    I like the user friendly interface and simplicity of the tool. The employee profiles are simply but leave enough room to add a lof ot information. Also the recruiting functions is easy to use and visually appealing - very user friendly, which is important as onboarding hiring managers should not take long or be complex. I also appreciate Personio's constant efforts to improve the tool and add new modules -> this is where I see more potential for Personio, if some modules are extended and improved, this really is an all-around effective HR tool. Simplicity often can also lead to lack of detail in certain processes, for example the Performance & Development module is quite basic and allows only few moderations - would not necessarily say I dislike this strongly, but it is a downside. One thing I do dislike is the ever-changing of module, interfaces, etc. While I know it is also on me as a user to check whether updates are scheduled etc. I wish we would be contacted directly if modules are to be changed - for example the "Goal" module moved from the "Performance" tab on the profile to a whole different section. We were not aware and were then overrun by employees not understanding where to input their goals. We lost valuable time having to learn the differences made ourselves first and then create a whole new info page and video. From my perspective this should be improved. Personio simplifies our onboarding process - sending automated messages to new employees before and during onboarded secures a good onboarding as well as compliance. It makes our recruiting simple and smooth, enabling us to offer a good candidate experience. The reporting tool helps us build business cases and provide our (hiring) managers with valuable input. Last but not least from a HR admin perspective it is easy to use and covers our needs - i.e. absence management is simlpified for both employee and us to.

    I really appreciate the range of features that Personio offers. Its comprehensive and intuitive software allows us to streamline our HR tasks with ease, saving time for both managers and employees. By combining different functions into one application, we are able to eliminate many manual procedures from our HR processes, which also saves resources on operational costs associated with paperwork management. In addition, the clean user interface design makes it easy for employees or visitors unfamiliar with the process to quickly find what they need when navigating through an employee record within Personio's platform. Overall, I highly recommend Personio's services due to their remarkable performance in ensuring that everything related to human resource operations is easy and efficient! I appreciate the features that Personio offers; however, there are certain areas that could be improved. In particular, I find that going through some processes can be lengthy and tedious due to a lack of automation or streamlined approach. In addition, while the response from community users is often helpful in providing solutions, it would be beneficial if more aspects such as pricing were reviewed - offering monthly packages per user could dramatically improve costs. Personio solves the problem of manually managing employee data and payroll by providing an automated system that streamlines timekeeping, payroll and other administrative tasks. By eliminating the use of unneeded Excel files to track these activities, critical data is better protected through a more secure digital platform.

While the reports provided a general overview of salary data, they did not include more detailed information such as one-time compensation, which would have been useful in making more informed decisions. It also allows you to automate repetitive tasks and create more efficiencies, giving you more time to focus on the strategic aspects of HR.     The core of managing my employee files works great (store personal data and documents). I like the UI in most places and the structuring. The ideas around automation (document templates) and recruiting, kind of an "application tracking system (ATS) light", are good. I like the self-service aspects so people can update their data and upload or download documents we used to handle through manual interaction. A) Communication with the support team is the worst, and I don't feel they take communication & support seriously at all. A junior support agent answers every request and follows some basic playbooks. They push me to create "community ideas" almost for every support message. That process falls apart when I'm dealing with actual bugs that influence my daily business. That's where a lot of frustration piled up the past 12 months. We just prolonged the subscription by another 12 months, but actually, this feels like a probation period for them for 12 months. I gave up telling them about issues or even proposing minor valuable features. It's a waste of time, I will live with whatever I get. B) Feature bloat: They release many features like the latest addition, the workflow hub, or some early feature like Performance Review, but they don't dedicate enough time to get the basics straight first (like the mentioned bugs). We don't use the Performance Review Module of Personio. There are dedicated solutions (like Lattice) that do a brilliant job, while the feature in Personio is just a shadow of what's possible and valuable. Yes, you can always say a dedicated solution for recruiting, onboarding, etc is always better. I want to point out that Personio is evolving in many places in parallel, but they seem not to care about the foundation that most folks are looking for when searching for an HRIS. Be careful when you expect a mature solution. It's not. C) I thought they embrace SMEs, but by today it feels like I have fallen for the bait, and I wonder what I would think about the other players like BambooHR in the market after 12 months. Maybe the same? It's our first HRIS, so I still have hope. D) Things I'm dealing with if you are interested: + API has no webhooks (pretty common for APIs and important for some advanced automation we do) at all and I only got feedback after 7 months "wait for API v2 which is not planned yet". + Onboarding/Offboarding creation experience feels very clunky and cumbersome and hinders our folks from improving that part continuously. + The document template engine does not support a preview on Firefox + The preview itself does not match the final result + The template organization is super clunky where we already wasted days of work. + The recruiting API has a tiny but annoying bug of removing line feeds of incoming applications (from our website form). I'v been waiting for seven months for a fix now. Just three months ago, developer-related person on the platform suggested "it's planned for the next sprint". This week, three months later, I got note about "no time, intended behavior". Look at the details and approach folks who use Personio. Their website or a short testing period can't replace the condensed feedback from folks using it. Introducing an HRIS is an important milestone that will influence your internal processes and directly impact your employees. You can't easily switch and HRIS, be careful which you pick. We introduced it for our employee files, and we were excited to solve our recruiting and onboarding process issues with it. The employee file handling works great but it's the smallest part. We do not use time tracking, performance review or payroll. Dear Personio customer, Thank you for your review.     I have used Personio in 3 companies now. I love the features, the usability and the friendliness of the team. They go the extra mile to make a product launch successful. We had a long discussion with the sales team prior to the contract because there was one feature that the competitor had that we missed dearly. The sales team recommended writing software ourselves to create importable data. In exchange, we got a discount on the price of 35%. During the first year, the import function did not work for more than 6 weeks. We had to manually type in the data. This led to an effort that reduced the positive effects of personio to as good as nothing for the year. It started working again out of the blue and the support did not understand why it stopped or why it started to work again. We would have hoped to convince them to test the interfaces offered. But that did not seem possible. After one year the discount was reduced to 5%. At the same time, we asked to make sure that the import works as we rely on it. We do understand that prices can be negotiated. We would have expected that the sales team mentions that the discounts are only granted for one year. After Sales Service mentioned that this is a frequent problem. Sales offers discounts to make the deal. Then prices are being raised after one year and the customers are very unhappy. We find the process has a touch that is neither transparent nor fair. Choose wisely with whom to go through the effort of software implementation. We centralized all employee data and use it to manage, contracts, vacation, sickness and the like. If it works, it is a treat! We work decentralized and personio provides the transparency that we need. Dear Personio customer, Thank you for your review.     - many useful modules are already available to map a range of personnel processes - it has a modern design and in many places it is also implemented in a user-friendly way - the support is always very friendly and endeavored - the software is web-based and accessible from anywhere - with a little effort you can somehow get most of the data out of Personio - the administration is good to handle (as long you stay in the standard) - the integration from a lot of different modules to one system - it has been slower and slower lately - there are still a number of modules or functionalities in the modules that are missing or have not been thought through consistently (onboarding, reporting possibilities, mobile app, etc.) - sometimes there are also logic gaps which lead to the fact that automatic systems simply cannot represent reality (e.g. vacation calculation in absence due to parental leave and illness; no matter what you do, a calculation always runs wrong) - what bothers me the most, or rather my impression is: more and more construction sites are being opened than old ones are being closed completely - Communication of changes in the tool sometimes somewhat late You should, as always, look closely at what you are looking for. Personio does a lot of things right but does not always meet all requirements. For example, is personnel cost planning an important topic or does our company have a rather complex corporate structure? Then Personio might not necessarily be the right choice. Currently, it is a good all-rounder for medium-sized businesses - so it's good for us. But this does not automatically apply to every business model. - Absence - Personnel Administration - Onboarding - Recruiting - Template management - Reporting (what is possible) - Partial data transfer to Datev for billing - Digital personnel file (in progress) ... and probably a number of other small things that I can't think of right now.

    I believe that Personio really helps us to become a better company on the operational side of things. Also, they really listen to what you have to say. Personio is under constant development and since it is a SaaS product, new and useful features will pop up all the time as part of your SaaS plan.

    We have had this software for some time in the HR department, and we love it because it has all the functions and tools for complete HR management, from recruitment to payroll. It has an interface that we all understand and use easily, so we adapted to it in no time.
    This software could be of great help to many companies to keep an orderly manner and in the same control panel, all the management of their employees. Perfect for human resources departments that want to automate tedious tasks, with the guarantee that they will be well executed.
    Allows automatic posting of job offers on different sites and portals to find the perfect candidates for available vacancies. It has employee tracking tools, such as attendance and absence tracking, as well as time monitoring of working hours and overtime. Payroll management is very complete and is done quickly and almost automatically, as it enters hours worked, overtime and absences, with an accurate calculation to avoid errors.
    Some processes could be more automatic or with fewer clicks, for example, role-based authorization, which, although a security feature, could be simplified. It is a fairly intuitive and navigable software, but because it is so complete, it has different modules, tools, and functions that can make its learning curve steep. Some attributes at the time of payroll cannot be changed or customized.

    Our overall experience with Personio has been extremely positive. It has allowed us to digitize and streamline our processes and workflows in a way that has vastly increased our efficiency and the quality of our services as an HR department. Personio has enabled us to very quickly move all our core HR processes to the software and makes it possible for us to handle them in a much more efficient, user-friendly way. The software has also been a great help to our employees, who can take care of their HR tasks much easier now, as well as our team leaders and managers, who now have a better way of administrating and supervising their team and making sure all tasks are taken care of. Working together with Personio's implementation and key account managers, as well as their customer support team, has always been a great experience. Personio provides extensive support, guidance and best practices which help in further improving workflows and customizing the software for each individual company. Overall, with its variety of features, Personio has opened countless ways for us to optimize our processes and offer better services, and has enabled us as HR to transform from a department preoccupied by administrative tasks to a true strategic partner.
    We greatly appreciate all of the features Personio offers, and actively use the entire range of tools and features. In terms of core HR processes, one of the most instant and most significant benefits of using Personio was the easy administration of personnel data and the absence management. Everyone in our company, from employees to managers to members of the HR team, has benefitted tremendously from Personio's user-friendly absence management features, which all our employees use regularly. Both our HR and Accounting departments profit from the extensive reporting features, which we use to create monthly, quarterly or annual reports on all relevant personnel data. This function is also appreciated by our managers, who can gain quick overviews on key figures with just a few clicks. Apart from the administrative features, it is mainly Personio's recruiting tool which has impacted our HR processes in an extremely positive way. Creating and publishing job ads, managing applications and communicating with applicants has never been so easy, and is enabling us to manage our recruiting workflows in a way that is sure to leave a positive impression on applicants. All in all, Personio has greatly improved our HR processes and, along with this, improved the working lives of all internal stakeholders.
    Since we are a global company, our aim is to roll out Personio internationally to all our subsidiaries in different countries around the world. In this regard, we are doing a certain amount of pioneer work, as the system is not yet completely perfected for international use and some features or special configurations are not yet part of the software. Therefore, we need to align the requirements of our international subsidiaries with the features currently available in the software and, in some cases, find workarounds. Personio has provided great support in this process and has been able to provide solutions to the vast majority of topics we dealt with.

    If I had to name a benchmark for what the smoothest, most flexible and flawless software implementation process I ever have been part of was, it would be this. From the product itself (simple, clean, powerful) to the implementation management (competent, friendly, flexible, knowledgable) to the support and service (fast, helpful, invested) and finally the passive resources (helcenter, tutorials, technical documentation, customer information, release notes) this just rocks. I am very happy with it and can only recommend Personio further.
    The functionalities are powerful and well implemented. All features are thoroughly thought through and integrate tight and seamlessly into each other. Whenever I came across something i wondered about there was a good reason for it to be this way and it came in handy when we needed it. So, the product itself is simply top notch. The Customer Service also is fantastic. We had an implementation manager who was understanding, helpful, progressively thinking and extremely well versed in the product. On top of it she was flexible and friendly. I can not imagine how it could have been better.
    I can not imagine much. Some of the Features (for example handling of training tracking or the recruitment part) could have some more features but than again, it is always a matter of keeping the balance between to much and lacking. This balance was always there and I appreciate that it is clear, that some areas of the product still are growing. For our use case everything we needed (and more) was there.

    What I like most about the operating system is that it contains a variety of functions, and as a result, covers the entire Personnel Department. From holiday requests to recruitment, every function is included. Since we have started using Personio, we have realised that we now spend more time on other HR tasks instead of a large chunk of our day being dedicated to administration tasks. I particularly like that our employees are required to work together with our department, and are automatically informed if they have failed to provide a doctor's note for sick leave for example. Previously, we needed to constantly chase-up employees for documents such as these. Additionally, we now have a system that all employees from our Accounting and HR Departments can access, and no longer need to rely on confusing MS Excel spreadsheets.
    I would say that I like everything about Personio. What I sometimes wish for would be an instant messaging option that could be used to send messages directly to employees via Personio. Besides this, we are very satisfied with the operating system.

    We have saved a lot of time preparing the pay rolls for our employees as we had to do it all manually before and now it's just a couple of clicks. We also use their documents storage and each employee knows where to find their important information instead asking the HR manager or look for it on google docs. The benefits and time saving definitely outweigh the costs of this app.
    Switched from an American to a German tool to align with GDPR rules and have more features.
    The support is great. Everyone I have talked to on the phone was aways super nice and helpful. I also like the fact that they take your feedback seriously and suggest the things you mentioned to their product team and might implement solutions that will make the tool even better for you and your team.
    It's not easy to set up because it's very detailed- that's why you have an implementation manager to help you with that. I also have to use their support quite often when I want to change something, because I'm afraid that it'll adjust things I didn't want to change.

    Personio simplifies our HR management in more than one aspect. Finishing the payroll accounting no longer needs half a day and the time we saved can be used for things more important than bureaucracy. The software enables much more tools and possibilities than you recognize at first sight. We still are in the process of exploring new features almost every day.
    For using the intuitive software there is no previous knowledge needed, both sides (employer and employee) have access and are able to overview working hours, vacation, absences and payrolls. In case of questions, Personio offers a powerful Helpcenter and personal support, who helps as fast as possible.
    The only thing that can be improved is the Helpcenter: day-by-day Personio launches new features where sometime an active push notification, which motivates to take a closer look at the different features (incl. a detailed explanation at the Helpcenter) would be great.

    Difficult. I like it! Had some experience with Workdays in the company before and was at the beginning a kind of sad that little business has not the budget for such software. But now I am even happier because Personio not only is quiete as good - it is even better for small business purpose because it's less complex and allowes to stremline processes better for our needs.
    It's HR Software with service for every employee, managers etc. - and so what I like most is, that nearly everybody likes to use it though we did not have much training effort. Big benefit (usualy) is as well, that Personio has an ongoing development nad gets even better every month.
    Some "improvements" - especially in design - are not really steps forward but seem to complicate work - but usually respective suggestions are heared and drawn into account.
