a bait-and-switch with every module. You think you are getting a more robust Paylocity module, but once you sign the contract, it is finally revealed that the module is actually a partner company with a separate login, separate system, and separate support team. If you have a payroll question or problem, it is nearly impossible to find help. You are given a generic email of 'email@example.com' and never seem to be able to identify a particular person. There is no urgency to resolving issues - turnaround time is often days or weeks, and sometimes no follow up at all. No interface to the G/L, payroll reports are only available in pdf, performance management is clunky. My employees preferred the paper-based performance management process to the electronic Paylocity process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is next to impossible to do anything functional. You cannot make any corrections to taxes or your timesheet and have the information save. I have been paid wrong every single check since our company onboarded this software. It honestly has created monumental amounts of stress in my life due to poor software leading to incorrect pay. Our overall experience was not good and I definitely would not recommend this product for large companies or international companies. We switched to Ceridian, after having Paylocity for a little over a year and the entire time we had Paylocity we had a lot of troubles with functionality.

Paylocity is the payroll and admin system we currently use at our company to update W-2 information, benefits, 401k, flexible spending, dependents, time-off, payroll and is a source of company wide information such as holidays and announcements. It is the source page where all employees can log in and check their status or company information.

We use Paylocity for payroll and HRIS. We also use various modules such as Benefits, Recruiting, Onboarding, LMS, Performance, and Time & Labor. It keeps all of the data in one system and helps minimize the "double entry" into multiple systems.

Pros: sorta easy to use, customer service can be really good (it can also be frustrating). Might be good for a company with office workers (small law firms, etc), NOT recommended for Restaurants. Cons: There are A LOT. Let's start with the basics. If your employee gets locked out, YOU are the one they call. Paylocity does not offer support to staff. Some of the basic reporting does not work properly. Time-off tracking can't be auto-assigned to new employees, it's another step in the hiring process. When hiring a person using the templates, Paylocity's system can't accurately calculate salaries (seriously...this is a basic function and Paylocity can't perform it). If you have Spanish speaking employees, Payocity does not support them through their platform, but they will still charge you for them. There is a "work-around" (by the way, this their favorite phrase), but ONLY if you use a desktop and ONLY if you use Chrome's translate webpage feature. It's not practical. There is a form for just about everything you want to do unless you ask the right questions. If you know what to ask, you can usually find the right answer.

We use Paylocity as our HRIS. Some of the things we use Paylocity for is to organize personnel files, performance and benefits administration. Our HRIS also allows us to organize timely payrolls.
Customer Service and response times need imrovement Needs to allow for more user autonomy if customer service is going to be slow. Have to rely too much on Paylocity's response time to get things fixed. Needs more automation system-wide

In general, we've had a good experience with this software. Paylocity has worked well to meet the payroll needs of our company. IT's been easy to use and helps us to quickly and efficiently take care of the employee timekeeping and payroll each week. Paylocity manages all of the direct deposit, payroll deductions, payments to tax agencies, insurance companies and garnishments, et cetera, so that we don't have to employ an in-house Payroll expert. Employees have an online profile that they can log into, where they can manage their information and can pull up their pay history. In a small company like ours, we appreciate the ability to oursource the heavy lifting of the payroll responsibilities. Paylocity has done a great job in this regard, and they are responsive when we need to give them a call for support.

I found HR & Payroll so unbelievably easy to use that we soon added the user friendly Time & Attendance module, later, the Expenses. We delayed adding Expenses because they did not yet have the Proxy setup. As soon as they got that going, which decreased the time we spent on expenses reimbursements by more than two thirds. When Covid shut our office down last March, I was so glad I was already established with Paylocity and had already begun to look into more features. We were able to quickly add Onboarding, Performance Management, and Benefits Enterprise, so we transitioned pretty seamlessly to a remote working. Impressions are a big hit with all of our employees. Great way to hand out kudos.

My overall experience with Paylocity is very positive. My implementation went very smooth and the continued follow up made the process work very well. Since then, there have been no major issues or mishaps. The most important thing to me is paying employees promptly and accurately. While Paylocity cannot prevent human error, it does do all it can to advise, report and remind about items which could present issues . We are very happy with Paylocity and all it has to offer.

If you are a small to medium size business, this could be a great vendor for you. However, if you predict growing to a large enterprise level company down the road, it may be best to consider other vendors who can scale with you. In our experience, we outgrew Paylocity's functionality, and its system limitations caused us to move to another vendor. That is not to the fault of Paylocity however; I'm sure Facebook doesn't use Quickbooks!

Paylocity has made our jobs easier, more accurate, more efficient and take less time to look up the history of an employee. If something goes wrong, Paylocity fixes it right away, their customer services is impeccable, they are attentive and very knowledgeable in the payroll and hr field. I love that they are compliant in each state which makes making sure we are compliant in all areas easy.

I have worked in many systems and Paylocity is by far my preference. Their implementations are smooth and their product is exactly what they promote it to be. Their robust reporting features have allowed us to better support our finance team in creating more accurate financial backup. The ease of use for our users has created more accurate timekeeping and labor cost allocations.
